I researched laptops and bought this for my needs; i.e, relaxing on the in the evening, streaming t.v., watching videos on You Tube etc. Very soft use, maybe 6-8 hours a week? I've had it 10 months now, and overall, it's a marginally okay product. The only pro: Streams pretty effortlessly without unless buffering. . . I am not a gamer and so, can't comment on the graphics. Multiple cons: However, last week the headphone jack only plays to one side of my headphones. Yes - the headphones work -- I've tried them in different devices, no problems, and . . . used a second set of headphones in this laptop and still have the same problem. HP Technical support was responsive and made numerous attempts [remotely, viewing my screen and control settings] to fix the problem without success. Now, I have to send the thing off to HP and even though it's under "warranty" there still "may" be a charge. Translation: there will probably be a charge. The other issue with this laptop that is just more annoying that anything else is using the screenpad/mouse controls and "trying" to click on links clicking links on any given webpage. My wifi is extremely fast, so, I am not waiting for things to download long. However, I'll be centered over a link and try to click on it and the page refreshes or almost like "flinches," and essentially, "moves off the link I wanted." It will end up clicking on something unintended and then I'll have to go back. It's so frustrating. And finally, there's these "hot corners" and/or right side of the screen controls that AUTOMATICALLY appear and display when you're just running the cursor across/over the screen. Be advised, I called HP support about this early on and was told you cannot completely disable it. Given a choice, I would not repurchase this laptop again.
