Getting to know my HP Spectre x360 15. I’m using it for day trading with an additional external monitor. I’m surprised how often I’m using the touch feature and not-included pen. My 72-year-old eyes would prefer a larger screen, but the machine is super light and fast. The biggest negative for me is only one HDMI connection forcing me to connect my external monitor to the wrong side. The touchpad is larger and more sensitive than I’m used to. My Bluetooth mouse is a nice addition to the touch screen and pen. Best Buy's service has been amazing. An on-site HP representative was available to answer my questions, and I received a 20 minute free consultation with the Geek Squad because I'm a rewards member. Sara was fantastic – even sent email to Adam, Operations Manager, describing my great experience.

I haven't had this long, but loving everything about it. Taking a minute to get used to Windows 10 (coming from 7 Pro) and to the touch pad (a little large, no track button I'm finding it easy to accidentally hit it when I don't want to, and difficult to know exactly where the sweet spots are). Love love love the speed of start up and shut down afforded by the SSD. Love the touch screen, but always cleaning it (bit of a neat freak). Have yet to really enjoy the ultra hd display with some great streaming, and have yet to really put the 8th gen I7 through it's paces, but love this machine.

Pros: - 4k IPS Screen looks flawless - 16 GB RAM and 512 SSD more than enough for someone who doesn't edit videos Cons: - Coil whine (only noticeable to some people) - Doesn't include pen

Light weight yet feels and looks very solid. Very well made, sharp design! Nice colors and large / wide touch pad makes it easy to navigate the screen. Nice 4K display and with 16gb ram, 512gb SSD and latest Intel processor generation, it's super fast. Stunned me unzipping a 2gb folder in under 10 seconds - program installations are also very fast. A few $$ more than others with similar specifications but the laptop itself is worth it!

Configuration wise laptop is very good. It little bit heavy. the most irritating part is there is no other USB Port except 1 which is left the side, Right side only Charging and USB Type C available.

I didn't get much time to test it, but my initial impression is very good. The keyboard is is excellent. It is very spacious and the keys give nice feedback. The screen is bright and sharp. If you intend to use it in tablet mode you should know it a bit heavy for a tablet. The sound is one of the best I've heard. It is not the loudest, but it is very crisp and precise. The trackpad is smooth and very big and it is very comfortable to use. The palm rejection is very good, Until now it worked flawlessly. The one thing I'm a bit disappointed of, is the active pen feature. I used Wacom for some time, and in comparison, it is not as good as Wacom.

Great laptop but I would not recommend paying the MSRP for it. It is too overpriced. I got a deal on it over the Black Friday weekend, which made the price more manageable. Pros: --Dedicated Graphics (not the cheep intel chipset) --Fast - SSD makes if boot so quick --Plenty of RAM Cons: --My 1st one had a bad space bar on it. The sides of the bar were unresponsive. Exchanged it and the replacement works great. Just a huge inconvenience trying to find a replacement at a local store. --Price

4K screen is really amazing, but not very useful for daily use. And when you are using 4K resolution, you will feel a little bit slow. Design and touching feeling is really the best.

I looked around and searched for laptops since mine was Dell and 10 years old. I wanted to stay in the 600 range. Not possible. This computer the best buy salesman,I believe was his name was Cameron talked me into it. 1,000 out of my range but worth it. Nothing has let me down and fast as lightning. Love the 4K screen. I'm working towards the bamboo pen just haven't used it yet. No let downs here.

The laptop is incredibly fast. The display is top notch. Battery life is short but it's expected with the 4k display. Comes with a nice laptop sleeve as well.

The HP Spectre x360 with 15.6-in. screen is a great 2-in1 laptop. With 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and 8th gen Core i7 it should be usable for years to come. The 4K screen is beautiful and the case styling looks great. The HDMI Type A port is a nice feature and the two USB C and one USB 3.0 Type A ports provide good expandability and connectivity. I recommend getting one or two USB Type A-to-USB C adapters for backward compatibility with legacy devices.

I purchased this laptop on November 24th and have been using this to run several heavy IDEs including Android studio and R studio ever since. In addition, I also use VMware to run multiple operating systems. So far I have not experienced any lags. Below are the highlights of this laptop. 1. Touch Screen/ Tablet mode - 5/5 2. Face recognition - 5/5 3. Quality of screen and resolution - 5/5 4. Processing Speed - 4/5 5. Keyboard - 5/5 6. Mouse Pad - 4/5 Too wide but you will get used to it 7. Gaming - Didn't try Overall good laptop for school.

Read quite a bit before purchasing this product and I can say that I am 100% satisfied. Great system with lots of power and capability. Took all the upgrades to 512 Disk, 12 memory, Version 8 of intel processor I7. Great speed. System boots up really fast and network connectivity is the best. Do not regret this purchase. Wished I could have got Windows PRO 10 but wanted the INK capability so had to settle for Windows 10. I ordered it online on Thanksgiving and received it 4 days later with expedited shipping. So I haven't had a lot of time to determine its full capabilities or discover any flaws. One thing to point out is that the keyboard does not have a numeric keypad. Since my 15" HP Envy did, I assumed this would too. That was my fault. So I have a Bluetooth keypad on order. (If you decide to get one, note that most of them say "Bluetooth" but only work with the supplied receiver which would tie up the one USB 3.0 port. There are some though that will work directly with the built-in Bluetooth.) Having SSD instead of a hard drive obviously makes startups much faster. Being 512 GB should handle most needs. This computer is rated as ready for "Mixed Reality" mode (Microsoft's virtual reality), and indeed it passes the Windows test for meeting the requirements. (It will of course require buying the $450 headset and installing 2 GB of programming.) There are only 2 USB ports, a USB-A (3.0) on the left side and a USB-C (3.0) on the right. So if you don't want to tie up the port, you'll need a true Bluetooth mouse that doesn't require using its own receiver. Having built-in Bluetooth is also nice since you can connect to your cell phone to download pictures, etc So far my only gripe is that not only does it not have the numeric keypad, but the DELETE/HOME/PAGE UP etc buttons are not where I'm used to them being. If BB is reading this, you need more help in your stores at this time of year and need to get your online computer system fixed before next Thanksgiving. But that's another story.

Overall, very pleased with laptop. Speed is great ( solid state drive). Battery life is a little less than I had expected but not a deal breaker. Sleek, lightweight, as compared to my older HP with hard drive. Screen resolution is great. One minor complaint. Only one HDMI and USB port. USC port is featured but most of my older accessories use USB so will need an adaptor/extension.
