The computer I'd been using at home for the past eight years was on its last leg, so I bought this computer to replace it. I'm happy with how my new system is running, but the chicklet keyboard that comes with it is appropriate for someone who types with only one finger. My cousin got hold of a compatible standard keyboard for me and I'm now back to typing at my former speed. The tower and monitor are surprisingly lightweight and were easy for me to carry home. HP is a reputable brand and I'm confident that it will provide me with many years of service. I do miss the ease of Windows 7 and Office 2003 and it's going to take awhile to get used to Windows 8.1 and Office 2013. Also, I hate the fact that my beloved Dell printer is not compatible with it, so I bought an HP printer earlier this week and it works fine. I'm relieved to have some modern technology to work with, but I hope it will last me for at least the next ten years!

We love our new PC. The processing speed and storage are unbelievable. And you just can't beat the price! We are extremely happy with this purchase from Best Buy!

computer came with windows 8 installed. Microsoft office outlook 365, windows 8, and Verizon are not compatible .

Good computer for the money. Great amount of memory at 8gigs, and a 2 Terabyte Hard Drive is more than ample for photo and music storage. Plus the advantage of coming with wireless. Only con is that it cannot be upgraded with a secondary hard drive. But for a starter machine, it is a great value.

Love the slightly smaller size for the contents needed. Good price value for the processing speed and the data capacity. Still need time to play to figure out some of the features of Windows 8.1 though. Everything was easy to set up.

I've had this for a few months and not had any problems. I spend hours at my desk every day and need a desktop, not a laptop. I reluctantly bought this because MS dropped support for XP. From a hardware perspective, this computer works fine. My biggest adjustment was Windows 8.1 although I've tweaked to the point that it's acceptable. It takes less space than the old Dell tower it replaced with more disk space, memory, etc. inside. I'd be more enthusiastic if my old XP machine did not do everything I need a computer to do. When I worked as an independent software consultant, I spent much more on equipment because I needed it and could justify it. Now retired and freelance writing as a second career, this lower priced option works just fine. I was never one for computer games.

I would recommend this computer for all home office . The storage and speed is also good.

Desktop was easy to set up on my business network, Still getting use to Windows 8

Its not right that I have to purchase a program that I do not want. Computer is great. The conversion of my files, pictures and programs from my old computer with Windows 7 to my new computer with Windows 8 was a mess. I had to get my sons to help find things. I purchased office 2014, and it would not load. We had to get help for this. Not happy that a customer must purchase something he does not want and then spend time learning how to use it.

cost effective - fast - easy to plug and play - easy to configure

My old computer finally bit the dust, so it was time for another. I'm not what you would call a heavy user, so this computer was perfect for me. It's plenty fast enough for me to do what I need to do, and didn't break the bank.

I actually got a new PC, not a refurbished one. The speed compared to my old Windows XP is great and the sounds are smooth. The boot-up is quick. The shut-down is quick. The memory size is huge compared to my old (Compaq Presario) one (2TBytes). Overall, any problems are not due to the pc (ie- slow internet, learning new OS, etc...). I would recommend this as a strong personal pc for home/home office use.

We bought this computer because our other one was constantly kicking us off of Elder Scrolls Online and the graphics sucked. This computer was a little more than we were willing to spend but I am glad we spent the extra money. The graphics are spectacular and we are able to play the game for long periods of time without having to log back in or getting removed from the server. The only thing that I wish was different about this computer is that it didn't have Windows 8.

This is great computer for a good price. This computer has good speed and performance. It comes with a 2 TB hard drive to store all of your files, and has 8 GB of RAM to speed up jobs.

Dose what I wanted a computer to do. All I wanted was a computer that would run Arma 2, dayz mod, and rust. Now you can't run it on high settings but it runs fine on normal. All around good computer.

I needed to upgrade my work computer for a basic word processor and internet browser, and this model did the trick. I have used it for a month now and like the speed and convenience.

I purchased this system for my wife after her old system of 6 years had died (it was also an HP system). Her needs are simple, a computer that will allow her to do web research, run MS 2013 office suite and execute a tax software package. So far this computer has performed as expected. Setup was easy, the transition to Windows 8.1 (from Windows 7)was seamless. Overall a very good value if your needs are simple.

This product is great for Home use. It isn't the most power driven computer but if you are looking for something that is easy and efficient this is the one for you.

Wow. I was so satisfied with this purchase. Consumer Reports got it right again. Has a memory card reader for digital photo, fast web surfing and word processing ability, Windows 8 already installed and the price sealed the deal. I can not ask for anything more. Must buy speakers separately (no big deal).

I have had an HP computer for YEARS and have never been disappointed. So far this one has met my expectations.
