I have had this for about a month and it is the best laptop so far that I owned. Screen is very clear and bright and performance is excellent. The keyboard has very good feedback. Just wish it had either a separate power input or another thunderbolt port, I would certainly buy this again!

    ....it broke two weeks in

I ordered this computer with excitement about all of its features and waited patiently to be able to use a stylus again, as well as have a powerful machine for my programming tasks and other processor and memory heavy jobs. This sounded like the perfect fit. It was heavily discounted and I felt just blessed to buy it for only about $1050. Lo and behold, I open up the box when it was delivered, only to discover that the touch screen was not working AT ALL. A lot of panic and several BIOS updates and whatnot, I get it to work ONLY RANDOMLY. Every time I’d open up the computer throughout the first few days, I’d hope and pray the touch screen worked, so that I could get in as much work as possible before it stopped again. I never knew what my luck would be. I decided to wait on having it fixed in a HP service because I had to travel for more than three months over the summer and didn’t know when I’d get it back. That turned out to be a big mistake. Because as soon as I landed overseas in Europe, after using it for about a whole day (this is sarcasm, I used it for about 5-7 hours), the entire SCREEN stopped working. This is two and a half weeks after my purchase. I’ve been in correspondence with HP to somehow use the warranty to get it fixed, but it’s definitely a hardware issue, and I’m stuck overseas for business with no computer. All due to my blind trust to HP (even after my previous Envy x360’s motherboard unexpectedly fried a week after its warranty expired.....). Never again. I hope to have this issue resolved soon, but do not order HP products online, and definitely do not buy them without trying them out first. I’m a low-income student who was forced into buying a new computer, and cashing out $1500 (with warranties, taxes, etc.) for something that’d only serve me two weeks and months of trouble was the biggest mistake of my life. This machine is beautiful and powerful WHILE it works, and IF it works.

The looks of this computer are stunning, however on the 1080p version it's alot to be desired. The screen is dull and not very bright I think HP missed on this version or maybe they want you to spend the extra hundred to get the 4k version which is exactly what I did.

Sleek and fast. Stylish and proud. This laptop does and has it all. Unbelievable power under the hood. never a hesitation. Makes work a breeze and me the envy of my coworkers. Love the midnight blue color also. So cool compared to black and silver. Very happy to have this laptop.

Went in to replace my daughter's Surface, and left with this HP Spectre. It has been a GREAT product. Always happy with HP, and this is no disappointment. Folks at BB Annapolis, always fantastic, helped me steer my child from the Apple to this super bang-for-the-buck option.

Decent features I liked: • Touch screen • comes with a pen • Tablet features • Window features Features I didn't like: • Becomes somewhat slow on certain websites (e.g. Google docs) • The trackpad isn't easy to utilize

    Stick to the FHD version

UHD is nice, especially for a lot of screen real estate and an external monitor. The Spectre is supposed to have amazing battery life and be all but silent, etc. None of this is true on the 4k model. The fan runs full speed almost all the time and the battery life is less than a full work day. It is great at handling the tasks I threw at it, but it's these other aspects that I would recommend the 1080 version instead.

Works fine. Sometimes finding files is slow, but that might be due to Microsoft 360 sync. Trackpad does not always scroll very smoothly. That may change in the future, HP is suppose to switch to Microsoft Precision trackpad drivers. Overall it is ok.

I picked this up on a flash sale for a killer price. Great specs for the price. The pen it comes with isn’t great but I’m spoiled by the Apple Pen. It tends to run a bit hot even doing simple web browsing, otherwise no complaints at all.

Nice power and speed in a slim form factor. The multiple USB-C ports definitely come in handy. The only downside I found is a lack of graphical power. There are definitely better options if you want to do any type of gaming.

Love this laptop and is my second. It's solid feeling, great ergonomics, and has very little bloatware to get in the way. I did a lot of research and of all the 2:1 4K's, this one I love.
