First off, I’d like to thank Best Buy and the Tech Insider Network for the opportunity to review the HP OmniStudio. My wife has spent most of the time using it, but we’ve been comparing notes and my experience with it has been pretty much the same as hers. The 23.8" 1080p screen is bright and clear, the wired keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the included wired mouse is super lightweight. I personally love the all-in-one setup because you don’t have a big computer tower taking up extra space. For homework, checking emails, online shopping, browsing the web, streaming, and other basic everyday tasks, I think this is absolutely perfect as a general use home computer. I also really like that the built-in camera has a privacy switch at the top, so you can physically block it when you’re not using it. I do wish the monitor had more adjustment. You can tilt the screen, but you can’t raise or lower it. We normally leave our desktop computers on and power cycle them twice a month, so I was curious about how warm this one would get. So far, it stayed surprisingly cool with generating excessive heat. There are vents all across the back, and even after being on for long periods of time, it doesn’t put out a lot of heat or make much noise. The 128GB of storage is probably the biggest limitation, but I also think it tells you exactly who this computer is for. I could see this being perfect for elementary or middle school kids who need a family computer for homework, older adults who mainly need something for email and basic web searches, or families who do most things on their phones and work laptops but still want a personal computer in the house when they need one. For that type of use, I think the OmniStudio makes a lot of sense. It’s simple, clean, easy to use, and does exactly what a basic home computer needs to do. Would definitely recommend, especially if you go with the 256 GB version. 4.25/5

This should be considered the bottom of the barrel, when it comes to selecting a personal computer. That's not to say that this a bad PC. It's just what you should be looking for, when you are getting someone their first computer setup. This HP "OmniStudio" All-In-One is perfect for a student. Any student. I initially gave this pc a lower score, but after careful consideration, and thinking of who this is made for, I came to the conclusion that this is fully capable, home computing system, that basically comes out of the box, ready to use used. Connect the stand and plug in the keyboard and mouse. Give it some power and blam. There ya go. If you're thinking of possibly gaming on this pc [which, many would consider doing.]. Stop that. Yes, you can connect your capcha' card to the HDMI port and stream off of your gaming console. With the full HD screen, you will get some crisp visuals, while you game. But this isn't a stand-alone gaming rig. The N150 processor will be enough to carry your personal workload. as far as school and homework. Plus, taking care of your family or even business finances. The simple drawbacks or minor, but noticeable. For one, the keyboard & mouse are wired. While this does jeep you connected and helps with latency, it is still unattractive. And it's not like there aren't older models that have the wireless feature. And the fact that this should be considered a community computer, as it's been years since I've come across a Windows PC, with an internal camera and it doesn't have Windows Hello capabilities. What's that all about? But with that being said, coupled with the huge update needed upon the initial setup process, it's still a very capable and affordable computer. Also, I'm glad the privacy shield is available on the camera.

I haven't used an all-in-one style computer like this since I was in school, where those old eMacs were the norm in computer lab class. I didn't have a lot of expectations as a result, and I found myself, for the most part, pleasantly surprised. That said, while I think this is a great computer in many ways, there's a few things about it that just fall a little short of what I'd want from a computer in this day and age, regardless of form factor. Size: The size is fantastic. It's effectively the size of your run-of-the-mill 24" monitor. It's not significantly thicker than what you'd expect from one, it's not significantly heavier, and it doesn't stand out too much. It looks great on my desk, in my opinion, and minimizes cord and cable clutter you can't get from almost any other computer. Ports: There's 4 USB A ports on the back of the computer, a USB C port, as well as ethernet, HDMI (if I had to guess, I'd say it was for input, but I didn't test it), the power jack, and a headphone jack. I've seen worse connectivity on much more expensive computers (looking at you, Apple), and I'd definitely say it's enough for most people to get by. Especially considering the overall capability of the computer, you're not liable to need a lot of ports. Keep in mind, however, that two ports are going to get taken up by your keyboard and mouse by default, so it still feels a touch anemic once you've got those peripherals plugged in. Screen: The screen is an unremarkable 1080p 60Hz matte-finish panel. I'd say it's serviceable, overall - the colors don't pop, but they're not washed out horribly or anything, either. The functional viewing angles of the display are also quite unremarkable. If you get too far above, below, or to the side of the display, visibility drops significantly, but it's still perfectly usable. You can adjust the vertical viewing angle easily with the included stand, which helps usability. Audio: It's nothing breathtaking, but the audio was surprisingly competent. For speakers built into an all-in-one computer, they've got decent volume. The sound is definitely a bit hollow - there's not quite enough bass, and the mids get drowned out a little - but you can listen to things on this if you have no other option, and it will work. Keyboard/mouse: The keyboard and mouse are, frankly, kind of bad. The mouse is made of light, cheap plastic, and it feels like it will break if you click too hard. The keyboard is made of similar plastic, but because there's more hardware inside, it doesn't feel quite as cheap. I can type just fine on it, but it's not the most fluent or comfortable experience I've had with an included keyboard. If you don't have other peripherals, these will certainly work, but they could certainly stand to be better. Performance: Now for the elephant in the room. This computer, for being shipped with Windows 11 especially, is a bit underpowered. Now of course, I limited my testing on this to what I assume the average person would be doing. I watched videos, listened to music, browsed social media, and did some light office work (writing, mainly). It could do all of those tasks just fine. But if I wanted to do just about anything else, it would significantly struggle. The included processor is a lightweight, low-powered processor, designed for light work and browsing, like I did, and it only includes a paltry 8 gigabytes of RAM. If I wanted to do anything remotely taxing, like making music, editing video, most gaming, etc., this computer would chug. In its current state, Windows 11 is a terrible resource hog. A computer like this would have been ideal in a Windows 10 world, but those days are long behind us. I think Linux could function very well on this computer, to make the most of the hardware, but I don't know how the display drivers would work if one were to do that, and I'm not about to find out. Just idling on the desktop with settings, file explorer, and 2 tabs in Librewolf open, ate up 90% of the RAM and set the CPU to 53% usage. This isn't to say that the computer isn't usable, but rather that it won't take much to bring this computer to its upper end limit. Value: I recognize that this computer isn't for any sort of power users. This isn't meant for people who game, or do anything intensive on their computers. It's meant to be a computer that can be used when one is necessary, or to be used by someone who may not be savvy with smartphones. The thing is, for the price, you can probably do better. You can buy a used office desktop off eBay for $100 and have plenty leftover to buy a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and whatever other peripherals one would need to get a good computing experience. And that computer would soundly outperform this one, have more ports, and still end up costing less overall. The footprint of this computer is fantastic, I won't understate that. However, I'm just not certain it's worth the price difference unless you genuinely don't have an inch of extra room on your desk. This computer is fine for what it is, but for the money, you can, and should, do better, if you can.

All in one computers have come a long way. They keep getting thinner and thinner and more powerful by the year. HP really raised the bar on this PC. Setup was super simple. Plug the power in, mouse, and keyboard and fire it up. Windows setup with all the updates took about 1 hour. Screen is decent. Viewing angle is good. No cut off from side angles. Nice that it comes with keyboard and mouse that all match in color. I really like the integrated camera. Overall performance is great. Easy browsing. Speed test hits 500/500 up and down. Web browsing no issues. Word processing and spreadsheet use is ok. Viewing YouTube and high definition 4K HD was good. No lag. WiFi is nice and strong no dead spot. Rear ports have a lot of plug in capabilities. 1 USB c 10 gbe 1 USB a 10 gbe, 2 USB a, 1 HDMI, 1 headphone jack. On board speaker is decent. Unit is quiet. No fan noise. 1 feature I really wished it had was to be able to raise the and lower the monitor for viewing height adjustment. This on only tools up and down. Super simple PC for home or light business use is what this PC is good for.

My first impression of the HP OmniStudio as I unpacked the unit was how beautiful it was. Cashmere White is the color name for the OmniStudio. It shares much of the same design aesthetic as – dare I say? – Apple products. One of my family members actually asked me if it was a Mac. The keyboard is flatter and thinner than a standard keyboard. Smooth chiclet keys that allow your fingers to fly across them. The keyboard has a dedicated key for locking the computer, which I really liked. So, instead of CTRL+ALT+DEL to lock the computer, you hit the Lock Icon on the upper right side of the keyboard to instantly secure the computer. The colors of the images on the monitor are lovely. Set up was a breeze. Where I really see this computer being used as the main hub in a home. I imagine the keyboard taking its place on the corner of the counter or on a dedicated desk or stand in the kitchen. Instead of having printed notes or calendars on the refrigerator or bulletin board, this All-In-One could house the Family Interactive Calendar. Control your household routines. Take a quick check of your emails. Video chat with Grandma or maybe share a Holiday meal with loved ones that could not join you in person. The computer would fit anywhere in the home. The unit is sleek and compact. There is no bulky CPU to worry about. Just a monitor (with the hardware inside, similar to a TV) on a stand. Now, there are a few things that I did not like about the product. The power button is behind the monitor. I would like to see a power button on the keyboard or possibly on the stand. There is an HP logo on the base that could be redesigned to have a touch pad of some kind to wake up the computer, vs. reaching behind it. The monitor is a bit awkward to put on the stand. It’s somewhat heavy, again more like a small TV than a traditional monitor. I found it was a bit laggy for searching the web and playing videos. It could have been my network at the time, but my other devices were not having issues, just the HP. Not a dealbreaker by any means. I think it will stand up to general video chatting, watching YouTube or movies, checking emails, and other standard functions of modern everyday life. It has plenty of inputs on the back for hooking up hubs or other devices. I wish they were accessible on the front or side of the computer, but that would take away from the design. The computer comes with a corded keyboard and a corded mouse. I was surprised by this. It made me feel more like I was going backwards in time. My first computer was a Compaq (later acquired by HP) All-in-One computer with a corded mouse and keyboard – in 1994. In 2026, I don’t understand why I’m still dealing with cords. The computer has Bluetooth. There should be no reason why the peripherals are tethered. It feels like you need to upgrade it right out of the box. Again, I see this as a family communication hub in the middle of a common space, but it will fit in just about anywhere in your house. It has a nice, clean design aesthetic and the quality you expect from HP.

That said, it’s important to know what you’re getting. The N150 isn’t designed for heavy lifting. If you’re planning to edit videos, render 3D models, or crunch massive datasets, this processor will struggle. But for students, office workers, and anyone whose day revolves around documents and communication, it’s more than capable. Memory and Storage: The Expected Budget Trade-Offs The OmniStudio comes with 8GB of RAM, which is perfectly fine for typical multitasking. You can keep multiple browser tabs open, run your office apps, and hop between tasks without the system feeling bogged down. Storage is where the budget nature shows more clearly. The 128GB UFS drive is fast enough, but it fills up quickly once you start adding media files, large projects, or extra software. If you plan to store anything beyond the basics, you’ll want an external drive or cloud storage. It’s a simple fix, but worth planning for so the system doesn’t feel cramped. A Surprisingly Great Display The standout feature of this all-in-one is the 23.8" Full HD display. It’s genuinely impressive - bright, crisp, and colorful. Whether you’re working through long documents, watching videos, or just staring at spreadsheets all day, the screen makes everything look clean and comfortable. Eye strain is noticeably reduced, and the overall viewing experience feels far better than what you’d expect at this price point. HP clearly invested in the display, and it pays off. For many people, the screen alone will justify choosing the OmniStudio over other budget options. Design, Ports, and Included Accessories Visually, the OmniStudio keeps things simple. The white finish looks clean and professional, and the all-in-one design saves a ton of desk space compared to a traditional tower setup. It blends into an office or study area without calling attention to itself. On the back, you get a surprisingly generous selection of ports - USB, HDMI, audio jacks - enough to plug in your usual peripherals without needing extra hubs. HP also includes a keyboard and mouse that are perfectly serviceable, so you can set everything up and get to work right away. Final Verdict: Who Should Buy It? The OmniStudio does exactly what it’s meant to do: provide dependable, affordable computing for everyday tasks. It’s a great fit for administrative work, classrooms, home offices, and anyone who doesn’t need high-end performance. If HP had gone with an Intel Core 3 instead of the N150, it would’ve added some welcome headroom without dramatically increasing the price - but even as-is, the machine delivers solid value. If your needs are modest and mostly office-focused, the OmniStudio is a smart, budget-friendly choice. If you’re aiming for creative work, programming, or gaming, you’ll want to look at HP’s more powerful all-in-one models instead.

If you are looking for an affordable home PC for basic computing needs and don't need all the bells and whistles, this is a terrific option to consider. It's especially perfect for a beginner's first computer, or for a dorm room where storage space is limited. Pros: - I love the space saving design, as the PC components are built into the monitor. This eliminates the need for a tower that would take up space on or below your desk, making this ideal for dorm rooms or bedrooms with limited space. - There is a built in camera with a privacy slider. - The base has a tilt feature allowing you to get the perfect viewing angle. While it doesn't angle left or right, you can turn the whole base as needed as it is very lightweight. - I was pleased with the quality of the included keyboard. Button presses felt good and there is a full number pad. - 8GB of RAM was plenty of memory to keep multiple apps running smoothly at the same time. - This was my first time using UFS (Universal Flash Storage). Most PCs these days use solid state drives instead. I didn't notice any difference in performance as boot up times were excellent and app-launching was snappy. Cons: - The storage is very limited at only 128GB. If you save a lot of photos and videos locally, your storage space will fill up pretty quickly. - The included mouse was lighter than I would like. It's almost completely weightless and I like a little more heft. - Don't expect to do any significant gaming on this PC, as the specs are on the lower end for those purposes. While the specs are not strong, this PC is an excellent choice for folks on a budget that do not need high-end performance or are just looking for a PC that takes up very little space.

I’ve always been intrigued by all-in-one machines. One of the first machines I purchased on my own was an all-in-one and it was great. It was at the beginning of that craze so even though they tried to bill it as a simple way to have a desktop, I still ended up having a lot of separate components and peripherals. Today, the story is quite a bit different. This OmniStudio is slim, and other than a power cable, it doesn’t require much. It has built in WiFi 6, which is more than powerful enough for most people’s needs and even though it comes with a wired keyboard and mouse, you can swap those out for wireless options if you want. The computer also has built-in Bluetooth 5.4 and a generous USB hub on the back of the screen. Given it’s form factor, I think it has the capability to be very versatile for many different uses. It can be good for students, general home use (email, web browsing, etc.) and in some cases, it can handle general productivity tasks. The thing to know with this unit is that it is not a designed for photo editing, video editing, or gaming. I did run some benchmark tests on it that I thought would help paint a full picture of what it is useful for. Geekbench 6: This test measures overall performance of a system. It runs a series of workloads that simulate different tasks like web browsing, document processing, photo manipulation, and other everyday computing tasks. The test results I got were Single-Core 1,182 and Multi-Core 3,076. These numbers are in line with what you would expect from the processor included on the OmniStudio. The scores also indicate that the computer is good for email, Microsoft Office, web browsing, streaming videos, video calls, and basic school work tasks. The scores also confirm that it’s not ideal for photo editing, video editing, large spreadsheets, or running multiple demanding applications simultaneously. CrystalDiskMark: This test measures a system’s storage performance. The sequential read speeds were 1,089 MB/s while the write speeds were around 746 MB/s. The random read speed was around 190 MB/s and the random write speed was approximately 22-32 MB/s. This is decent for a budget all-in-one machine like the OmniStudio. The read speeds are much faster than traditional hard drives and should allow Windows and applications to open reasonably quickly. The weaker random write performance is typical of lower-cost storage solutions and may become noticeable when installing large applications, performing updates, or moving lots of small files. Some limitations a user might encounter are large file transfers, heavy application workloads, or maintaining lots of locally stored files. Cinebench: This test actually locked up. It ran most of the test and then when it came to ‘finishing the render’, the test froze. It didn’t lock up the computer, but I did have to force quit Cinebench. Because Cinebench measures CPU performance by rendering a complex 3D scene, it is designed to push processors under a heavy workload. Therefore, a lockup would suggest that this system is definitely not designed for sustained heavy CPU workloads. After running the benchmark tests, I also made note of some real-world system tasks. Startup: I took approximately 22 seconds for the system to full boot up from being shut down. While this timing isn’t as fast as higher-end PCs, it’s an acceptable startup time for a basic system like the OmniStudio. Initial Background Processes: After getting it set up for the first time, I checked to see how many processes were running in task manager. There were 208 tasks running. This is important to note because even though this isn’t unusual, with this system only having 8GB of RAM, there isn’t much room for multitasking of applications. Everyday Performance Test: To see how much memory and CPU usage the system uses with typical tasks, I opened a web browser and then opened several tabs. One of the windows in the browser was playing YouTube video at 1080P playback. The CPU usage was between 11-18%, but the memory use was 6.6GB or 86%. This means that while the processor can handle multitasking well, the memory usage is the bigger limitation. Normally, this would be the point where adding more RAM could improve the experience, but the memory in this configuration is not upgradeable. Storage Capacity: This is another area of concern. It comes with 128GB of storage, but after Windows, HP applications (there are 11), and system files, less than half of that storage remains available. Typically, this would still be fine for document storage, but not photos or videos. You could add an external storage device or rely on cloud services for additional storage. Webcam: The computer comes with a built-in 1080P webcam with a shutter that you can close with a switch for privacy. It seems functional enough, but the picture quality using the included Camera app seemed grainy even though the room I was using wasn’t dim. WiFi: I did a speed test and found that it the computer was getting excellent speeds. We have a 1GB fiber connection to our house and a WiFi 7 wireless router. The OmniStudio was getting 500+ MB/s download and 430+ MB/s upload, which is more than enough for streaming 4K video, cloud storage, online classes, and general browsing. WiFi is not a limitation on this system. Keyboard and Mouse: I mentioned this briefly, but the system does come with a keyboard and mouse. They aren’t much to write home about, but they seemed to work well with the computer. I would probably upgrade to wireless peripherals, but if you don’t have that option, they should work fine for standard tasks. Screen: The 1080p screen looks great. I didn’t have any issue with the color, brightness, or text clarity. It’s very easy to read on and work with. Overall, this isn’t a bad system, but it could do with some cleanup/optimization to run smoother and to make the most of it. It is solid for basic work though. And at the price it’s being offered, I think it can work well for the right user.

Laptops and tablets have been the norm and kind of the stereotype of productivity for school and work for a while now, in my mind at least, so its easy to forget desktop computers are a thing. I was excited to try out the HP OmniStudio all-in-one, a computer built into the 23” Full HD monitor, thinking that it would be a good space saving option for both standard usage as well as “powerful computing” as mentioned when I searched for what an OmniStudio was. Unfortunately what arrived is a space saving internet browsing station rather than an affordable and space saving creative outlet device. Out of the box the computer arrived as a base, a mounting stand, and the monitor as well as a basic mouse and keyboard. The power cable seems sufficient to reach most common placements to the wall outlet or power strip and setup is intuitive and easy but you do get a setup guide which is pretty standard. It's a good size monitor and new out of the box with no finger prints or dust, the webcam built into the top of the monitor has an extended slide to obscure the camera when not in use. All of the peripheral ports are along the back of the monitor/PC and you get a headphone jack, an HDMI port, an ethernet port, and the power port on the left side (if you were looking at the monitor using it) and on the opposite side of the monitor along the back are the four USB-A ports and a USB-C port. The screen is beautiful, setup took minutes and then I spent the next three hours downloading updates and made me setup a Microsoft email on my phone before I could actually reach my desktop to use the computer. Once I got into the computer I checked Can I Run It to see how the integrated graphics on the board would handle some of the games I like to play. It doesn’t. Unless you’re playing something basic like Minecraft vanilla, not the new ray trace version, this is not a computer you will play games on. What about creative programs like Photoshop? Kind of, there’s the minimum amount of RAM and the hard drive is usable for just over 60GB (128GB Universal Flash Storage drive, like what they use in phones and tablets, not an SSD or m2 like computers usually have and half of the drive is used by Windows) but the N150 Intel chip, according to Google. I was able to get free alternatives like Affinity to work smooth enough to do some light photo editing or concept art sketching but the bottom line on this PC is that its simply not a Studio anything, let alone Omni (definition: all or everywhere)...OmniStudio is just a marketing name for the computers HP is putting out and this one is the bare bones minimum version with not enough hard drive to be very useful, just enough RAM to run most things, and a chip that will work with Co-Pilot and some of the mid-tier creative outlets with a slight decrease in power. Its a good space saving PC if you need that these days but if you expect you’ll be doing anything productive outside web browsing or office programs with spreadsheets or work processing then move past this to something much better suited. There’s nothing WRONG with the OmniStudio but there’s nothing here to brag about either, it just kind of exists.

I’m really impressed with this HP OmniStudio All-in-One. The 23.8-inch Full HD display looks great, and the clean all-in-one design saves a lot of space on my desk. It’s quiet, easy to set up, and works smoothly for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, schoolwork, and video calls. The webcam and speakers are a nice bonus, and the overall design looks modern and premium. Great computer for home and daily use!

Purchased this for my 73 year old mother. She just wanted something g to browse the internet and play her card games so it was perfect. Love the all in one and it came with a free version of Microsoft Office for a year. It’s a great buy if you’re looking for a simple computer. She loves it.

I have bought this a few weeks ago & I love it! Not sluggish at all like I thought it would be since it’s a basic computer. Glad I bought this. Will buy one for my granddaughter for School.

This computer is nice! Has all the feature needed all in one. I opted to change the mouse and keyboard. My keyboard the 8 stuck on and the mouse was too clicky. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase

I needed a basic desktop PC for my elderly mother. This was something that she could use to do basic internet tasks.

I like that it is easy to use and the screen is big so I can see everything really well. I haven't tried out all the features yet but I am working on it.

I had my doubts about an All in One Computer...but after using this product I absolutely love how this product looks and operates!!!!

It was easy to install and functioned well when powering up. The only issue is that it could have had more disc storage.
