Second one works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this during cyber monday. The first one did not work. Printing was terrible, colors basically wouldn't print. Everything was skewed. Second one works great, no complaints with it thus far. Wireless is extremely handy and print quality is great.

Great printer for home or student
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have one at home and one at college. It is a great workhorse doing anything required of printing for home personal and office, as well as what college student needs: including color pictures, art work through photoshop and printing on different mediums like Mylar, decorative ink jet printer sticker paper and card stock.

Good printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. It does its job, could be slightly faster and use less ink but overall I'm happy with it. I got it at a great price so it's been definitely worth the price. I also enjoy being able to print from my phone and other devices at home. The pictures are pretty good as well.

I love the printer, I use it for documents and pic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy my printer. It is quiet, speedy and best of all - no ugly wires hanging down behind my desk. I can print from almost any where in the house. My documents, spreadsheets and graphs look very nice. And, I am very pleased with the photographs I print. Overall, I would say this product is good value for the money.

Blacks print as gray & uses too much ink
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I read how this printer uses lots of ink so I purchased XL sized refills along with the printer as the printer was on holiday sale. For the low cost of printer, you'd think it was worth keeping even though it used lots of ink, but this is just a literal drain on resources. I printed 58 pages of which most were either B&W docs or printer cleaning cycles. I also printed about 10-12 4x6 photos. I first noticed the black quality was poor when I had a a photo (using HP advanced photo paper) which had a black and dark gray background curtain in it. See attached photo for example. The photo had no distinctions between the shadows and the color was terrible as it was darker gray around the edges of the photo and more muddy around the middle. So I thought the paper might be at fault, but it was a new pack opened no more than a week prior. Then I found the printer would not remain in borderless mode and needed changed for each new photo, and when printing borderless, it would still leave a white border on 2 sides of the photo, so I thought it was an alignment issue, but when I tried to align it it never achieved this. The top block of the diagnostic printout was always off a little bit and then I noticed an unprinted streak through the blocks at about 1/2 inch intervals so I tried running cleaning cycles and did so about 5 or 6 times before the starter ink ran out. There was plenty of black left but all the separate colors ran out simultaneously. Remember, I only printed 58 pages in total. This is a cheap printer with marginal performance in color photo printing, esp. the black colors and does not even come close to the printer from HP that I was replacing, a Photosmart 8250. That printer produced beautiful photos but I had two of those fail when left unused for a few months and then colors cross contaminated from some fault in the print head. I will be trying to repair one of those as this HP 6520 printer is totally unsatisfactory as a replacement for photo printing. It may work fine for ordinary paper printing but still uses way too much ink! I do not recommend it.

Good user interface, easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer has one of the easiest user interface of any that I researched. Bought it for family members who are not tech-savy. That being said, we spent considerable time on the phone with Best Buy, HP, and our ISP in order to configure the printer and wireless router. The printer kept disconnecting after 60 minutes. Finally found a combination of settings which work and has been reliable for over a year now. HP Photosmart 6520 does a fair job printing vibrant colors, but does not produce deep, rich blacks. Perhaps you need a more advanced HP printer such as the 7520 which has a separate Photo Black ink cartridge for photographs Also, it is a little tricky to add paper to the letter size paper tray before it is completely empty, without causing a paper jam. Once you learn how to extract the partially loaded sheet from the top of the paper stack, it is fine.

Great printer/scanner/copier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to setup. Very user friendly. The wireless function works perfectly. I had an older version of this printer for about four years and took a chance with this one and I have no regrets. It's far better than my old one, which worked well as well.

Good but not quite as good as previous HP printers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a pretty good printer overall, but I've had a lot more problems with paper getting jammed inside than I've had with previous HP printers. Tried everything I can think of to solve the problem but nothing helps. Other than that print quality is good.

Simple installation. Fast printing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent low cost printer for home or low volume small business use. Good print quality and moderate ink usage. Both print and scan functions integrate well with host laptops on wireless network. Copy function is easy to use with touch screen menu. Only complaint is that to load paper you have to remove the top of the paper tray and open a door. Not a big issue, but you have to make sure you reinstall the tray top correctly. It snaps into place so there is not much guesswork involved. I would recommend it.

Pretty good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: I never thought I would care about a wireless printer but it is nice to have 1 less cord and it was easy to set up with the nice touch screen. The touch screen is good and intuitive but also has many features that I may never use, some will find them handy. Although I don't print much I noticed the printing was good. Cons: I bought it mainly for scanning in old photos but the scanning software is not so great or intuitive and when compared side by side with my old Epson they weren't as good.

Decent printer for a good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this during black Friday to replace an older printer. Easy to setup, but very flimsy. Works well, but not sure how long before I have problems. Beautiful pics but glad I bought the geek squad warranty.

All-round printer with a lot of hi-tech.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up easy, but the sign-on procedures to required websites to get the printer up and running is time-consuming. Speed and quality is satisfactory. Photo printing has an excellent quality. This printer has only a SD memory card slot for your stored photos. A simple USB connection for a multi-memory card reader would greater enhance this printer. Scanner function is somewhat noisy compared to my old Lexmark printer. The wireless function operates with two computers flawlessly. :-)

Very good wireless printer for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought a new computer, and decided I needed a new printer. I was pointed to this model, and was rather impressed with the features. I had the Geek Squad transfer the data from my old computer onto the new one, and they installed the printer software at that time. The printer also works with myiPhone with the downloaded app. I particularly like the wireless functionality of the printer, where I can print out from wherever in the house I am through my home wi-fi network. I can even print photos on 4 x 6 glossy photo stock from anywhere. For example, I can snap a photo while down at Summerfest, click on the app, send the photo via e-mail to the printer, and have a printed photo waiting for me when I get home. The cost of the printer is also reasonable, as is the printer quality. This printer also will print two-sided copies automatically. The other night, I was checking e-mails on my phone and found a coupon in one of them I wanted to print out. I clicked to print and listened in the other room as the e-mail was printed out.

Very good HP printer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Photosmart 6520 is a great printer. I bought it to replace my 6510 that suddenly stopped printing in black. The printer is a wireless network printer which makes printing easy from anywhere in the house. It is also ePrint capable, so you can print from anywhere that you have a connection to the internet, or you can have someone send something to your printer. This printer also features a free account for eFax so that you can send and receive faxes without being connected to a landline. I like the double-sided printing feature to save on paper. The touchscreen makes navigation easy. It's a well designed printer. I hope it lasts longer than the 6510 that I really liked but, quit.

OK....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a older model of this printer and I liked it much better. The paper tray on this one is hard to get into and does not hold much paper. I also do like the way the tab pulls out that holds the copy's. I got this one because it took the same ink as my old one and I had just bought ink, wish I would of taken my loss on the ink and got a different model. Plus side, makes nice copy's and picture turn out well.

i like it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i like the printer. i like the features, size, low noise, speed, black friday price. i looked around for a few weeks comparing models. decided on this one and have been very happy. only drawback is going thru ink quickly. i've had it less than 2 months and have only printed 25 xmas cards and just a handful of b/w docs. already says low ink. my friend has a 6500 with the same issue so i guess it's just the cartridge size on these models.

Great printer for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great wireless printer for the money. set it up in basement due to lack of space on living floors. No issues sending wireless documents from anywhere in the house. The large touch screen makes custom photo and copies easy. Print quality is very good. Been a while since I purchased a printer and was completely blown away when we printed first photos out. Definitely recommend....
