I bought this computer as a graduation gift for my daughter. Word Of Life Bible Institute, where she will be attending, had sent us a list of requirements for a laptop and this one exceeded those requirements. My daughter says that it is easy to use!

Daughter is using the other laptop a lot and was going out of town for a few weeks and needed one to take with her. We picked up this one due to specs and that it still had a built-in cd/dvd rom drive so we could install her games from it. Has an i7 processor but still seems a bit slow at times so not sure if that is due to only 6 gb RAM which I thought would have been plenty. I did get the recent Windows 10 update and didn't have any problems installing it, although that took about an hour. Not used to W8.1 or W10 but so far, W10 looks like it will be a bit easier to use than W8.1.

After spending a great deal of time online shopping for a replacement laptop for my son's Dell Studio, I came across this HP. It had the right features, right OS, and, the best price around. Setting it up was easy. My son and my wallet are happy.

This is my 3rd HP laptop in past two years. I purchased this laptop for my wife and she loves it. I'm not crazy about speed and processor but I found 5th gen i7 in unexpected price. This laptop stays very cool, silent and work fast. No complains!!

I really love the size of this laptop not to small and not to big for reading, gaming, or doing research. I like the bigger size of the screen not having to resize everything to see it.

Purchased this laptop for my wife to replace an older laptop. This HP laptop is fast and has all the features she needs. If if much quicker than her old laptop and given it's I7 core it was a great laptop at a great weekend special price.

I had always had a desktop but when my last one died, I decided to move to a laptop. This has everything I need, and it wasn't too difficult to learn Windows 8. So far, it has done everything I've needed without any problems. Love it!

I was happy to find a laptop that doesn't have a touchscreen. Not so thrilled it has WIndows 8.1, but will live with that for now. easy to use.

Looked at more expensive laptops and surface type PCs. This one fit the bill very nicely. runs FAST and easy setup. Did not need a touch screen (more to break in my humble opinion) and this replaced a desktop and older laptop

So far, this has been a good computer. No issues at all. I am using it for online school and it has worked perfectly for this purpose so far.

I like this laptop. Works really well. It's a bit challenging getting used to Windows 8.1 as I was using Windows 7 for a very long time.

I primarily use this computer for school, and I love how light weight and simple it is to use.

Computer is of good quality and the only thing is that the color seems not sharp as compared to my other PC. It is fast and easy to use.

Good price but extreamly difficult to upgrade. Very light.

Great laptop - HP Pavillion 15.6, lightweight, doesn't get real hot. Wish cord was a little longer though. Windows 8 looks cool but not really my cup of tea. I'm old school so really glad it had a dvd drive.

Each day, I game, I draw, I use it for social media and personal emails, and this laptop does it all, and does it all very well.

The i7 core processor and 6gb of ram really helps a lot when running gaming programs.

I bought this laptop about three months ago at a best buy store near my house because I wanted it fast. I say, for the price, it's a pretty good deal. I have to warn you though, if you're expecting a high end, quality built laptop,this isnt for you . But if you're looking for something just to do basic stuff like surf the web, or type papers for school, then this will serve you well. THE GOOD: -The Audio: This laptop comes with Beats Audio, front facing speakers, and they are NICE and Loud and . I find myself not having to even turn them up half way to get a full sound. Best speakers I've used on a laptop to date! - i7 chip. The Intel 7 chip is the fastest out at the time of this review, and because of that, most computers that have it are quite expensive, so finding one for under 600 bucks is a great deal. The computer is fast in most regards, booting up, opening apps and webpages, downloads and uploads are all pretty snappy, like I said, I only have been using it for a week, it could slow down as time goes on, but for now, it's great. -Screen/resolution. The screen is fantastic, I must say. It's a little over 15 inches which I think is nice, anything over that makes not only the screen bigger, but the keyboard too (in order to accommodate closing it) and that can make the laptop a bit large. Going smaller, and I find watching media on it not quite as pleasant. 15 in is the perfect size to me. And the resolution is very nice. -Lightweight. The laptop is very lightweight (not as much as an ultrabook though) and you won't mind carrying it around all day. THE BAD: -Kinda cheap feeling. The computer is made from plastic and you can tell. It doesn't have the premium feel that some more high end PCs or Macbooks have. I found myself pressing down on the parts surrounding the keyboard and I could hear creaking from where it was attached to the bottom side. So, if you're taking this bad boy out, I would put it in a carrying case to avoid dropping it, cause it might not be too durable. -Heating. I notice that the fan on this thing seems to be constantly running to keep the computer cool, this could be due to it still using a hard drive while many other computers opt out of this and use Flash Memory. The fan isn't too loud as to be distracting, but it's something that could get worse overtime as the computer ages. -The Keyboard. This is a nitpick, but the keys are as solid and heavy feeling as other laptops Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase, and I do recommend it, you probably won't find a laptop with specs like this for the price. But, be warned, if you're looking for something more premium built, then you may have to empty your wallet a bit more and get something else.

What a deal for an i7- no complaints yet... and she's grateful she can do her computer programming classes without it being super slow as it was on the 4yr old laptop she was previously using that died.
