Excellent All Around Laptop for Work or Play A+

I owned the original HP Spectre X360 and the only thing it was lacking was the sound volume was too low. This 2nd gen has fixed that with the addition of the new Bank & Olufsen system. I am not sure if it is just software or an actual hardware boost but it is loudest speaker system out now. (love it). The keyboard is the best of any laptop out (including my MacBook Pro 2015 model). The trackpad has also been fixed with the touch sensitivity and is smooth as glass. the battery will get you at least 10-12 hours and is the longest there is for a Windows PC right now (at least with the 1080p screen). The build quality is 2nd none, with the beautiful chrome body and polished edges, it gets a lot of attention. The screen is beautiful even with the 1080p version and the touchscreen works as it should. Front camera is average as on all laptops. This laptop has 3 USB 3.0 ports and a full size SD Card slot so is perfect for business use. It also has a full size HDMI and a mini display port for any of your needs. The 2-in-1 style is great for entertainment; watch movies in tent mode while cooking, flip screen over and have keyboard away from you for touchscreen gaming etc.. If you are looking for the perfect laptop / 2-in1 for around $1,000 this is the best. The only competition I see is the Surface Book but that starts at $1,499 and you have to spend $1,899 if you want the dedicated GPU. You cannot buy the newest HP Spectre X360 in the store yet (ordered mine at BestBuy.com) but it is everything you could want right now and I highly recommend it. I hope my review was helpful and give it a thumbs up if you liked it please.

Great Computer but Poor Battery Performance

Been searching for a new ultrabook to replace a Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus I had purchased at Best Buy in 2013. Although a bit heavier than its Dell and Samsung equivalents, it has an excellent, responsive keyboard and touch pad. Props as well for a great display. I really loved it out of the box. BUT....this is the 2nd unit I'll be returning for the same issue - poor battery performance. Let me say that I don't buy the "10 to 12 hours" hype that is thrown out there for units with a new Gen 6 processor under the most optimum of conditions. I run an internet company and I'm online 7-10 hours a day so I live in the real world and don't expect much from such over-hyped claims But under 6 hours for the new Gen 6 processor is unacceptable. To wit: 70% brightness, one browser window open....first unit got around 5:25 and the second 5:45. No DVDs playing, no gaming, no 19 pages open at once.....and this was after the BIOS was updated as well as all other system components. Go online and do a search for this issue and you will find similar complaints. Found no fix online and none when calling the manufacturer. By comparison, the 3-year-old Samsung gets 6 hours during mixed use with ease. Maybe I just got a unit built on a Monday....twice....but twice as enough for me. If battery life isn't your main focus, this is a GREAT computer. If you want to work on cross-country flights, attend long presentations or be on the go most of the day without worrying about recharging, my advice would be to think twice.

I spent a very long time looking for the perfect laptop. This one met all my needs and at an excellent price! It's fast, lightweight, and looks sharp! Battery life is so much better than my children's other model laptops. Highly recommend!

It's a good computer. At first wasn't sure about touching the screen then I started to and it becomes intuitive. Good job.

Super fast and very sleek design. I love being able to use it in tablet mode. I have a bit of trouble at times when the heel of my hand hits the touchpad while I'm typing which causes mistakes. Also, I was prompted to do several BIOS updates when I first got the computer which made me nervous as to the quality of the product. But, after going through the recommended steps, the computer is now working fine.

Pros: Lightning fast (Hard boot to sign in in less than 10 seconds), SSD, plenty of USB ports, great display, Bluetooth, and wireless AC. The design of the shell makes it look like art. And the packaging/presentation is VERY well done! Cons: The power button is on the side and flush with the shell. This makes it difficult to turn on for large fingers. (It does keep the machine from accidental powering up and makes for a sleeker look.)

Clean and sleek, user friendly, great touch screen, and super light to travel with! It also had a lot less free trial / advertisement nonsense on it that often comes with new computers. This one did not have any of that. I'm absolutely loving it so far.

I bought this laptop for $999. Everything about it is great and as you would expect from the specifications. I reduced one star on the rating because I felt that the time it takes to boot or to come out of sleep mode is not as fast as I expected.

Lightweight, SSD, 8GB RAM and a touchscreen is a great package of features for the 699 price this was on sale for. Not quite as lightweight as some competitors, and only an i5 rather than i7 processor, but you'll pay more for those. For me this hit the price-feature sweet spot.

Fast, lightweight and easy to use. I love the backlite keyboard, it makes it very easy to type in low light. Screen size is perfect for watching movies and other tasks. The only thing I have found that I don't like is when using chrome browser, mouse is sometimes completely unresponsive. But have not had that issue using edge. Overall I highly recommend.

I purchased this laptop not more than 30 days ago and it's already having problems. I get an error everyday saying that the graphic card failed to function properly and the mic doesn't work when I'm on a conference call. I'm considering returning this.

It's more solid and overall a better machine than my previous Samsung Series 5 Ultra. Unfortunately, it still has it's problems like any others. The problems I've encountered so far are the video display crashing (fixed in a Windows update), battery time remaining is always "Calculating" (intentional but not desirable change in a BIOS update), yellow screen tint in the corners (common to these displays in all machines), and the time and data change randomly (common on Windows 10 laptops). Also, the trackpad isn't ideal since I like to leave my thumb on the left mouse button (previous machine had distinctly separate buttons). I end up zooming in and out sometimes. This may seem like a negative review but really I would buy this again out of the currently available options. It's just unfortunate what you get for your money these days.

I bought this laptop because of all the features it has including pen input with additional pen. And of course being a beautifully crafted product made me desire it even more. My first one had sleep problems and the internal clock keeps going nuts. My second one had Windows update problems. I think two bad laptops in a row convinced me that I should look at a different laptop all together. It might just be my bad luck but I couldn't recommend this to anyone.

I bought this computer to replace an HP elitebook that I had from my employer. Setup was quick and easy and I've had no issues. The only thing I find annoying is that my typing is very fast and when I type double letters quickly the keyboard can't keep up with me (it seems to think the doublestrike is an eror and types only one letter) and adjustiung the typing speed settings hasn't helped. Other than that, I love this computer. A lot of reviewers bash HP's laptops, but I've had at least half a dozen different models over the past ten years at work (my company upgrades every couple of years) and I've never had a problem
