I purchased this computer for my mother and she LOVES it. As long as she's happy, I'm happy :-) Nevertheless, we ALL love HP because we've been using them for years :-)

I purchased this unit as a replacement for an older e-machines Vista model that was no longer supported. I dreaded the thought of setting up a new computer , transferring all of the needed files, and learning to use a new piece of equipment. Have no worries-setting up this machine and getting it up to speed was one of the easiest PC jobs I have ever done. Learning the basics of Windows 10 took longer than setting up this HP. Granted it is not top of the line but it is more than adequate for daily use, searching the internet, doing e-mails, and personal computing. It is fast, has enough memory , both in the hard drive and RAM, to handle all of the programs I had installed on the old machine and the wireless feature worked well, however it was a little slower than the hardwire connection so I switched back to the hardwire to my WIFI. It is solid, compact, and has a smaller footprint than most desktops. After a month of use I am highly satisfied.

    Inexpensive Path to Windows 10

Needed to replace a five year old eMachine with Windows Vista that had gotten way too slow. Didn't want to spend a fortune but wanted to have a desktop to do heavy lifting such as database management, spreadsheet, and documents that aren't easily performed with a Chromebook that doesn't have a hard drive. Easy to set up, was able to load an ***old*** version of Microsoft Office without having to buy a new copy. Added a generic monitor and am good to go for another five years (I hope) for under $400.

I like this desktop very much. I bought it for its size and looks. I don't like to see big machines on my studio. So, I upgraded my desktop with this one, good price, good size, nice look, great performance. It's fast and it has what I wanted enough memory ram, enough USB inputs, a CD burner, cd \video player. I'm satisfied with this product. Yes, I would recommend it.

Have quite a few computers, this works just fine. Windows 10 is better than 8. To much trouble to find/use/download seven all the time. Was hesitant but find it easy to use now.

The computer was easy to set up. I really haven't had any problems with it. The only thing I don't like so far is that I would like more USB ports in the front. I had four in the front on my last tower, and that was convenient. Now I have an extender hanging in the back where my permanent USB inputs are, so I have the two in the front open for the everyday switch-outs.

If you're looking for a computer for your home to do the basics like internet, pictures, play music, do homework, etc., this HP provides plenty of RAM and hard drive space. Windows 10 is a really good operating system that combines all we loved from 7 with the few good things about 8. It runs fairly fast, smooth, and without much headache.

Bought this PC for my Mom for Christmas. She needed a new computer for surfing the Internet, online banking/shopping, email & Facebook. Out of the box it was easy to set up, took up little space and it took under 30 minutes before she was online. She has had no problems & the only complaint she told me about is that sometimes when she types too fast, the screen freezes until it catches up. But she said it's no big deal & the computer starts up, loads pages & shuts down with no problems. The only thing I would advise is if you are looking for a PC for downloads, playing high graphic games, stream movies, etc. you probably want to get something with a faster processer. But for everyday tasks, this is the perfect machine!

At this price ($250), I wasn't expecting a Rolls Royce. But this cute little computer has performed far better than I had anticipated. It flawlessly handles my 4 to 5 hours of daily computing. I was leery of going from Windows 7 to 10, but this machine has made it almost seamless. Great purchase for, and by, me.

Bought for a senior who only wants to use it for email and light web surfing. I set the computer up which went quickly out of the box. Would like to have had two more USB ports on the rear of the unit. Have to use the front two which now has cables sticking out the front. The computer fits the need of the user.

I bought this for my stepdad who is hard on computers & this has been perfect. It doesn't take up much room on his desk(it's an old desk so there isn't under space) and has the right size memory for all his pages he leaves open, we are working on getting him to close them :) It updated to Windows 10 nicely too.

If your looking for a basic desktop to do everyday tasks like bills, emails, pics and videos, etc. at a good price then this HP desktop is perfect. It was just what I was looking for. Easy to set up and easy to use. It can do way more than that if you need it to and it is upgradeable. You can't beat it for the price and the performance is flawless. It has an energy saving program installed to reduce power consumption and will disconnect from the internet off and on while using it however, those settings can be changed to remain on all the time for a constant power and internet connection with no interruption.

Bought this as an upgrade from an XP machine. Have Windows 7 machines also. Getting used to Windows 10 takes some effort, but we are making it. Should work fine for what we will use it for (email, web access, word processor).

I needed a basic computer capable of handling the usual types of office tasks - word processing, spreadsheet etc with enough power to do simple image handling. I upgraded the memory to the maximum allowable (8 GB). Windows 10 was pre-loaded and once I got the hang of some of the oddities compared with XP it is fine. It meets my needs.

I bought this computer as a replacement for one that was 7 years old with Windows XP OS. It was slow and no longer compatible with anything. So far it is much faster and with a 500G hard drive I have plenty of storage for everything I used.

About a month ago my desk top computer died. I'd had it for several years and my kids needed something that they could do school work on. I thought about a laptop but quickly decided against it for several reason. I didn't want to spend a crazy amount of money on something for my kids to just write reports, look up things and generally mess around with. I've always had pretty good luck with HP's and have owned several since i bought my first in 95. this works really well and I haven't run into any problems with it.
