This phone has a great camera but weak sound volume . It is hard to return to start due to the control button on the side as compared to the iphone/ samsung that is on the front of phone.

Like anything else you have to read the instructions. The battery life doesn't seem to last as long as a better quality, more expensive phone. Seems like a better first time phone.

Pretty much you get what you pay for. I am sure that this was an okay phone when it first came out or something. But now, it is pretty horrible. I am using the phone as an interim phone and even now, knowing i am going to get a good phone I want to replace this phone. But if you are going to use it for less than a month I guess it is fine..

I am a power user of devices and maybe a lot of the issues I have won't be an issue for you. Let's go ahead and get the cons out of the way. Cons: Laggy during CPU intensive programs: Try playing a game or rendering a video and switching to another app. There's almost a 4-5 second delay as the phone attempts to catch up. Average battery life: if you had given me fast charging for this phone I wouldn't have complained. But this is a bad idea to have battery life almost as good as everybody else but not give me fast charging like everyone else does. No NFC: I understand it's a budget phone, but NFC chips are extremely cheap and I would've been happy paying a little more for a 5x with NFC. Back of case is a smudge magnet: every time I handle my phone the back of it looks like it's been setting on top of a bucket of fried chicken. Ew. Camera struggles in low light: if you're indoors go ahead and turn on the flash unless you really want a grainy and blurry photo. Outside the camera is great. Pros: Price point is good for an eight core phone. EMUI: a lot of people complained that the interface on this phone is annoying and it is until you figure it out. It doesn't have an app tray like Android, but rather you slide from screen to screen in order to find your app like on an iPhone. Simply because EMUI (the phones launcher) was designed in China to make an Android phone look very similar to an iPhone. EMUI also packs a lot of surprises. You know those apps that force a notification on your status bar and you can't figure out how to turn it off? No worries. EMUI will give you a warning but it will let you close it. Facebook taking up too much battery while it's closed? EMUI will tell you it is and offer to close it every time you turn the screen off. Wonder where your storage space is going to? EMUI will tell you and offer to clean up the junk files for you. Plus imho it's refreshing to see something other than Samsung's TouchWiz or stock Android. I do have one complaint though. If you purchase this phone, make sure to open up Google Play Store, go to settings, and unchecked the box that says to add a shortcut to the home screen. If you leave this box checked, EMUI will add a shortcut and then Google Play will add a shortcut, leaving two shortcuts for the same app. It's best to leave this turned off. In closing: if you want a cheap phone that looks like an expensive one, maybe this is a good buy for you. If you need a powerful phone or a phone that stands out from everyone else, look elsewhere. In all fairness at $200 though, it is quite hard to find a phone that is either one of those, though. Edit: I attached a photo I took outside to show you what the camera does outside. It is a square photo because that's the only way you can achieve the 13 megapixel photos. Wide photos require you to drop down to 10 megapixels.

I like it but is not the same other phone I expect

I bought 2 of them when they were on sale. I tried to love these phones but the software seemed to have problems doing simple things. The camera was awful too. I don't get all the great reviews and praise. The phones were not of high quality.

My main reasons for picking this phone were good reviews, dual sim capability and price. I had been carrying two phones: one personal and one business. I needed to replace my personal phone and was pleasantly surprised to find a dual sim phone at this price point and with such good review. I have had the phone for about two weeks now. I do not have much of a problem with the proprietary UI that many have mentioned. It doesn't take long to get used to it and I didn't have app drawers on my old phone, so you can't miss what you never had. I have experienced the "laggyness" that others have mentioned. Commands are frequently not executed instantly. Usually, it is a delay of a second or so, but, sometimes, you are just ready to tap again, when the command is executed. The biggest issue I have is when using the Chrome browser. It will start slowing down until it is unusable. Closing Chrome and re-opening or restarting the device will fix it for a little while, but doesn't take long to slow down again. I will need to do more research on possible solutions to this problem. The other features like camera, sound quality, connectivity, etc. all seem pretty good. Screen size and quality is also very good. I would recommend this to a person that was on a budget and wanted a dual sim phone, but, only if you can tolerate some lagginess.

Well what can I say? With this low of a price, you'll get what you paid for. But to be honest, this phone is awesome. I bought this phone for my mom who upgraded from a flip phone to the Honor 5x. When we got to Bestbuy, they didn't have the color my mom want so she bought the black one. Which she is happy with. Let's see whats the pro? The size of the phone, woah compare to my Blackbarry Priv, almost the same! The battery is not bad, in the beginning, my mom charged her phone every three-four days. But once she discovery games, she have to charge it every two days. Which you can't complain because some phones out there, you probably would need to charge it one or two times throughout the day. The camera, 13MP? Woah I was surprise the quality of it. She starting to record and take pictures of almost everything she sees now and send them to my sisters and I. But it's fairly a simple phone with texting and phone calls. I really enjoy the finger print feature because it's easy to use. So far, there's nothing I could complain about with this phone. I wish they had the white one when we were shopping for the phone because that's what my mom wanted. And there were limited cases to select, even online, its hard to find one. If you're looking for a cheap and decent android phone. This phone is the phone to get! Just $200 and it can compare to some of the phones out there, you can't beat the price! I would highly recommend this to people that's low on budget.

photos keep dissapearing and apps going away evry day , too slow on the search and takes a few seconds to register the voice command. also incomig calls cant hear you first 2 seconds, probably the worst phone i have owned...... i have had 10 different phones all lower priced ones...

This phone is absolutely fantastic for $199.99. The 1080p screen is bright and crisp. The aluminum body feels well made and sturdy, and is, at first look, easily visually comparable to phones like HTC M8 or M9. The cameras are above average for the price, and the fingerprint scanner is SUPERB. It is incredibly fast, and can be "programmed" to execute several useful features, such as taking a picture, pulling down the notification shade, etc. It is, hands-down, my favorite feature of the phone. Sadly - the ONE thing I wish this phone had was NFC. I have been using Android Pay recently, and with this excellent fingerprint scanner, would've loved to use Android Pay with it. No luck. The Emotion UI skin that Honor uses is in some ways, a bit like iOS. I've owned iPhones and don't mind iOS. There is no app drawer. People seem to freak out over that - why, I'm not sure. If you want a more traditional "Android UI," download Google Now Launcher or Nova Launcher. Easily worth the money I paid for it. - and in a few ways, comparable to many higher priced phones. After purchase, this has reinforced my belief that most mainstream users (myself included) would be perfectly happy using this phone, saving themselves a lot of money over current flagships. My two most recent phones were an IPhone 6s and a Galaxy S6 Edge. This phone does about 85-95% of what those phones did -- while only being a third of the cost. $$$$$ savings is worth it.
