I recently purchased this device and saw that it was new. Huawei might not be a well know brand here in the States but globally they are the number 3 leader in the smart phone industry behind Apple and Samsung. They are now going to tackle the US market with some of there high quality end products instead of selling there low end products here in the States. This phone has met my expectations. Great Full HD screen 1080p. Great camera, even in low light. The battery life is amazing. The phone is pretty snapping for the most part. The only thing that slows this phone down is huawei's custom skin on top of Android. While using apps the phone is pretty snapping but when using the phone software. It becomes a little laggy. The phone has 2 gigs of ram and a octa core 615 processor. I think a update could fix the software issue. I kinda like Huawei's skin. It's different. They just need make it more snappy. Overall it's a great phone. Good build quality. All metal phone. It doesn't heat up bad. Great game play. I think it's worth the 300$. Even though you have even more better choices for that price range .

A lot of good features on this phone. Good build quality and pretty snappy performance. I didn't like the lack of an app drawer on Huawei's UI. End of the day i returned this and bought the Motorola Moto X Pure edition for the same price. Motorola is slightly larger and smoother stock android experience.

Totally amazed by how good this phone is. Got it on sale ($220) but would have happily paid $300+

It was already a steal at the regular price, but you can't be that! It's great to hear that you are loving your GX8. (DM)
