I searched for this laptop online because all the models in the store were touchscreen. from all the laptops with dedicated graphics this one was in the sweet spot of performance and price ratio. the CPU is AMD and the gpu is Radeon. if i had opted for intel/nvidia the price would have been around 300$ more expensive. for laptop expectations this huge difference in price is definitely not worth the price gouge for me atleast. the screen is 1080p and i havent been able go find a dynamic screen resolution option to render higher fidelity but as it turns out it isnt needed. the laptop feels quiet sturdy vs. toshiba laptops in the same price range. The only complaint i can think of is the screen doesnt open up more than 95 degrees, so if you are someone tall that towers above their laptop this problem would present itself as a serious issue, luckily i am avg height so it doesnt bother me. overall im satisfied so far and crossing my finger no unexpected defects present themselves like the way toshiba products are made. the price on the laptop was great.

I love the HP Pavillion. I also have a pavilion pc that I really like. Easy to use and the setup was quick and easy. I really wish I could get windows 7, do not care much for windows 10.

This was a great laptop, however It didn't quite have the speed or graphic power to handle the programs I use. I ended up trading it in for a desktop that would handle the programs.

I ordered this notebook because it specifically says it has an IPS display. This is crucial for photo editing because of the large viewing angle and the consistency of the contrast, color, brightness, etc. over the wide viewing angle. As soon as the laptop powered on, I knew it was not IPS. If it is IPS, it is the worst, unusable IPS I have ever seen. I immediately powered it off and requested a return for refund. Best Buy customer service was courteous and processed the return authorization. I'm just waiting for UPS to pick it up. My recommendation is that Best Buy modify the listing to show that it is not IPS.
