I'm a follower of HP computers, although I must admit it's really important to totally wipe the thing out and reset it up at least once a year. My only negative comment about this laptop is the keyboard it's so terribly smooth and I'm a writer and I prefer a little more pronounced buttons, that's just simply my opinion doesn't make it right for everybody else! Otherwise, I love love love it and yes I would buy another one if I lost this one

    Spectre of Disappointment

I read about this and did my research. I read little things here and there. The same for other products. Problem is that other products can still connect to the Internet without wifi. The Spectre gets all its updates via Internet. If you follow the suggestions during the setup, you automatically approve all the updates that Windows has even ones that have yet to be debugged by HP. In my case, as many others, the wifi adapter gets corrupted and prevents you from being able to connect to the Internet. This wouldn't be that much of a hassle if the customer service didn't take 2 hours to figure out and then finally tell you that they are going to send you the media to reinstall the software for the drivers and all miscellaneous that is required for the PC. I'm pretty tech savvy and would just download the software on the HP website if necessary. Not available I've been told. Unfortunately, I have to wait for the software to be shipped. Anyways, it's a beautiful laptop. The two days that it did function were marvelous. Thanks HP for a beautiful concept but work out the bugs please.

I hate long reviews so here it is. This little PC kicks a@@. It's fast, looks great, and is hands down the best PC / Laptop i've owned in 10 years. Couldn't be happier. The end.

If you are looking for a very portable, easy to carry laptop and a smaller screen size is okay with you. This is the machine to get. For the purpose of going where i go and ease of carry was more important than screen real estate, for me. I choose this machine and I love it. It also looks very sharp and classy. As for it being a good fast computer, it delivers. You will be happy.

Pros-great size, light weight, fast, looks very cool, love the tablet function/touchscreen. Great battery life. Cons-touchpad is quirky and hard to get used to. Doesn't always recognize a double tap, would prefer dedicated tabs on the bottom for right and left click, and leave the screen sizing adjust to the touchscreen. Kind of pricey. Miss-CD drive and keypad, but sacrificed for size. Overall, happy with the purchase.

This laptop has everything you ever wanted. First of all, it's also a tablet, the connection to low signal wifi hotspots is awesome. The screen is beautiful, the processor is incredibly fast, and it just won't ever say no to you. I even play games that I would normally play on my desktop and still get around 40fps. The SSD capacity is just enough. There is no disappointment with this laptop especially if you buy it from best buy.

The Spectre is a beautifully designed laptop, er, tablet... There is supposed to be a matching mouse available soon. OK. Looks aside, this thing is a powerhouse. The model that I bought has an i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB solid state drive. There is no delay between clicking an icon and application launch, and the machine starts in a matter of seconds. This machine is actually being used as a workstation to develop Windows applications, a frustrating experience with a lesser machine. It's hard to come up with anything negative to say. One thing I would say to any purchaser, though, is that as soon as your machine is out of the box and running, first go to HP via their built-in Support Assistance. Get all available updates installed. Then go to Windows Update and get all available updates for Windows 10 installed as well. The 1511 build of Windows 10 is much more stable than the initial release. Any issues that you have with the Spectre will be because of Windows 10, not the computer, itself... Update - update - update, then enjoy!

My initial decision was between the Spectre x360, the Dell xps13, and the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro. After "test-driving" all of the computers, I decided on the HP because of the feel of it. Let's get real: specs are specs. It all comes down to aesthetics. The HP has a nice a snappy keypad, and the touchpad feels good. In my opinion, the Yoga's touchpad was a little sticky in texture, I didn't like the lack of smoothness. And, the Dell doesn't quite keep up with either of them in terms of its touchpad and its keyboard - the keys seem too shallow, and the touchpad has a multitude of negative reviews. Overall, this little machine is the best of the three in the price range. :) Two downsides: 1) the first laptop I received was a bit of a dud out of the box - continuously disconnected from wifi. I exchanged it for a different one (btw, Best Buy was great about the exchange - no questions asked), and haven't had any problems with the new one. 2) I've recently (within the past 2 days) been having an issue with the backspace key. I'm not sure where that problem is coming from - if it is the website (I am a college prof and use an online learning site), or if it is the computer... In my opinion, neither of these complaints warrant less than 5 stars.

This is by far the best laptop I have owned. I use a laptop everyday and all day. I went from a 15.6 laptop to this 13" and I don't miss the 15.6 screen at all. The fact that this laptop is smaller and much lighter makes it so much more convenient to carry around. The battery life is great and I have used it for several hour long presentations with no problem. I purchased the Geek Squad certified open box buy saving abut $300 and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Its a great looking and lightweight computer... (I bought the rose gold special edition).. I also went for the upgraded 500T SSHD.. It is a great computer for doing regular web browsing and other "low impact" functions.. I had such an issue with a Video Driver Blue Screen error that after a week on the phone troubleshooting it with HP they told me to mail it back for repair... end of story was Best Buy did the right thing and bailed me out and allowed me to swap the computer for a different model... THANK GOD... But again, if your going to go on Facebook and do "light work" then this could be for you... Anything Adobe-wise, don't bother..

They advertise a B&O sound system but it's really "tinny". I've heard others that are quite a bit better. I LOVE the solid state drive and i7 processor. A 15-sec boot is awesome. Construction is high quality.
