This product is great. If you have that unit. If you have the cosmos elite then it will not work.

Installs easily with a small phillips screwdriver. You only need this kit if you have the Vive Pro model. You have to have this if you have the Vive Pro to be able to use the Wireless Adapter.

I will admit I was not quite educated on VR when I bought this. I thought this was the wireless package for the VR bundle that I purchased. This is only to attach the wireless bundle, (which was an additional cost of more that I was willing to spend). So, my son still gets tangled in his VR cord.

HTC Vive wireless set requires this to work :( Pretty dissappointing after already spending so much money on the platform.

The wireless adapter setup and experience is much better for the OG Vive than the Pro. There are no in box instructions, only an online guide and the animated instructions are extremely uninformative and they don't give a whole lot of written instructions. It took me about 30 minutes to get this thing to the point I could use it, for some reason the cushion makes it sit higher on my face than I feel it should and I could not get the built in headphones on the headset to line up with my ears. Then once I finally get it working, I find out that I'm part of the group that has Wireless adapter problems with my setup. Fortunately, it all runs smoothly, no disconnects or stutters. But everything is very pixelated which kinda defeats the purpose of buying a Pro for the resolution upgrade. I'm hoping I can troubleshoot the problem, but if my Pro can only be wired to the computer, then there's no point owning it over waiting for the Index to be more widely available. I'd also like to mention that this kit could not have costed more than $5-$10 and costs $60. This should just come with the Vive Pro. The OG Vive had everything it needed to make this adapter work and the newer one didn't which seems backwards to me. It really feels like they did more to make the adapter work on the OG Vive than the Pro and it has degraded my respect for HTC as a company.
