Was looking for a good laptop with speed. This was a great purchase. Computer is plenty fast and I enjoy it. The i7 is nice.

Replaced 7 yr old HP laptop that was running Vista. New machine is quieter and faster, but I haven't found any extra value in Windows 8.1 for my computer use. Modern age of all product docs and applications online just runs up the cost of my phone company internet data plan. Too early to comment on reliability and quality of the new HP.

I kept procrastinating about updating my computer, not sure why. My sales person helped me pick the right computer for my needs and select additional services that helped me transition from my old one. My new computer is faster and has great features that I did not know I needed( but I did)! The geek Squad set up my computer and transferred my data. It was a quick and convenient way to get up and running. I am so happy with my new computer and the service that Best Buy provided.

faster processor and light weight a great combination

Windows 8 is awful; nothing to do with the machine I know. Downsides are the mouse and keyboard. Easy enough to resolve with externals. Same with the lack of bluetooth. What is this, a decade ago? Bluetooth should be in every machine. Again, easy enough to resolve with external dongle. Aside from that, the Core I7 works nicely.

I have worked on desktop computers for a long time. When I looked at laptops I could not ever see myself working on one. I am trying to semi-retire and needed portability so I could work from home or the office. So far I am loving this computer and everything is falling into place. I have a mouse for it since I find the touch pad difficult for me and it works great also.

I like that this computer does not have the touch screen feature. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a product without it...but I did! I also wanted a larger screen and greater processing speed, but without the newfangled additions. I'm perfectly happy because I got what I wanted! Thank you Best Buy!

The computer is fine. Not really thrilled with Windows 8.1 or the messy screen...but that's not HP's fault. We just do basic computer stuff...no video or music streaming or anything. So it's fine for us.

This is my first HP laptop purchase, as I've always bought Dell in the past. Overall quality of the HP computer seems to be on par with my expectations. The display is far better than any that I've owned in the past, and even though I don't use it much for music the sound from the tiny speakers is better than I expected. The processor and memory combination allows multitasking without considerable drop in process speed. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Does everything I need it to do. Set up was breeze and was up and running in just minutes. Personally I like the windows 8.1, just play wit it a bit and you will get used to it. Only thing is battery life could be a little better but I would not let that persuade you. All and all for the price it is a great laptop.

Bought it because it has Beats Audio + DVD Drive. With best processor and 6gb RAM you are good with this Laptop for at least 5 years if you maintain it well.

I heard bad things about HP before hand, but I went from Toshiba to HP. I don't regret it at all. The Beats by Dre system is amazing. Windows 8 was good, although there were a LOT of updates. I have upgraded to Windows 10 now though. Processor is fast. Start up is quick. I love it.

This is a great all around laptop. Sturdy Good memory and processor for a decent price.

This is a really fast computer. We already downloaded windows 10 and it's working great. No problems of any kind. It came with free 6 months antivirus which represents at least a 40.00 savings. It comes with the HP app that can be downloaded to your phone to check reviews, videos, etc In all; great value!

Picked this up due to power to cost ratio. HP gets good reviews, and the keyboard felt comfortable to type on. Since purchasing we have had no issues. Wifi works solid throughtout the house, and picture looks good when streaming. Overall very pleased.

I like the portability and speed of this product. Plenty of hard drive space. Getting used to 8.1. Have changed security programs. Some things are not totally user friendly, but getting used to them. Nice bright screen and keyboard fits my hand size.

This laptop is great. I can tell the difference between i7 processor and other models. The deeps audio is nice and deep, but it could be a little louder. I'm actually typing this review while on this laptop!

Was in the market for a newer computer to take care of day to day business and schooling. I am very satisfied with this product and its specs/abilities. I only wish there was a scrolling bar area on the touchpad in order to easily scroll down a page versus using the keyboard arrows or screen scroll bar. This is something I was used to on my last laptop.

My old computer broke and in desperation I bought a Mac. However I took it back because it just wasn't what I was use too. I bought this HP which was much more affordable and way easier to use.
