The Sprout is an amazing machine with so many cool features! Absolutely great for the creative minds.

I was a little disappointed by the 3D camera it breaks up the image into an unrecognizable image. It does not work. The regular images work okay, but I need to learn a little more about how to use it to more fully speak about this part of the computer. The rest of it seems okay. Chrome does not act right on this computer. I am hoping this improves with time.

Purchased on March 6, 2015 from my local Best Buy store. This is a "bleeding-edge" product designed to bring out the artist, craftsman, and designer in you! Since there will be support for the upcoming 3-D printers HP will make (and others are already making), it's super-easy to scan objects and render them, manipulate them, and eventually produce a final product that can be used for school projects, design mockups, or prototype use. What am I using it for? Photos (uploading, editing, etc.), artistic projects (greeting cards, posters, etc.), and video editing. It's nice to have so much computing power and so many built-in creative features to reduce my time in front of the screen. Bottom line: This is an exceptionally well-built touchscreen "all-in-one" machine with powerful features that can be used in the home, classroom, or office. Highly recommended.

This is one cool concept and I cannot wait to see what doors this opens in the future. It’s not a new computer, it’s a new platform, and a new way to interact with technology … truly exciting to be sure! That said, it’s still in its infancy and I found it to be buggy and the available apps and graphics (like the clip art) to be underwhelming while the cost was extremely overwhelming. I do a lot of photo and video editing and had hoped to use the mat as you would a Waacom board. Unfortunately, the image is projected rather than backlit so it’s impossible to work on the fine details without getting in your own way. The Sprout didn’t always recognize the mat, and the mat wasn’t always responsive and would often freeze. I finally removed it only to find that using an external monitor is extremely difficult. The scanner is wonderful for papers, photos, etc. but scanning anything with dimension proved difficult. Shadows cast on the mat when scanned created a bad key effect, so taking a pic of your hand, for instance, left the hand with uneven, white edges. To be fair, the issues I had (including the Sprout resetting itself back to factory settings three times over the course of two weeks) were big enough that it's possible it just needed to be replaced and/or recalibrated. That is why I gave it two stars. The concept is 5 starts and once the bugs are worked out, I’ll be the first in line to buy it again. Until then, I’m going to have to stick with my Mac.

First, this has a learning curve, if you are not willing to go through it, don't bother with the machine. But, once you get over the hump you will wonder how you never realized what you were missing. The ability to scan objects in and run two screens without a separate second screen is interesting but takes time to get used to - the 20 point sensitivity of the touch mat also takes some time to get used to - not a show stopper but is frustrating at first

for the scanning it is work perfect with scanning but not very well with 3d scanning.

Wow, what a great machine. It's a little slower than what I'd expect from an i7 machine in terms of response; however, that's to be expected with all the toys, bells and whistles.

Not your ordinary computer!! This sports a great Intel processor, Nvidia graphics, plus Intel RealSense technology and a cool touchmat that begs "touch me"! It's upgradeable, will scan both 2D and 3D objects and is the perfect companion to a 3D printer. And it comes with a stylus!! It comes with software and games that take advantage of the hardware capabilities.

Really cool machine. The 3D camera is the best innovation to come to a pc since color monitors. Powerful computer that is also a lot of fun.

Great new feature of using the touch pad as screen and working on graphics. Kids like designing their own projects.

and this is the time where technology is making fun of us, The HP Sprout is truly without a doubt one of the most powerful, most fascinating machines in the world, the idea that All in one with high specs and extreme performance with a Phenomenal 3D projector and a creativity window, UI bought the sprout for my graphics projects and I look forward to use it further and further, I am very happy with this purchase

I expected it to be a lot better but it freezes on me alot and requires a lot of updating
