Still one of the best Android phones on the market

The Nexus 6P was always a great Android device that is as quick as they get, super smooth, and has a very nice feel to it. Now with Android Nougat/7.0, it's even quicker than the latest Samsung Note 7 flagship, and has fantastic battery standby time compared to previous versions of Android. It's camera us very good, and the slower HDR processing has been resolved with N too. The only reasons I wouldn't give this phone 5 stars is that it doesn't have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which makes a bug negative difference for video recording, and that it's metal frame can easily get damaged compared to stronger, series 7000 aluminum found in most flagships. It's also very big for its screen size, but it's stereo, front facing speakers make up for that.

Bought it when it was on sale. I use this with project fi and it works great. Bluetooth connects fast, no issue connecting with any of my Bluetooth enabled devices. Camera is excellent, I've used it mostly for taking photographs of nature while I'm out hiking. Screen size was a bit large for my petite hands but I'm getting used to it.

    Best smartphone of 2015

This is hands down the best smartphone on the market. It is the epitome of Android devices with no lag, no slowing down, and great battery life, thanks to the pure, vanilla, stock, Android. The fast-charging is extremely convenient and the battery life is superb, with more than enough for a full day on each full charge, especially thanks to Doze. The build quality of the phone is amazing. It's sturdy, strong, and no, it has not bent. The camera is great for low-light shots and a huge improvement over last year's Nexus 6. The size really isn't that bad, either. Another great thing is the super quick fingerprint sensor which is placed in the perfect position. Overall, Androids as a whole finally have a flagship phone which Google can show off and use as an example for the perfect Android phone. This is finally an Android phone that is to Android as iPhones are to iOS, and if you're thinking of going from iOS to Android, this is the phone to get.

Pros Great battery life Bright, clear screen Quick charging Slim design USB conversion cable included Relatively light Fingerprint sensor works very well Frequent android updates Has not crashed/frozen yet Cons The "Back" virtual button is on the wrong side. I'm used to clicking on the bottom right hand side of the screen to go back. Since, I'm right-handed, I now have to stretch my thumb across the bottom of the screen to click "Back" Very annoying. Those virtual buttons can be junky at times. They disappear when the screen is in full screen mode and sometimes it's a hassle to make them pop up again. No removable battery or expandable memory. It's very large so you need two hands to operate it handily. Overall, I'm happy with it but there are some quirks I wish I could change.

This is one of if not the best phone on the market right now in just about every way and for the price point it is offered at it blows away the competition. For those who are wondering to get this phone of the Nexus 5s if you can spend the extra money on this phone and like bigger phones or are willing to get used to bigger phones it is well worth it. I switched from a Moto X and I am amazed with this phone. Pros: Battery life is amazing lasting me all day even with 5+ hours of screen on time and the device charges very fast (45min will get you an almost full charge) Camera is great is low light and the HDR works wonders in some scenes. At times where I expected a picture to just be black I was amazed with the details. Stock software and fast and frequent updates. With the extra RAM and better processor I have yet to have this thing lock up on me and only encountered one or two slowdowns after a month of usage. Cons: My unit the power button is really mushy and one time got stuck down for a bit which seems to be happening on a handful of units. Applying pressure to the screen above power button got it unstuck but I may RMA my unit. 240fps video has a lot of noise in lower than average light scenes, 120fps video did not have the issue as much and normal video looked fine. Fingerprint scanner can't seem to get my fingerprint right after a day I have had this issue with other fingerprint scanners in the past though and this issue is likely made worse by it being winter though so it may be better in a few months.

I purchased this phone to move from Verizon to Google Fi and am not disappointed. My previous 3 phones were all Samsung Galaxy Note phones (2, 3, and 4) and I wasn't highly motivated to take on a phone with no SD card support, but this phone has everything I need and more. No bloatware, latest OS, blazing fast, long battery life, great camera, and I even like the fingerprint reader. I have already convinced a co worker to make the switch and would recommend this phone to anyone.

I have had this phone now for over a month. I had a Samsung Note 4 before this phone. This phone is so much faster. I have no lag, and my battery actually makes it through the day. The fingerprint scanner is light years ahead of the Note 4. Every program on this phone (I have over 70) runs fast. The call quality is excellent and the dual front speakers are wonderful and loud. No more cupping my hand on the back of the phone to hear. The camera is good, I would rate it a small notch below the Note 4. Overall I highly recommend this phone. I don't think I will ever go back to a phone with carrier and manufacturer bloat.

I bought my new Nexus phone at sawgrass Mills, I drove 50 miles to get the new 6p at Best Buy. It is a nice phone, but unfortunately my phone had a software issue, so I took it back, and upgraded my Nexus 6p, with more memory. I believe in Google, and I now get all the new updates first from Google, I love the photos s it takes, and the over all performance, also the phone is very user friendly, I would definitely recommend this product to friends, and family.

This is the best phone you can get, period. That is if you like android. From the awesome camera, which is so much better than my previous Note 4, to the build quality. But the best part is how fast this phone is. Since it is a pure android phone straight from google , there is no bloatware installed on the phone, I have yet to experience any stuttering or slowdowns. The camera I can honestly say is better than the Iphone 6s. My girlfriend and I tried them both during low light scenarios and the Nexus 6P outperforms it in this category. Under regular lighting hard to tell the difference between them. Just get this phone, it is beautiful, fast, and great quality overall.

When I was looking into buying this phone there were a few items that were troublesome. I was coming from a Galaxy Note 4 and was dubbed the "photographer" due to the stellar camera. I also loved the expandable storage options they offered. When I looked into this phone, it was a bit of an adjustment to have a lesser camera sensor and only built in storage options. However, I adjusted to the lack of expandable storage. The camera thus far has been alright, HDR mode seems to get the job done. You will definitely notice that there is a darker tone to the images you are taking, so you need to be more cognisant of the lighting offered in the surrounding area. Overall, the primary reasons I purchased this phone was because of the awesome battery life and the stock Android experience. Battery life is awesome on this phone! I can go 2 days or more at times without a charge (with moderate use). The operating system is one of the quickest experiences I have had on a phone. In addition since this phone is not carrier specific, you get updates quicker and more frequently. I own the 64gb variant and am on Verizon's network. If you are coming from a smaller phone, be advised this is one of the tallest phones on the market and it may take some getting use to in you pocket.

My first smart phone. A friend had told me about the Google Project Fi, and how only three phones can work with it for now. After comparing the Nexus 6, 6p, and 5x, I had to go with the 6p, especially after comparing it with other phones like iPhone and Samsung offerings. I'm really happy with phone, apps, voice recognition, cameras (I do a lot of video), battery life, and of course Project Fi (wifi first with good transitions to TMobile & Sprint as needed). Under $30/month for unlimited voice & text (and all the data I seem to need, given all the wifi connectivity).

This phone is just perfect for the price. Pros: 1. Slow downs occur extremely rarely and the phone is generally super responsive. 2. The screen is AMOLED which means darker blacks and hence better contrast. Also, the colors are VERY saturated which I find very attractive, but maybe off-putting for some. 3. The camera is great and the low light photo capabilities are phenomenal. The video recording is very good and slow mo videos are generally very smooth. 4. Battery life is pretty decent and lasts a day easily with moderate use. 5. Amazing build quality! This thing is a pleasure to hold in your hands. Cons: 1. The screen is very warm and may appear reddish to some. 2. Despite good reviews about the gaming capabilities of the device, I notice stutters and low fps pretty often in graphics intensive games. 3. No Optical Image Stabilization for the camera. 4. The screen may be too big for some. For the price, this phone is a no-brainer!

I have only ever had iPhones and wanted to upgrade my iPhone 5 until I realized AT&T doesn't subsidize upgrades anymore. I wanted a better camera but didn't want to fork over $900+ for the iPhone 6+. I spent a ton of time researching every phone out there and narrowed down to this or the Samsung note 5. This phone was way cheaper and when I compared the phones' pictures I actually like this ones better. I am so pleased! I wouldn't switch back to an iPhone if I got one for free... It took some acclimation to the android system but I love everything about it... Best phone on the market!

Reviewers much tech-ier than me have given more complete reviews, so I'll keep it to the layperson's POV. My Samsung Galaxy S5 shattered so I decided, instead of going to S6 (or S7, soon to launch), I'd go Google Nexus 6P. It's huge compared to the S5, but you get used to it very quickly. Battery life is great, camera is great and obvi VIP support from Google. HOWEVER...warnings to those of you who are on VZW, which I insist upon, as I live in San Francisco (ATT sucks in SF). First, know that it absolutely does work on VZW, but comes with some drama, whereas the Samsung (and other Android devices, I'm sure) do not have. 1) VZW does not support Visual Voice Mail on the 6P, that really ticks me off, Verizon; thus, your workaround is a pain through Google Voice install; 2) MMS is very unreliable if you're also OTP, SMS is no issue, but for some reason, MMS does not come through sending or receiving, until you're off the phone; thus, your workaround is Google Hangouts install 3) VZW sends you this gibberish text every time you get a voice mail, which you either have to just live with as basically the notification alert and ignore the nonsensical text itself, or you have to spend a looooong time with VZW customer (un)service and even then, it's a crapshoot that the person knows how to turn these annoying texts off. Bottom line: this is a fantastic phablet, highly recommend; but anticipate a number of frustrations if you're on Verizon Wireless until they can get their act together and decide to support Nexus 6P (whereas other carriers like ATT are already doing). This is an awesome device!

This is a great device if you want pure unadulterated Android. Great specs, although behind on the latest S7 I know that I'll get the most up to date OS updates which makes up for it. Images taken with the 6P match the iPhone 6s and Samsung S6/Note 5/S7 in quality, all my images have been great! A first for the Nexus line. The looks of the device are wonderful, face it we want our phone to look good if sales of the 6S, S6, Note 5, G4, and S7 are not proof enough. This flagship Nexus can stand side by side with those models and stand out on its own in the looks department. No QI charger, but the USB-C connector has made me forget all about the wireless charging. It is wicked fast, and keeping the screen off makes it charge even faster. This is also the closest you can get to a phone that can go to any carrier ala iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Simple, Tracphone, Metro PCS, you name it it supports it. It was my decision maker as I can swap sims when I travel or jump on another carrier if I decided to. This is true freedom and I love it. So if you are on the fence, just jump on over and join the Nexus family. You'll enjoy the best that Google has to offer and always be up to date with the Android platform.

TLDR: Had the phone for about a month, and overall, very pleased with it. No regrets at all. The best feature of this phone has got to be the lack of bloatware that the carriers require on their phones along with the frequent security updates that Google releases. If you like to have more control over your phone - then this is the one to get. Size: It is a little bigger than the other "flagship" phones, which can be good if you stick it in your back pocket - you won't forget that it's there when you sit down. Also, great for web browsing. Camera: The camera takes great photos (certainly better than my previous S4 and S5) - though you may want a camera app that does a bit more than the one that comes installed. You'll also need a app for photo management since there is no "Gallery" (the CM QuickPic is a good one). Charging: It uses the new USB-C connector - so if you have a bunch of the older micro USB chargers - I'd recommend getting a 4 pack or so of the MicroUSB adapters (no fast charge support, but for night time charging who cares). You'll also want to keep one with you since not everyone has the USB-C cable. Though it certainly holds a charge for the whole day and then some. For more information on the faulty MicroUSB adapters, google "Benson Leung usb-c" Storage: Depending on how much you store, I'd recommend getting at least the 64GB model - since this phone does not have microSD card support. This is the only real negative - even if I never use all the space - the option for expanded storage should always be available. Case: Get one. This one came with the slim Speck grip case. Works great. Other observations: If you use Verizon - It appears that the Visual Voicemail feature is not compatible with the Google Messenger app, so had to stick to basic VM notification. Also, the Verizon Cloud app does not work - so you won't be able to restore any items you backed up using that app on a Verizon carrier phone. There are plenty of free apps you can use to directly transfer over the same information though. There are some specific VZ Apps for the Nexus 6p and if you also have FIOS their app works so you can stream TV to your phone. Finally, it's worth mentioning that Verizon now charges $20 when you add one of their phones to your plan, but if you provide one of your own (like the Nexus 6p) - then no fee. If you want a great phone for a price that won't break the bank, but give you all the features of phones costing $300 more, then get the Nexus 6p.
