A lot of computer for $1199
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this computer up about a week ago. Before purchasing this one I had given the 27 inch iMac a shot, but was not impressed enough to justify the $1800 price tag. The first thing I noticed after pulling it out of the box is the degree of adjustability that the stand offers. When fully reclined it's almost like having a giant iPad in front of you...pretty cool! The included keyboard and wireless mouse work well and seem to be pretty well made. The computer itself is very nice looking with a bright screen, and stylish metallic silver sides. Once everything was hooked up I ran the basic windows test to get some idea of its' base performance. Graphics seemed to be the only weak point coming in at 4.5, but that's not surprising considering it doesn't have a discrete graphics card. Processing speed and memory both came in at a beefy 7.1. All together it is a well rounded performance put up by this computer. Trying out the included Blue Ray player resulted in a beautiful picture as well as crisp sound from the Beats speakers. The Beats speakers also provide excellent quality for music and regular iTunes videos. Another strong point for this computer is the included Bluetooth connectivity. Pairing it up with my Motorola Atrix proved to be easy, and I was steaming music in no time at all. This wouldn't be a decent review if I didnt include some feedback regarding the touch screen. This model runs HP's most recent version of their Touchsmart software, and as such it is very responsive. The included apps in the Touchsmart program are pretty handy, especially the photo gallery and touch screen designed web browser. In closing I am very comfortable with the $1199 investment that I have made in this machine, and I would highly recommend this computer to any person who is looking for stout performance blended with the novelty of a touch screen.

Buyer's Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a wonderful computer if you are not looking to hook up another monitor for a dual monitor setup or try and hook up a gaming system. The box states that it comes with HDMI INPUT BUT IT DOES NOT. When i got it home and took it out the box I noticed that there was not an HDMI connection. I called back to the store and spoke with the HP rep who did some investagation and discovered that the other ones at the store did not have the HDMI input also. I was told that someone would contact me the following week and of course no one did. When I called the Hp rep back he explained to me that HP ship over 50,000 units without the HDMI input jack. So now i'm faced with taking it back because this was the main reason for purchasing the computer. When working from home I need dual monitor setup. Also please be aware the only way you can utilize the TV Tuner is with a coaxial cable. So if you have satelite service you will have to purchase a RF convertor in order to use. Pictures when watching SD video are not that clear full screen but are excellent when viewing HD context. This is where you really miss the HDMI connection. Overall is it a really nice computer with great features and the family will love it but not for the computer tech person.

Fast, full of options, but Touchsmart apps "iffy"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the fastest computer I've ever owned or used, and I go back to about 1982. It's fun and very easy to use, easy to view with the large HD screen, and makes excellent use of Windows 7. I like the whole Touchsmart concept, but HP needs to do a lot better job at developing its apps. Netflix, especially, which is one of the reasons I bought into the Touchsmart feature, was difficult from the get-go: at first wouldn't let me log in using my legitimate name and PW; then stalled, bucked and stammered. If it weren't for my experience with computers, this would have been a difficult deal to swallow. And I see the same complaints from others--MANY others. Come on, HP, I'm sure you can do better. You've got a great product to begin with: don't mess it up with lousy apps development!

Excellent All-in-One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially I had bought a Dell AIO Sku 1677227 I had brought it home and was extremely excited to get it out and start it up. I wasn't 100% satisfied with it so I kept looking online and stumbled across this HP. I have to say that it is definetly worth the extra money to upgrade and buy this over the Dell. HP vs Dell (listed above) Screen and graphics are much better on the HP More memory on the HP and more expandable HP is energy star, Dell is not Keyboard is nice and quiet vs loud Dell keyboard

HP service is terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 2 weeks I had trouble with this computer. I called HP and had to send it back for service. I was without it for 2 weeks. When it came back nothing had been done. They said no problem was found. Finally after many phone calls I got someone to come out to look at it. They put a new hard drive in. It worked for about a month and now I am having problems with it again. They won't replace it or give me and extended warranty. I will never buy another HP product.

DO NOT BUY HP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a HP touch smart 600 and its junk. I haven't even owned it 1 yr. the warranty is still good but HP doesn't stand by it. They have not fixed the problem and will not replace the computer so I'm left w/junk. Oh and their oh so smart technicians will wipe your computer out and lose all your software, then HP will not come good for it. Software I bought and had to have is now gone and HP refuses to pay me back for their mess up. Nice eh. Trust me go on HP site other people have had the same problems as I w/their junk.
