Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the Spectre x360's lightweight design, impressive battery life, and strong performance, particularly praising the speed of its solid-state drive. Many appreciate its compact size and the convenience of the touchscreen. While some users mention that the device can get warm during intensive use and that the fan can be noticeable at times, the positive feedback on its portability and elegant design outweighs these concerns for most buyers.

Got this laptop for school, it is amazing! Versatile to use as a laptop and super fast. Not bing into downloads and gaming but it does have the capacity. Definitely recommend it

I still have my 2014 15" MacBook Pro but I have a feeling it is going to be used a lot less since picking up this beautiful and fantastic machine. I was motivated to grab this after a decade with Macs for a few reasons: I'm mad Apple didn't do much with their latest revision and continue to charge an inflated price without much differentiation of product. I wanted to see how much the sticks have been moved with Windows 10 and I wanted something lighter and more transportable than my MBP and more functional than my iPad. I am the quintessential Apple fanboy and I love this machine. First of all the looks are drop dead gorgeous and why I looked at HP versus a lot of competitors. I just couldn't bring myself to get the ugly plastic many of the competitors are offering. The build quality is outstanding and every the bit the equal of Apple. This machine is fast, very fast. Boot times are quick, you can open Chrome tabs galore and not get slowed down and it handled Photoshop with no issues at all. I even threw some 3D gaming at it and it performed admirably. No, it's not a serious gaming laptop but it can do it. I went with this latest model as I liked the upgrades and HP showing some wisdom Apple refuses to show in putting two Thunderbolt 3 ports on there AND a USB port. Outstanding idea. The build hasn't been compromised in any way with it. If you're not a fan of the latest Apple shallow keyboards you will love this one. While I prefer my 2014 15" MBP's keyboard (a bit too much resistance on the HP keyboard) it's better than the new ones. If you are worried about the touchpad, worry not, once tweaked it's fantastic. It's the best PC trackpad I've ever used and right up there with Apple. Where Apple shows its superiority is in macOS' easy and helpful ways to configure their trackpads. I had to go digging to find the controls to set up mine the way I would like with a Synaptic driver looks straight out of Windows XP, very ugly. Was my first "oh....Windows" moment. However, once tweaked it's within striking distance of an Apple trackpad. I got a convertible not because I wanted one but because it looked like one of the best ultrabooks out there. The convertible nature is just a bonus. I didn't go looking to use these modes but quickly found myself using them and taking advantage of the smaller 13" screen that I was hoping for when going away from Apple. Finally, the screen is gorgeous. No, it's not 4k or QHD but an HD screen is perfect for a 13" laptop, I notice no issues at all. Windows and Windows developers have gotten a lot better at supporting the higher resolution screens. Not quite to Apple's level but getting there (support when Apple made the switch was slow as well). Also, it has an awesome webcam and one of the coolest new Windows features, Hello Windows. I LOVE IT, works fantastically and lets me unlock my machine without a password, nicely done HP and Microsoft. If you're a bit unhappy with Apple and want to see what's out there like I did, you need look no further than this machine. It's fast, it's beautiful, it gets the job done. I'm extremely pleased and would recommend it to anyone.

Overall the laptop was everything I was looking for in a laptop.I was looking for something light enough to carry around while having decent specs. The price for what you get is unbelievable. In the end it was down to this or the Lenovo 910. The Lenovo had DDR4 and a 4k screen, but in reality the difference between the DDR3 and DDR4 would negligible and the 4k screen while nice would be a battery killer and the screen is way to small to enjoy. 1080p is more than enough for this size laptop. The other deal breaker was that the Lenovo didn't have thunderbolt, pretty odd considering it is on most newer flagship laptops. Overall i like the design and features. The only problem I have noticed is that it loses battery when it is shut down and unplugged. This looks to be an issue with the BIOS, but seems HP is going to deliver an update soon to address it.

purchased an open box HP Spectre 360 (i7, 16gb, 512gb) for a relatively good price (400 off retail). Gave me a sense of a good buy, so far the laptop has not disappointed me. Sales person in the BB store (Maple Grove, MN) made the sale very easy... went thru the effort to get the additional discount to make the price in my price range. Nice Christmas present to myself. Thanks.

I bought this machine mostly for the larger SSD. I use it mostly for online stuff and for scanning and storing family records. It's the perfect laptop, literally. It's fast, quick to start up and shut down. Good performance. The only downside is that the case is a very soft brushed aluminum that scratches easily. I bought a vinyl case cover that takes care of that.

This laptop is a great hybrid of portablility and power. Are there faster, more powerful models? Yes. Are there slimmer, more portable units? Yes. This one finds the best way to merge these two criteria into a quick, lightweight package that has what I need 90% of the time and what it lacks, I can supplement with accessories via the quick USB C and 3.0 ports.

I really like the build quality of the computer. I only have two small dislikes, one being that there is a small battery drain issue even when the computer is completely turned off. I've charged my computer to 100% and the next day when I turned it on it was already at 96-97% charge. the next small issue I've had is not being able to match the advertise battery life I've gotten a solid 5 hours of use with Microsoft word and edge browser running. The screen resolution is great for the 13.3 inch screen I really like the fact that it can go into tablet mode. Even if I use it as a typical laptop more. Since I use the laptop to type up school lab reports, the keyboard is amazing for long periods of typing. the spectre 360x is a light enough to carry in a backpack and forget your carrying it. One cool feature is that it has ur typical USB connection and two Thunderbolt 3 connections so its future proof on that end.

I bought this instead of the new MacBook Pro and made the switch to Windows. It is very nice, almost the quality of an Apple product, is very thin and light. Very fast. I am generally very happy with it. It once had trouble turning on, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

bought it for 3 weeks...so far so good except for once the screen kept flashing for a few hours (almost needed to call HP for service but the issue stopped after I updated a driver). otherwise, it's a good laptop....light, normal keyboard, easy to carry around.

I bought this computer to replace the gaming laptop I bought 5 years ago. I didn't really do my research when I bought that computer 5 years ago and I have had issues with it constantly since I bought it. It had a dedicated graphics card, a lot of memory and an i7, but it just was not responsive for some strange reason no matter what I tried to change/configure. I finally got fed up with it and decided to replace it. I am not a huge gamer, but I do occasionally play Hearthstone and a few other games. My "gaming" laptop could barely handle Hearthstone on low with huge lag spikes. Some other games played fine though. I bought the Spectre knowing that it did not have dedicated graphics and it is not intended as a gaming rig, but it was in my budget and still has very impressive specs (512 gb ssd with 16 gb memory is very hard to find at this price point). I spent a lot of time researching and finally decided to buy this one. It was $150 off in my local store's weekly ad, so I went to pick one up. I could not be happier with it. I installed Hearthstone and didn't even have to adjust the graphics settings. It runs perfectly with absolutely no visible lag, so this machine has already beaten my old gaming computer. I also installed Visual Studio and compiled one of my C++ projects and it didn't even need to turn the fan on. My old computer struggled to even open Visual Studio let alone compile a large C++ project. I was forced to do all of my dev on a Macbook Pro which wasn't ideal since I had to use Xcode. Now I can work on my side projects the way I want and occasionally play a game or two. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone. However, here are my perceived downsides: I wasn't used to working on a 13.3" screen, so it'll take some getting used to and I need an adapter to connect it to my HDMI monitor. There is only one regular USB port and two Type C ports (I haven't invested in any Type C peripherals yet). It came pre-installed with Mcafee ant-virus which I highly recommend you immediately uninstall and replace with something better (I like eset Nod32). The computer will run hot when you've got it doing a lot (Civ VI is a good way to heat it up although the game runs smoothly) although it has two (very quiet) fans and good ventilation. Also the fact that it is made of metal will have an impact on how warm it feels to the touch. I'm not worried about the health of the computer though since the heat on the outside of the case is a good indication that the heat is being successfully redirected from the CPU and other components. If you're not a heavy gamer, buy this computer. It can do absolutely everything.

After a hard drive failure on an old laptop I decided that it was time to upgrade to current technology. Decided to go compact and powerful with the spectre. Very pleased with the result. Whether used with supplemental external monitor on my desktop or standalone wandering around, I have been very pleased with the performance of this laptop.

    The Best Value Convertible Ultrabook

The HP Spectre x360 13.3" with Kaby Lake is not doubt the best value for an ultrabook today, with the 16GB RAM and 512GB PCIE SSD configuration coming in at several hundred dollars below the Dell XPS 13 with similar specs. The FHD display is much improved from the older model, especially the feel of the touchscreen (which is GREAT). The keyboard, speakers and trackpad are also much improved. The only issue for me was some early quality control issues - I had a key scratched and a loose touchpad. Make sure you get a perfect unit before you decide to keep the HP Spectre x360.

For what I do on it a bit overpriced. For some things I like what I view on a laptop and saving things to a disc. Own an IPad and iPhone. Find touch screens not as sensitive as good old arrow. Played with this touch screen when I first bought this. Rarely use it now. Just like my keyboard. You will also have to purchase office and DVD reader writer if you do any work on these. It does boot up very quick. Very glitchy and hangs up a lot. That may be windows 10, this is the first time I have used 10 so not sure. You just need to decide what your getting this for. It Has 1 old USB type A and 2 new USB type C. Is Wireless and Bluetooth with headphone jack.

I use this laptop for photography. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop daily, and this computer handles it no problem. The screen's a bit small for photo editing, but I connect it to a separate monitor. I tether my camera to the computer and love the small size and flexibility for use in location.
