The setup is very easy. For the size, the PC is light. The sound is excellent compared to laptop speakers I've had on four laptops by different makers. I would have given five stars but the touchpad is too sensitive.

This is a great laptop for the price, nice big screen, easy to carry. More than expected.

The laptop was a good price. The only thing I mostly dislike about it is the new technology of the mouse. I like the old type with the left and right click buttons along with the mouse. I didn't get to see the computer first before purchase because there was not a display computer and BestBuy price matched a computer from OfficeDepot. Which I did get a little better computer for a cheaper price.

This is a great laptop for the price. The screen is HUGE, the graphics are great and there is a ton of memory. I highly recommend this laptop.

I upgrade to this laptop 14 months ago. It has plenty of memory and speed for my usage, facebook, cpu games, mail etc. I dont feel the need to go any larger at the moment and cant see any reason to. The only drawbacks i see are the weight and i could use 1 more usb port, The HDMI port is great though. All in all, a good CPU'

This is a very nice laptop from HP offered up as a great value. The price made me think I was ordering something cheap that would meet my needs but be the bare mininum standards. Once I fired it up, I realized how good of a deal I recieved. I have told friends about this deal and suggested they consider a purchase.

This laptop is a huge improvement from my previous laptop that was 9 years old. I am THRILLED with the size of this laptop, the clarity, the ability for laptop to keep itself cool, and the number keypad on the side of the keyboard. There are a few things that I take issue with, but they're not necessarily a deal breaker: 1) the mouse is very sensitive. Even after adjusting, it's still tricky and we find ourselves clicking on things we didn't want to click on 2) Depending on what website I am at, typing can be very difficult. For example, I was just trying to compose an email in one of my accounts, and there was an issue with delay, words not showing up, and me having to wait for the computer to recognize I was ready to type. I do not know if this is an issue with just certain sites as it doesn't happen all the time, or could it be that the computer was still "warming up" as I just turned it on from being shut down? And I am within inches of the wireless modem! **Someone mentioned this in a review I read, too** Overall this is a great laptop and I would recommend it to a friend!

This is my second HP Pavilion, I upgraded because the old laptop couldn't keep up with my internet speed. I'm not into gaming nor am I a geek in any way; I was looking for a basic, reliable computer. I wanted a computer with at least a 17 inch screen, one that is easily portable, and easy to set up. That's exactly what I got in my new HP, and more. It's actually easier to use, thinner and quieter than my old model.

This system fit my needs, just basic computing and surfing. I did not like pad, so I added a mouse. The display is clear and I have no complaints. For the price, it is a decent system and size. I would recommend this product for basic computing and surfing.

This is a decent computer for normal things like surfing the web or watching movies. Screen is nice and big. Not sure how well it would take heavy gaming. Bought this for my mom and she is very happy with the performance and the screen size.

I love this new laptop. I previously had an HP Pavilion from 2010. I liked the large screen on the previous laptop but this is much better, especially for people who have trouble seeing up close! It has Windows 10 which is a little bit of a learning curve from Windows 7 but once you learn how to navigate it is wonderful! Can enlarge the screen with 2 fingers!!

My only issue is finger pad isn't as sensitive as I would like. the left and right click is not very discernible. Great computer, nice graphics and does everything I need it to do.

My eyes are getting worse as I age and so I needed something a little bigger than the standard 14 or 15 inch laptops. This unit is not very heavy and so far it is working well. It was a good price compared to other models with i5 processors and the 8GB of ram was more than other units.

This is a great computer for day to day usage. Works great for music and movies also. I have not tried running any games on it yet, but I did not buy it for that purpose.

Purchased this laptop as gift and it is loved. I was told that it's big and it starts pretty fast. Only suggestion is the keyboard a bit different than other pcs.

Purchased a brand new HP Pavilion, 17" screen, i5 processor. It's been a terrific find. Fast, efficient, easy to use, even with the pre-loaded Windows 10. Also has a disc drive so you can listen to your music CD's, or watch DVD's. Would recommend this laptop to anyone.

Great laptop I enjoy the convenience of carrying a light weight PC in my hand graphics are overall great I would recommend this to a beginner

Great laptop with lots of features for the money. The 17.3 in screen is awesome and has great clarity, and the i-5 processor run the laptop fast enough for all applications I need. I would recommend this laptop, big bang for the bucks.
