Excellent Performance vs Price

Excellent performance vs price laptop when on sale. I got it for $880 during the Black Friday/Xmas sales and then saw it was $850 so I was able to get it price matched with $30 refunded.
So far, it has been a great purchase. The keyboard feels fine to me and the screen has been great and clear! The build quality seems to be excellent so far. The laptop is quite slim for what it packs inside and is not heavy.
I am extremely pleased with the gaming performance especially at this price level. The fans and cooling do a great job of keeping the CPU and GPU cool even while gaming.
I did upgrade to 2x16 (32GB total) DDR5 and a 4TB SSD (replaced the 512GB since there is only 1 slot). This laptop should last me for years.

I bought this computer for school. It handles demanding softwares such as CAD, Fusion, Inventor, etc. perfectly fine. I can also play modded VR assetto corsa with my sim racing on high settings perfectly. And plenty other games. So it has done everything i expected. I do wish i got more than half a TB but thats not a huge deal. Battery life isnt great but i just always have it plugged in

I got it as a late birthday gift on sale for $900 but it was totally worth full price. I ran Oblivion remastered on it for a little while and it handles the game perfect so it's pretty powerful. It does overheat a little bit nothing major.
My only problem is the 2 hours of battery life seems a little short but that's an easy fix if you can find a new battery to install.

Managed to get this when it was heavily discounted. I have used this for messing around in UE 5.4 learning how to design levels, for full-stack development and for gaming. Haven't had any problems yet. So far everything I have tried to do on this has worked perfectly. The 1080p screen is just fine for what me and the high refresh rate is nice. Also, understand it's a gaming laptop. To get the most of the battery life if you aren't gaming, you'll have to tweak the settings. This is expected from these types of laptops. Would definitely recommend if you can get it on sale. Make sure you plan to upgrade the SSD and look into upgrading to 32gb of RAM to make the most of it.

Really good gaming laptop. That 4070 is a beast, it can run any game without any problems. The only downside is the battery. It doesn’t really last that long, but you want to be connected anyways to get more performance. Another con is the ram and the ssd but you can always upgrade those later. Other than that it’s a great laptop especially if you get on a deal.

I love the Victus. Incredible performance, graphics, and smooth quality gameplay. The design is sleek and comfortable. The only downside would be the battery life when using the laptop to specifications is very short. From 100% to 10% in about an hour, hour and a half. Not a problem if it is plugged in but taking gaming on the go might be cut short.

So far so good! The games I've tried on it so far have run very smoothly. The battery life isn't the best, but I think that's to be expected with most gaming laptops. I'm not a huge fan of all of the bloatware that comes preinstalled on Windows computers, but after taking the time to get rid of all of it, I noticed a pretty significant jump in performance and battery life.

To be clear, I purchased this laptop during a $500 off sale, so I'm not coming from the perspective of paying $1399.99. Out of the box, this laptop is sufficient, great performance in every game I threw at it, reasonable battery life, having the option to run the display at 144hz is a nice touch. With 32gb of installed ram, and a upgraded 2 TB SSD, this laptop is a BEAST.
Great cooling solution. As expected, it can get a little loud when really pushing the system. Not too much bloatware.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the HP Victus 16.1" Gaming Laptop! Right out of the box, this machine impressed me with its sleek Mica Silver finish and solid build quality. But where it really shines is performance — especially for gaming.
I primarily bought this laptop to play Counter-Strike 2, and let me tell you: it runs absolutely flawlessly. I'm consistently hitting 300+ FPS even during intense moments, thanks to the powerful combo of the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and the beastly NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. Everything feels buttery smooth, super responsive, and just an overall amazing experience.
The 16.1" screen is stunning, with vibrant colors and a fast refresh rate that really elevates competitive gaming. Plus, the 512GB SSD makes loading times lightning fast — whether it's games, apps, or just booting up the system, everything feels instant.
If you're looking for a gaming laptop that can dominate titles like CS2 and handle everything else you throw at it, this is the one. HP really knocked it out of the park with this model. Highly, highly recommend!

I bought 2 of these. One for me and my son. I upgraded both to 32gb of RAM. A 2tb ssd for his and 4 TB for mine. I also upgraded the screen in mine for $90 to 1440p using a compatible HP Omen screen. The stock 1080p screen will suffice for most. This thing rocks! Battery life is great if you are not gaming. Overall speed is fantastic.

We bought this laptop for our nephew as a Christmas gift and it has been such a great purchase. The build quality is excellent, and it definitely keeps up with all the types of gaming he does—whether it’s Roblox or more demanding dedicated games. He’s a dedicated gamer on the go, and this laptop has been the perfect fit for him. The performance is smooth, the graphics look great, and it runs reliably without lag. For the price, it’s honestly a very good deal, and he absolutely loves it!

Abosolute monster…the victus is tearing up all AAA games with high fps….playing ghost of tsushima, nfs unbound, assassins creed mirage and other games on ultra settings with ray tracing and dlss 3 on smoothly without any lag whatsover and the best part is that the tenps never get high even in an intense gaming session.Highly recommend it you just have to upgrade ssd to 1TB or 2TB and you are good to go.Even though it says it has a 1080p display it supports a maximum resolution of 4K in games probably because of the high end gpu.

I was upgrading from my Acer Nitro 5 with 1650Ti and this thing is blowing my mind. I love it! The one problem I have with it is that the left speaker sounds blown... which is a bummer but I'll eventually open it up and take a look to replace it.
I bought this because it had 8BG VRAM and I have been able to run Stable diffusion and my video and photo software. I just wish the laptop versions of these cards had the same VRAM as the desktop cards.
I thought I was going to hate going from 17' to 16' but it's really not been an issue for me at all! The keyboard feels great, the screen is bright enough for me and the power is just there. I'm truly happy with this purchase.

All my games ran well with no issues. Screen is good enough but if you are under a bright light you may have some issues seeing the screen. Fans can get a bit loud but i usually have headset on. For upgrading it has 1 m.2 SSD slot but i wish it had 2, you can switch out both ram cards out. I got it on sale for $850 which I'm happy with.

Couldn't have made a better investment. I was doubtful about HP laptops as I had a bad experience several years ago but decided to give it one more chance, and boy, wait it the right choice. It's been wonderful, I haven't had any problems at all, runs multiple programs smoothly and usually it doesn't get as hot as you'd expect.

HP Victus 16 (2024): A Budget-Friendly Gaming Powe

The HP Victus 16 (2024) is a solid choice for gamers who are looking for a budget-friendly laptop that can handle demanding games and creative tasks. Its strong performance, upgradeable components, and decent display make it a compelling option. However, the lack of VRR and potential battery life limitations should be considered.
