I love this computer and use it over my mac for school because its smaller has word and can be a tablet. The only reason i dint give this 5 stars is because it will occasionally run out of battery real fast if you leave lots of apps open! overall i love this computer.

    worst laptop I've ever got

This is nothing but a trouble stay away from it and any HP product. Since I bought that 2 in 1 I had nothing but problems, it was really slow comparing to my other Sony VAiO which has the same exact specification but it was 2 years older but still working much better and I am still using it. one another issue was that the battery it drains while on sleep mode. the touch screen don't even bother to use as it is not responsive most of the time and you have to press really hard to get it working., and above all of this the HP customer service I have been trying to buy and extended warranty for this product and I've just spent more than 2 hours trying to get to the right department on the phone. And finally to make thinks worse after one month of the warranty expired the laptop stopped working and I mean period not even boosting. So to make a long story short do not ever buy anything from HP.

A year ago I was looking for something that had both a tablet, but was also a full windows version computer. (The website I needed to access my work I didn't care for in tablet mode.) I also wanted something that my clients could sign documents if I was out in the field working. I considered the Surface Pro, but I thought it was expensive. I found this 2-in-1 and loved it! I liked the larger screen than the surface pro, which has worked out great when I've needed to review legal-size documents. This computer/tablet has made me more productive. I am still extremely happy with this purchase, even after a year! The ONE downside is that occasionally it will freeze and I will have to restart it. I haven't lost anything that couldn't be fixed there and then, so even though I would prefer no glitches, I'm still satisfied. Plus, everyone who sees my laptop LOVES it! They think it's the coolest thing ever! :)

I just got this computer a couple weeks ago, and I am very impressed. I love everything about it! Sound is okay (I didn't buy for the sound though), the tablet capabilities are awesome, and it's easy to use in both tablet and laptop mode. There is, however, one downside to the computer. No, actually, two, although the second one isn't as important. The touchpad on the keyboard occasionally gets stuck. And by stuck, I mean it gets pressed down so that it's always left-clicking. I always (when it gets stuck) have to stick my fingernails underneath the trackpad and lift it up till it gets unstuck. That's what I have a problem with, and it happens daily. The other problem is that when the tablet isn't connected to the keyboard, you can't push the hinge down that connects to the tablet (unless it's connected...then you can close it like a normal laptop). It's annoying when I just want to use my tablet without taking the keyboard out, but I always have to take the keyboard out because I'm afraid it will break. So yes. 8/10 for this computer.

    It's ok but not great

I like the fact that it's a 2 in 1. I don't like the USB ports being in the back in the back of the laptop especially with the screen being so top heavy. It tips over very easily which could cause damage to the ports. The battery life isn't all that great. It doesn't seem to charge completely; there always seem to be uncharged space reflected on the screen. I lune the petite look of this laptop. I am a bit old fashioned so not having a cd drive was a big bomber for me. Think I will be returning this device.

Amazing Windows 10 + Android tablet!

This is the HP Split x2. If you are looking for a really nice tablet or basic, general-use PC, this is one of the BEST, but controversial ones to check out. Before you read my review, also check out the HP Pavilion x2, HP Envy x2, and HP Spectre x2. Here is why: PROS - This device comes with Windows 8.1 which can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free through July 29, 2016. In addition, you can install a program called "Bluestacks" to add Android to the device. Once you do that, you have the most amazing tablet on the market at an incredibly low price! Its a tablet with 500 GB of storage, LTE cellular connectivity, and an intel i3 processor! This thing wipes the floor with 90% of tablets on the market, including most iPads. This HP is also one of the last models to include Beats by Dre before Apple purchased them. The speakers themselves are very impressive as a tablet, but the big, nice thing is the software the comes included. HP has the Beats app. While most computers and tablets can only adjust the volume up and down, this one you can adjust each individual speaker plugged in up and down, your headphones up and down, and each individual frequency up and down. I had a PS4 headset plugged in through the 3.5mm jack and it sounded terrible until I switched BEATS on and cranked the bass frequencies up. My music sounded so much better! It sounds silly, but it overlays on top of any music program you may have and works with microphones, too. So you can adjust your audio and recordings on the fly regardless of whatever program you're using. CONS: The only caveat is this device should be bought as a TABLET FIRST, not a primary PC. I say that because it comes with 4 GB of RAM and Windows uses 2 GB. So you only get 2 GB of ram for doing all your computing -- including android emulation. It's perfect for web browsing, running productivity software (office), and light apps -- you know, 90% of what people buy computers for -- but not so much for heavy multitasking or moderate computing. This device has no dedicated graphics card, so you can't run high-end videogame programs or any software that requires VRAM. That's it. As long as you're not one of those people who are buying a nice tablet trying to run Call of Duty on it, you'll be happy. End. I have two PERSONAL complaints: 1. there are no real cases for 13" tablets. Tablet sizes go as follows: 7", 8", 10". Because this is a 13", you get an awesome display for watching movies, but you have to treat it like a 13" PC when shopping for cases. 2. HP included the USB ports on the keyboard attachment and not the tablet itself. It can be annoying if you're trying to be ultra portable but still use the USB port. These two things kind of force you to carry your keyboard at all times and makes it feel less portable. Fortunately, HP fixed these design flaws with the HP Pavilion x2, HP Envy x2, and HP Spectre x2. Check those out, too.

    Great light-weight convertable!

I bought this for my wife, who really wanted a light-weight laptop to replace her 13-inch Toshiba Satellite (which died after many years of wonderful use). The HP Split is simply amazing. Its screen isn't full HD (but that's not common with 13 inch screens). Otherwise this computer is packed with options - especially the 8 gig allocation for the hybrid drive. It starts up fast, loads programs much faster than most light-weight laptops, and has a great soft-touch keyboard and touchpad. Of course, you don't need those if you use it as a tablet. I found myself comfortably switching between keyboard and tablet / touch-screen as I surfed the internet, sometimes clicking, other times swiping, and it was very natural / easy.
