Bought this for my son for Christmas, he is so in love with this laptop! The graphics are phenomenal! Only issue is his battery will only last 45 mins playing roblox, I am going to bring it to the store to see if the battery isn't good due to shipping or something. Battery Life is the only complaint

I couldn’t be happier with the HP Victus 15.6” Gaming Laptop! For its price point, this laptop is an absolute steal. The combination of an Intel Core i5 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, and a 144Hz Full HD display delivers smooth and immersive gaming performance that exceeds expectations.
The 512GB SSD is super fast, but the real kicker is the upgrade potential. For just around $100, I was able to upgrade the RAM and expand the storage to 1TB, turning this already powerful machine into a true gaming beast!
HP nailed the design with the sleek Performance Blue finish, and the build quality feels durable and premium. Whether you’re a casual gamer or looking to dip your toes into more serious gaming, this laptop delivers performance and value that’s hard to beat.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality gaming laptop without breaking the bank!

Got this for a good price. I would not buy this for a gaming laptop for current games or AAA games. It’s just not going to cut it. I got it for work and it’s more than I need for that.
I one bad thing was it’s only upgradable to 32gb RAM. I looked around online and it looked like 64 would be ok but it’s not. It is also not the simplest to upgrade as you have to remove the entire back. You will need a plastic tool to pry it off after removing the screws.
Overall good for the price. Especially for work. Just don’t fall for the “gaming laptop”. Battery life is also not good but I keep it plugged in.

Good for running games on medium to high settings, dlss can boost frames on lighter games to around 280-500 depending and most modern games on medium with dlss can hit 120-200 or on high can hit 120-160 dlss.
Easy ram/memory upgrades with mine having 64gb which helps speed up moment to moment responsiveness for a lot of tasks.
Can also play things like black ops 6 and halo infinite slightly above 60fps on high with dlss and even way further on medium and low, valorant, tf2, wow, cs2, Fortnite, marvel rivals and many other games can run really well as long as you’re not pushing high end/max settings.
144hz refresh rate is pretty good and the screens pixels are definitely vibrant for the cost.

This Laptop is pretty solid. So I suggest you be careful not to overrun the cpu and the ram too hard. But other than that flaw. This is the best thing I bought so far

Purchased at 529 and it far exceeded my expectations. This machine comes with 1 open RAM slot and 1 open NVME slot, so i got a Crucial 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz kit (2x 16GB) and a Team Group 2TB NVME SSD and this thing is a workhorse for my needs.
I really appreciate the muted 'Gamer' theme as the keyboard is backlit in white and the whole appearance is very mature with minimal branding.
13th Gen i5 works well for my needs, and 6GB of dedicated RTX 3050 horsepower is very reliable. I currently use it for esports titles which all get 100+FPS maxed out, RTS titles, and indie games.
If you are realistic about your needs, I think this a great purchase.
At the time of this review this machine is even lower priced at 499, making it a steal. Add some RAM and a 2nd SSD!

This gaming laptop is great to start your gaming. It runs games at 144 FPS easily, no lagging with minimal applications opened, and the build of this laptop is sleek as well. I bought this for my brother as ive only ever used Lenovo Gaming Laptops, and he enjoyed it with no issues since.

Great entry level gaming laptop. Purchased as Christmas 2024 gift for our son. He plays Forza Horizons in high/medium settings and it looked and plays great with no visual lag. Over all a very capable gaming device. Highly recommend when on sale.

This HP Victus 15.6" gaming laptop is an absolute powerhouse for the price. The 144Hz Full HD display is super smooth and makes a huge difference in both gaming and everyday use — everything looks fluid and responsive. The Intel Core i5 combined with the RTX 3050 graphics card handles modern games like a champ, especially on medium to high settings.
Boot times and load speeds are lightning fast thanks to the 512GB SSD, and the 8GB of memory is enough for most tasks, though I may upgrade in the future for even better multitasking. Build quality is solid, and the Mica Silver finish gives it a sleek, premium look.
Whether you're a casual gamer, student, or someone looking for a strong all-around laptop, this one delivers great performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommend it!

This laptop is great for the price. My old computer struggled to run graphically intense games, and this one just breezes through them. My few issues with this laptop are that it's battery life isn't great (but what can you expect from a gaming laptop), that it doesn't charge with usb-c but this issue isn't too bad, and that it only has 8gb of ram, but I upgraded this for only about $80.

This laptop is decently smooth running out of the box. I went ahead and upgraded the ram and it runs a lot smoother. For the price it is well worth it in my opinion.

The build of the laptop is surprisingly good for the price, although I be fairly gentle with it to make sure I don’t break it! The keyboard responsiveness is good, and handles constant usage well (WASD person here). Screen quality is good as well, and it handles heavy games like baldur’s gate 3 well, just make sure to use the NVIDIA control center to make sure it’s using the RTX GPU and not the integrated graphics from intel.
I did upgrade the ram, from 8gb to 32gb. A bit overkill, but it helps the games run smoother. If you play a lot of large games, (over say, 100gb), get an external storage device, or see if you can upgrade the SSD! 512gbs is great for me, but might not be enough for others.

A great value gaming Laptop! It gets a bit loud, but hard to complain about at this price. We hook ours up to a TV when gaming, which helps reduce the fan noise since it’s further away. Plays a ton of games at 1080p pretty nicely.

Solid system for students or beginners that arent really interested in serious gaming as the nvidia 3050 will string you up in the long run and with many high definition, demanding games it will underperform compared to the similar power, newer generation chips. Also not recommended for video work as it will also seem pretty slow compared to paying a couple hundred more for seamless editing and graphics thatll make a world of difference in quality of life. Although im sure it can run photoshop or even protools well enough; I wouldnt recommend for more load bearing programs or gaming.

My old laptop bit the bullet and I kept putting off getting a new one due to money. I knew I wanted a gaming computer / laptop of some sort but those things can get EXPENSIVE. I found this one on sale at Best Buy and did my research before purchasing. I must say, I am so happy with this product. The graphics are great, the sound quality is lovely, the speed is awesome! I haven’t had it for long but I’m honestly so glad that I invested the money that I did into this product. I would highly recommend this for a more budget-friendly gaming laptop option!

Honestly, I bought it more for how it looks and I loved the design. I knew it was a modest processor for games, but I was surprised by the performance since between the video card and the disk, it runs demanding games. Yes, I increased the RAM and I will put more, but apart from its excellent presentation, the keyboard is super smooth, it is the best average machine for work, games, design and content creation.

I got this laptop for light gaming as well as schoolwork and videos. It is reasonably fast, not too heavy, and has a vivid display. However, it does get overloaded on ram sometimes so I may upgrade that to 16 eventually.
