    Great Laptop with amazing specs

It’s amazing at how you could get such a great laptop at such a reasonable price, especially considering how ram and ssd prices have shot up in the recent weeks. Unless you’re pushing your laptop with intensive tasks, 32gb of ram is plenty for most people. The 2tb of storage is also a great bonus. The OLED screen is vibrant with deep blacks and great contrast, and the fact that is is touchscreen is cherry on the cake. I also appreciate how the body of the laptop is much sturdier than an older HP that I have, thanks to the aluminum chassis. The flip mode is also pretty cool if you want to use it as a tablet but I find that to be too large to be used that way with its 16’ screen. Overall this is a great laptop, and I’ll update my review based on how is holding up in 6 months or so!

This laptop just had everything I had on my list that I wanted and I got it at a fantastic price for Black Friday door buster. I wanted a laptop with good memory and this one was good with 32GB. Most laptops at this price had at most 24GB. I wanted some storage at least 1Tb and this one had 2TB. I wanted a good processor and this one came with the Intel Ultra 9. I wanted a touchscreen and this one has that. I wanted a good screen resolution and this one is an OLED. Lastly I wanted the flip option for using it in the car and this one is the Flip. It just has everything and you can't find that in a good laptop. I was always seeing them some of the features but missing one I really wanted. This one checks all the boxes!

Bought this for my gamer son for his birthday who already has an overkill desktop. He was beyond excited at the specs on this laptop and the OLED screen. Caught it on sale with $350 off so it was an amazing purchase!

This was excellent laptop with exact specifications I was looking for: 32GB ram, 2TB harddrive, touchscreen, 2-in-1, 500nits, and oled display so beautiful for just $999 right before Black Friday. I have used it a few time and the battery is excellent with almost no noise and little warm. The response is very quick and smooth. The AI is very cool. It automatically adjusts the display at night. It’s a little heavy because it’s 16”. Overall, I really enjoy my new laptop which probably will never run out of storage.

Finally i bought this. This one is an excellent machine. So far I think this could be fine to buy later on i realize there's a great purchase on this Black Friday. I feel good with my new laptop. Value for money. Note: ( You can feel your touchpad and keyboard. New experience added from HP. Also, Touch screen quality is so good I think if someone looking for 2 in 1 Laptop you can consider this. It's quite good. Overall experience is awesome

Honestly, it works great. I use it for multitasking, doing work and playing games. Runs Albion like a monster, a complete upgrade from my previous laptop. Never thought I'd say it, but HP is going in a good direction with this one. Currently hooked up to my gaming set up. Lasts solid hours on intensive gameplay and a full day on regular work tasks.

A Powerful, Robust laptop with a stunning display

This is a gorgeous, well-built, premium laptop that performs extremely well thanks to its high-end configurations and has a stunning OLED display. Omnibook X is HP’s branding for premium Consumer laptops (Elite for business). With everything nearly perfect, I fail to understand why HP chose to skip fingerprint reader (although it has a face unlock) on a premium laptop. More on this later. Build Quality --------------------- The dark grey color gives an elegant look to this laptop and the aluminum build gives a premium feel and better durability. With a high quality hinge, this can be used in 4 modes - laptop, tent, stand and Tab mode. At around 4.15 lbs (1.88 kg) this is lightweight for a 16 inch laptop. It does not feel heavy to carry around and perfectly manageable. Configuration ------------------------ With Intel Core Ultra 9 288 V processor, 32GB RAM and 2 TB SSD, this is a high-end configuration laptop. Performance is fast and smooth even with a lot of apps running. Intel Arc 140V although an entry level graphic card and had no issues playing games like Formula1. This laptop excels in terms of performance. Display ------------------- This is the key highlight of this laptop. The 3K OLED display produces stunning display with amazing clarity. The 16 inch screen size is perfect. And with 500 nits this can go plenty bright. I often use it at 60% indoors. The 120 Hz refresh rate also contributes to the smooth experience. Although I have to mention that the screen is too reflective and I had some inconvenience using it with a window behind me, even with blinds closed. Battery ---------------- Battery easily lasts around 8 hours with continuous use. With the included 65 watt charger, it charges with a decent speed of around 50% in an hour. It went from 20 to 100% in about 2 hours. Keypad -------------- HP went with zero lattice keypad. Although it’s a personal preference, for me it’s really comfortable. The larger size keys helps with minimal mistakes during eyes off typing. The backlit option is super useful making it really comfortable to use in dark. The trackpad is also good to use. Ports ------------ The laptop comes with ample ports (rare of laptops lately) – 2 USB Type-A ports with 10 Gbps speed. 2 USB ports, one of which is a thunderbolt 4 and the other with 10Gbps both of which supports charging. A HDMI 2.1 port and a 3.5mm jack completes the ports. Only qualm is both the USB-C charging ports are on the same side. Although I can understand why, but having them on either sides would have been a great convenience to the users and I believe it’s not much to expect that in a premium segment laptop. Speakers and Webcam ---------------------------------- The laptop has dual speakers with DTS:X spatial sound. It produces decent sound. Although the speakers are placed along the edges, it has a deceiving mesh grills on either side of the keypad. I wish it really had an up-facing speaker underneath the mesh grills which could have elevated the sound. Anyway, with a headphone it’s never a problem. It has a 5 MP webcam and the video is decent. It has a privacy shutter (but without fingerprint, it’s practically useless). The WiFi 6 offers a stable connectivity. Missing Fingerprint Reader -------------------------------------- One thing that I miss the most is the fingerprint reader. Although this has the face unlock, it’s not a substitute for a fingerprint reader. Face unlock doesn’t work in dark conditions making it really inconvenient. Also, for face unlock to work laptop needs to be straight in front at a particular distance. For someone who works on multiple laptops, it becomes extremely inconvenient to move around looking at the camera. Also, unlocking from a standing position is also inconvenient having to bend and look at the camera every time. With face unlock being the only type-free option, it has made the camera privacy shutter almost useless. I had to turn-off the “lock when move away” feature due to the lack of fingerprint. I really hope HP considers this feedback for its future products. Another good addition would have been a HP Pen, which unfortunately is not included. Conclusion ----------------- Overall it’s an excellent laptop. Pre-loaded with Windows 11 Home edition with Co Pilot features (AI) with latest processor, 32GB RAM and 2 TB SSD storage space, especially when bought with a discount, it’s an absolute steal. However, I believe HP could have made it even more appealing without cutting a few corners with fingerprint reader, pen, speakers and charging port placement. In spite of the minor shortcomings, this laptop is worth the buy.

This laptop has been fantastic so far. It is fast, efficient, and has an incredible display. It was a fantastic deal. The battery is efficient, but this is not a laptop for frequent travel, but fits my mostly stationary worskspace needs perfectly.

I work at home and on the road, so I am always seeking great portable machines. I have an HP Omnibook Flip 14 inch which is great on the road. However, sometimes at home I am away from my desk with its bank of large monitors and need something a little larger. This OmniBook 16” monitor fills that need! Amazing how much more screen space with a 16 vs a 14, but it can make a difference. Much easier to flip between windows in different programs without fumbling around. So, that’s my need for this laptop! Now, onto the computer itself. As always, HP rolls out sleek machines that power up effortlessly right out of the box. The laptop was delivered to my house and securely packaged, so no worries there. Set up was a snap using my login and then letting the computer update itself while I continued working on other projects. First, the physical. The keyboard is very nice with ssquare keys with a short throw. The copilot key is on the lower right side. The touch pad is large and easy to use. There are speakers on the ‘bottom’ and on the keyboard side of the laptop. There are no speakers on the screen half. On the right side you will find a USB-A and an audio plug in. On the left side are an HDMI, USB-A, thunderbolt USB-C and USB-C. So, lots to plug in! The charging is by USB-A. On the bottom, they have hard rubber insets to slow down sliding. And the hinges! They are smooth and stay in position when you flip or stand the computer in a tent fashion. Finally, the computer easily attaches to my workstation and all of the peripherals work. Now for the computing parts. Wow. 32GB ram, Core 9 processor, make this machine work fast. The specs claim the battery will last all day, so I tried that out and used the laptop unplugged for a day and a half (did not work constantly). Work included standard office products, streaming video and web surfing. This makes me super excited because it means I can go where there is no electricity and work. This often happens when on the road in conference centers—no more charging the laptop in a plug on a random wall! And with 2TB of SSD storage, I can take my work out of the cloud when on the road so it’s always handy when wifi is sketchy. The screen is fabulous. It really is responsive and vivid, giving you an excellent experience for video playback and video conferencing. The camera is tiny, with a slide privacy screen, but it really delivers when video conferencing. I find it exceeds the ‘studio quality’ separate camera in my office. Now for Copilot… I am fairly new to AI and copilot button makes it easy to start digging in. I was able to create some graphics and advertisements, as well as compile ideas on creating an annual calendar for my ranch to include all maintenance, animal husbandry and financial affairs. I hope to expand into genetic selection and animal output analysis as that has a major impact on my ranch. Overall, I give this computer five stars for performance, style and ease of use. I can strongly recommend this computer to anyone who wants to have plenty of computing power in a trim package.

Looks nice. Big keys. But NO number pad on the side. Co-pilot is nioce. Helpful, but needs some tweaking in upgrades. I keep getting cut off when speaking. Function keys are helpful. Like it that I can flip it and detach the screen. Like the touch screen, but don't find it as needed. Overall I like it,
