Good bang for the buck. quick to boot and graphics are pretty good too. My PC nerd friends say I paid 50 bucks more at B.B. than new egg, so what. went and picked it up right away after on-line purchase. Came with mouse and key board which was nice too.

Windows 8.1 was designed by and for people who dislike using computers. The entire system totally crashed and had to be reinstalled after less than 2 days out of the box. Why Windows 7 is not available for in store purchases is a poor business decision IMO, and I would have been my much preferred choice had I been given that option. My old system (HP Pavillion w/Vista-6+ years old) crashed,and I needed a computer ASAP for work purposes,or I would have waited.

I am not very computer savvy and was easy to set up. Used an external hard drive to move all my pics, movies and docs over. Using old lcd monitor also. Keyboard seems a little cheap compared to the one i was using from my 2006 HP. This Cpu seems very fast. Would be better if priced a little lower or thew in Office to go with it. I like the windows 8.1 that it came with. Easy to use. Startup and restarting is very fast. Came with a free month of Mcaffee. Mcaffee is also discounted if you purchase for a year.

had a problem with uninstalling a software (2010 Office not recommend) afterwards in window updates, it was still trying to update a software that i had uninstalled..call HP there tech. got into my computer to fix the problem.. inmmediately they request that i return my computer so they call repair it. sent the shipping box..I haven't sent it yet.. after reseting my updates a few times, not letting it update (Auto) it just stop.. I have up to a year to follow-up with HP.. oh Yeah I installed Office 2013 working fine..

The model I got was exact to what I wanted. It gets online and I can do whatever I want.

Unfortunately, this PC came with a corrupted hard drive right out of the box. Best Buy had to pay for a Geek Squad staff in home visit a couple of days after purchase. He got the problem repaired and since then it seems to work as expected. However, It is slower than I expected. No problems since the fix but I was and I am still not happy about purchasing a computer with a problem. It was not the fault of Best Buy.

I used my last HP Pavilion system for about seven years and only replaced it due to virus problems and XP support being dropped by Microsoft. I now have this new Pavilion along with a W2071d monitor and an HP Envy 4500 All-In-One printer so I basically replace the old system with the equivalent new system. That should tell you something about how well I liked the previous HP system. I'm rating the Pavilion as "excellent" in view of the good reliability of the old system and similar expectations of the new one, plus I did search around a lot on the web and at Best Buy and didn't see anything I liked better. I purchased the whole set-up for under $1,000 which is a bit less that I paid 7 years ago. However, the old Pavilion did have a sliding cover which protected the ports and jacks from dust; this one doesn't. I can tell you that after having the old system for around 7 years that it did get dusty around there. Hopefully HP knows what they're doing and if I clean this machine every month like I intend to dust won't be a problem. We'll see. I do like the sleek, shiny, black appearance of this setup (PC, printer and monitor). I bought it for functionality and reliability, but it doesn't hurt to have it look nice, too. It motivates me to keep my desk uncluttered so that I can enjoy the appearance of the equipment. If you've heard horror stories about Windows 8, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I took a 3-hour course on Windows 8.1 and got to feel fairly comfortable with it before I bought the machine. I also hired a professional to set it up for me for $80. He set it up so that it looks a lot like the desktop on Windows XP. I can get around the internet and email and use Word and Excel just about like I always did so life is good.

i bought this as a work computer for my wife. had alot of memory, windows 8, plenty of hard drive space, and for the price, it was a great purchase

runs great, quite , meets my needs, will play my games. windows 8.1 works fine still getting use to it

Performance improved greatly after McAfee was removed. Very happy with it now. Good value for price. Windows 8 is not ideal but I thought it would be a good idea to have the latest operating system as long as I was getting a new computer.

This computer is use for my home needs and it is meeting those needs. The transfer from my older computer to the new one has gone smoothly.

this Random only memory stick was easy to install and synched with my computer with out any trouble.

Computer runs great. I am still learning Windows 8. Extremely disappointed that it does not come with a word processing program.

I haven't had the time to really sit down and utilize all the features of this computer. It's just good to have the speed and performance that I have noticed. Not sure about the 8.1 Windows yet...takes time getting used to. It is so different than what I have been accustomed to...so different than any of the other versions! Looking forward to really sitting down and utilizing all the features.
