Customers are delighted by the OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1's overall performance, portability, and impressive battery life. The fast processor and touchscreen display are also well-received, along with its thin design and lightweight build. However, some users have noted concerns regarding heat generated under heavy use, as well as the screen's color accuracy, and some noise when plugged in.

Review: I bought this laptop from Best Buy approximately four weeks ago, and I've been using it every day for work and play. It seemed sturdy and well-built straight out of the package, and setup was quick and easy.
Performance: Multitasking is done with ease by the HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 - Copilot+ PC - 14" 2K Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 5 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Atmospheric Blue combo. When working with Office apps and streaming music, I typically have 8–10 tabs open in Chrome, and it has never lag. I was astonished at this pricing because even basic photo and video editing functions well.
Display & Sound: For viewing movies, the screen is clear, bright, and has excellent color accuracy. Although I wish they had a little more bass, the speakers are clear. Ideal for binge-watching YouTube or Netflix.
Keyboard & Trackpad: Good key travel makes typing comfortable. Gestures function flawlessly, and the trackpad is quick and fluid.
Battery Life: I often get [enter actual usage hours] out of a full charge, which is more than enough to get me through a workday. It charges really quickly as well.
Design & Construction: Compact, light, and portable. Compared to my last laptop, the finish feels more upscale and doesn't get fingerprints as easily.
Small Drawbacks:
While hardly a deal breaker, it's worth mentioning that fans can become a bit noisy while performing demanding work.
For convenience, I would have delighted to have had an additional USB port.
Conclusion: In terms of performance, portability, and affordability, this laptop excels. Students, remote workers, and part-time producers looking for a dependable yet affordable solution would find it ideal. I would unquestionably suggest it to anyone searching for a trustworthy daily device.
Go get yours.
I live in the UK but got this for my sister in living in US. These were her words.

The HP OmniBook X Flip delivers solid performance in a flexible convertible design. The Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor handles everyday tasks smoothly, and the Copilot+ PC features add genuinely useful AI capabilities for productivity and creativity.
Pros: Beautiful 2K touchscreen with vibrant colors, excellent battery life thanks to efficient Intel chip, sturdy hinge for tablet/tent modes, 16GB RAM handles multitasking well, premium Atmospheric Blue finish looks sharp.
Cons: 512GB storage fills up quickly if you work with large files, keyboard flex noticeable during heavy typing, price point is higher than comparable non-AI laptops.
Verdict: Ideal for users who want versatility and AI-powered features in a premium package. The convertible design genuinely adds value for note-taking and media consumption. If you need a traditional laptop only, you might find better value elsewhere, but for those who'll use the 2-in-1 functionality, it's a compelling choice.

Good laptop. I use it for travel and value good battery life, a good screen, and have zero patience for a slow computer. I do occasional CAD, image processing, and games and this is almost perfect for my uses.
Pros:
-touchscreen & flip is nice when you want it and works great as a laptop when you want that.
-battery life is pretty good. Probalbly more lile 10-11hrs of real use but its still works well/fast in power saving mode. No pen but one can be purchased.
-powerful for how compact it is. These lunar lake architecture cpus are quite impressive. Ive run CAD, light image processing, and very casual gaming on it and it is pretty fast despite its energy efficency.
-great looking screen with good resolution. 14" is plenty in size as long as its at least 1080p resolution(this is). Just make the scaling 100% because the default makes things not fit which will make the screen feel small. For a travel laptop i wouldnt want any bigger.
Cons:
-integrated RAM cant be upgraded. This isnt 100% a bad thing because the integrated ram is part of the reason these are so fast. 16gb really is for all but the most extreem laptop uses, but i would not get the 8gb model.
-512 gb hard drive is a little small, but the price to get the version of this laptop with a 1tb doesnt totaly make sense given nvme SSD prices these days (price difference should be like $40-$50, not $100 or more). This part can be upgraded so i will when i outgrow it. The drive is at least a fast one (acording to specs) so i decided not to swap it out with another one I have laying around.

HP OmniBook X Flip delivers a very strong value for a lightweight, everyday laptop with Copilot+ AI features. It combines reliable performance, a nice touch display, and flexible modes into a package that’s ideal for most general users. Minor drawbacks like slight heat under load and color accuracy don’t detract much from its core strengths. Overall, this is a solid choice for students and professionals alike who want a capable, portable 2-in-1 laptop that’s ready for modern workflows straight out of the box.

I purchased the HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 Copilot+ PC (14" 2K Touch-Screen, Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Atmospheric Blue) from Best Buy a few weeks ago, and it's been an absolute game-changer for my daily workflow. I’ve been using my HP laptop for several days , and it’s been performing flawlessly. The speed is impressive — apps load quickly, and multitasking feels smooth even with multiple tabs open. The display is sharp and bright with great color quality, making it perfect for streaming and design work. Battery life easily lasts through a full workday, and the lightweight design makes it super portable. I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend HP to anyone looking for a reliable, high-performing laptop.

I do basic things with my personal laptop: web browsing, tracking finances, using Word, Excel, etc. I also prefer 14" laptops as anything bigger feels too bulky.
I bought this when it was deeply discounted on a back-to-school sale so the price was right. This laptop easily handles all my laptop needs. It's fast enough to handle the tasks that I throw at it. I am pleasantly surprised at how long the battery lasts. I have an HP work laptop and its battery doesn't last nearly as long as this one does. Of course I'm doing much less with this laptop but still the battery life is impressive. I also appreciate the deep color blue of the exterior which makes it stand out from the rest of the boring laptops out there. It's also nice to have USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI ports built right in so I don't have to carry dongles with me. The mouse pad works fine for me as well.
About the screen. On the plus side, it is plenty bright enough. I can use the lowest brightness setting and still see the screen clearly. However, the colors are not as bright as other screens including my HP work laptop. The colors are there but just muted. For the price I paid for the laptop, I'll easily live with this given all the other upsides. I also like that you can write on the screen with a stylus. I bought the "HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen" from the HP web site since it was on sale, and it works great!

I absolutely love this HP laptop!! It has genuinely transformed how I work and stay productive day to day. From the moment I started using it, everything felt fast, smooth, and effortless, even when multitasking between work applications.
The 14” 2K touchscreen is crisp, responsive, and makes long work sessions much easier on the eyes. The 16GB memory and 512GB storage provide more than enough power for work tasks, studying, and personal projects without any lag or slowdown.
I primarily use this laptop for work, productivity, studying, and everyday use, and it handles all of it seamlessly. Boot-up is quick, apps run smoothly, and switching between tasks is effortless. The laptop feels lightweight, modern, and well-built, making it easy to use both at home and on the go.
Battery life has been reliable throughout my workday, and overall this has been one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, high-performance laptop that truly supports productivity.

I’ve been using the HP OmniBook X Flip (14-fm0013dx) for work, notes, and light creative tasks. The headline is portability + ports: it’s light, the 360° hinge is sturdy, and having Thunderbolt 4, a second USB-C, two USB-A, HDMI, and a headphone jack on a thin 14" convertible is fantastic.
Performance from the new Intel Core Ultra 5 is snappy for everyday use—lots of Chrome tabs, Office, streaming, and quick photo edits are no problem. Battery life comfortably gets me through a full day of mixed work. The keyboard feels solid and quiet, and the trackpad is accurate.
The 14" touch screen is bright enough indoors, and the 16:10 1920×1200 resolution gives a bit more vertical space. Just know it’s not an OLED or wide-gamut panel—colors are fine for general use but not ideal for color-critical editing. RAM is 16GB and soldered (not upgradeable), but the NVMe SSD can be swapped later. I also tested it with a Microsoft Surface Pen (MPP)—inking, tilt, and palm rejection work great; Apple Pencil does not work on Windows.
Pros: Lightweight; excellent port selection; fast everyday performance; good battery; reliable pen support (MPP).
Cons: Screen color coverage is basic; RAM not upgradeable; speakers are average.
Bottom line: If you want a flexible 14" 2-in-1 that’s easy to carry, fast for everyday tasks, and unusually generous on ports, this is a strong pick at the price—as long as you don’t need OLED-level color for pro creative work.

I recently started using this HP OmniBook X Flip and it has quickly become my favorite piece of tech. The Atmospheric Blue finish looks amazing in person and the 14 inch 2K touchscreen is incredibly sharp for both work and streaming. On the technical side the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor handles multitasking seamlessly and the 16GB of memory ensures that I never experience lag even with dozens of tabs open. The 2-in-1 design is very sturdy and the hinge feels solid when I flip it into tablet mode for drawing or taking notes. I am also really impressed with the battery life because I can get through a full day of use without needing the charger. It is the perfect Copilot+ PC for anyone who needs a powerful laptop that is still light enough to carry around everywhere.

I was thinking about getting a framework 12, and then this went on sale for really cheap ($530, with $50 in gift cards back), so I bought this. There's a video on Youtube by HP where they replace all the parts that made me feel a bit better about durability here but we'll see how it is over time.
The screen is good enough for me. Speed is really good. When it's unplugged and I'm doing things that aren't really strenuous, it's totally quiet. It does make noise when plugged in (probably from the battery charging). The fan ramping up is somewhat loud, but not wholly unpleasant - it's not high-pitched.
I use the 2 in 1 capability and it's great. Usually I use it in reverse mode, to play ... Balatro.
I really like the color of the shell, it's much more interesting than the normal 'platinum' color of most things. I also like the way the body's set up - it has this weird platform that makes the laptop a little chunkier/heavier, but it feels nice in the hand/on a lap. The only real downside of that is that the screen is much lighter than the base, which leads to some tension if you hold it by just the screen for any length of time (don't do that!).
Works fine with my MPP 1.0 pen.
I like the keyboard, but it's very, very shallow: that's why I say you should try it in store first. You want to make sure you're OK with the reduced travel of these keys. But I like it: I'm going to replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows on it and then use it as my main laptop for the next year or more, depending on what else comes out.
The battery life is not what I'd heard Lunar Lake was, but it's good enough for me - I keep it at the 80% max 'battery saving' mode and I get about an hour per 10%, which means I can hang out with friends for 5 hours doing things on my laptop without really worrying about it [and if I want to really not worry, I can just ... remove that setting in the BIOS and fully charge].

I would recommend this laptop to students, business workers or the creative people like drawing, art stuffs. But be careful if you are looking for color perfect mode, which this one is not for you. And we could do a little bit of gaming. Like I played Roblox and it took some battery life but still functional. I would get like 6 to 7 hours of battery life based on my working scenario because I use it to mostly watch some yt, some Netflix movies or some intensive coding and still gives me the same type of range battery life. This is also one the most good looking PC since others are not modern looking but this thing looks sick and with the atmosphere blue is the color I loced the most and it is pretty cool to see it. And the touchscreen is almost accurate since some clicks take a bit of time to click in the touchscreen but we could use without any trouble. There are some heat when in some gaming like Roblox with high graphics or some graphics intensive Roblox games

I enjoy this computer as it is light and feels much sturdier than a cheaper HP I bought prior to this one. It is compatible with multi screen connection hubs which was a must for me. The battery last a fairly decent amount of time with power save on. The backlit keys are a nice touch as well since I have to work in dimly lit areas. It fits in my backpack and takes up minimal space. Overall, great purchase, especially with the deal price.

This HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 we shared and have enjoyed. The Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and 16GB of RAM keep everything moving fast and smoothly, whether it’s school assignments, videos, research, work, email, or multitasking. There is a bright, very responsive 2K touch screen, and the 2-in-1 flexibility makes it easy for him to operate it in tablet mode, and I prefer it as a basic laptop. We both like that it boots so quickly and that the 512GB SSD loads programs so quickly. Copilot+ features have been surprisingly helpful as well; he’s using them for studies and summaries, and I have used them for short tasks during the day. Battery life is reasonable, but not if both of us use it heavily, so we keep the charger at hand. This laptop, on the whole, has been reliable, simple to share, and sufficient in power for all things school and work related. Great purchase for a family.

Great lap with a great price. Easy to set up and get connected to my home network. Best buy even price matched 10 days after sale, I saved $200. The OmniBook light weight makes it east to travel with and the battery live is good. This replaced a 6 year old laptop from a competitor and I am very happy with the performance.
