      Hi There, your phone is equipped with three microphones. Voices for hand-held calls are collected by microphone 1. Voices for handsfree calls are collected by microphone 2. Noise reduction is achieved by microphone 3.

      2. If your voice volume is too low during a hand-held call:

      Check whether you are holding your phone using your shoulder or blocking microphone 3 on the back of your hone. Doing so may decrease your voice volume collected by the microphone. The solution to this issue has been added to maintenance release 1 sent out by Google in December 2015.

      Check whether your fingers or other objects are blocking microphone 1 holes or the entire ID holes at the bottom of your phone. If so, your voice volume will become lower.

      3. If your voice volume is too low during a handsfree call:

      Check whether your phone is placed on a table (or other objects) with its screen facing downward. If so, microphone 2 is blocked and voice collection may be affected. It is suggested that you keep the screen facing upward.

      Check whether the distance between the phone and your mouth is too far. Even when the screen is facing upward, if you are too far away from your phone, your voice volume will also be low. The distance between you and your phone for handsfree calls should be no more than 30 cm.

    To start off this is one of the best purchases I have made in years. I previously had the HTC one me and my parents both have the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. This phone blows every phone I have tried and had out of the water! The finger print scanner on the back is placed perfectly for easy access, and is one of the fastest I have seen. The design of the phone just feels and looks premium I constantly get compliments on my phone with the awesome gold color. The performance on the nexus is on a different level from anything I have used. It doesn't matter what you are doing this thing flies! Anything I do is buttery smooth on this phone and it never misses a beat. The battery life is incredible I have over 3 and a half hours of on screen time and my phone is still at 35% you will not need to worry about brining your charger anywhere because this phone can easily last you 2 days on a single charge. This phone can not be praised enough in my opinion it blows any apple or Samsung product out of the water. It is the pure android experience without all the bloatware other companies throw on your phone. If your on the edge about getting one trust me you will not regret this purchase!

    This is the best phone that Google has ever put out in their Nexus line. The camera is great and marshmallow is wonderful on saving battery, it lasted all day with me using it alot. The phone feels really great in your hand its the perfect size. The fingerprint scanner work's really fast.

    Can only get parts online which is a pain since we needed to buy a wire that day and use it. We found out nobody had in stock.Nobody carries the accessories. House wire provided do not use a USB connector. The car wire is way to short, The plug for the phone does not even reach 18".

If your phone battery power drains easily, this may be because the screen brightness is set too high, the network environment is unstable, or the CPU is overloaded for games, HD video shooting, HD video playback, file downloads, or other scenarios. This is a normal phenomenon because your phone prioritizes by giving you a smooth user experience instead of reducing power consumption. To extend your phone battery life, you are advised to close background applications from time to time or take other measures to reduce power consumption, such as lowering the screen brightness or enabling automatic screen brightness adjustment.     I bought the phone jul 16, and it had worked god but recently started to power off for no reason I been reading similar complaints of other people what will be the solution for this? I ll be taking my phone to the store to see what they can do for this!

    the phone is constantly needing to be reset to factory settings or it cant reach google. It was useless on two different driving trips because it could not hold a signal and google kept crashing.

    Bends easily

    This phone has some nice features such as its size and call clarity; however, the phone frame developed a significant bend at the top of the volume button, within a month of normal use. The phone still works and the glass is intact, but it looks awful. I contacted both Google and Huawei regarding the issue. Google said it is a known issue and they would have replaced it if I had purchased it from the Google store. Huawei said it is not a common issue and they would not replace it. A quick Google search on the phone reveals hundreds of consumer complaints about the phone bending under normal use.

    I had the nexus 6 normal phone and loved it and got this as an upgrade and was sadly disappointed. I returned this for the s7 edge and am very happy with it.

    I purchased this phone on April 28, 2016. The phone stopped working on May 18, 2016. Over $400 spent for less than 30 days of use. This was outside of the store's return date and the mfg's has yet to stand by its product.

    If I could put 0 stars I will. the phone was bad. very bad hearing and voice service. After a year when the warranty expired it died because of the known defect and nobody from engineers from Google or Huawei take responsibility. for that problem. you can read about this. I am finishing using Google or Huawei phones. that's why the item is not anymore at Best Buy. DO not BUY IT !!! Waste of money !!!

    Bought the google nexus for my 16 yr old daughter. It restarts randomly 1-10 times a day. We did not buy the Best Buy warranty thinking there would be a manufacturer warranty but there is not unless you buy it from the google store. I have been through the blue shirts at Best Buy mobile and the google store help. We are stuck with this lemon. If you must have this phone, buy the warranty.

    This phone has all extraordinary features except the microphone issue!!!! I faced a microphone issue which is very irritating even after plenty of software updates. When i talk to someone they keep saying my voice is muffled and too low.... Please don't buy this phone... Worst phone with a primary calling feature failure...

    I was very disappointed when my phone arrived and was unable to turn on. I work for a large construction company and we have an IT Dept. and they couldn't get it to turn on, now I will have to take it back to exchange it for a new phone. Sorry about the review.

    terrible device, phone freezes all the time i have to restart this device at least 4 times a day. apps are slow to open and operated thru them. worst devices I have ever purchase and I buy at least 3 to 4 devices per year.

      Sorry to hear that, Elvin. Let's try a master reset to see if that helps to alleviate some of the issues that you are experiencing. Please keep in mind that a master reset will delete any data previously saved to the device so it is important to back all your files prior to performing this step. Once you have all your information backed up, press and hold the power button and volume buttons down simultaneously until the device vibrates (about 30-40 seconds). Once the device powers back on, follow the reboot instructions as they appear on the screen.
