Given the specs I wasn't expecting blazing speeds but if you have more than 4 apps open given yourself 1 min to switch between apps. And I pray that you never have to deal with Huawei Customer service. Possibly the worst.

We are truly concerned with the situation that you recently encountered with your Honor 6X.
We kindly ask you to follow the steps below.
a) You can clear up the processes that are running on the background. On the home screen click the square button or recent button, swipe upward from the bottom of the screen to clear up all the apps.
b) We kindly suggest you to use the phone manager app. Once you are in the Phone Manager app click "scan" after scanning is completed tap touch to optimize to free al the memory with just one tap. You can also directly tap phone accelerator to close excessive number of backstage operating programs.
c) Lagging device may be caused by insufficient storage space. In the phone manager app tap storage cleaner to scan the storage space. Properly clear up all the trash files can also accelerate the response speed of apps.
d) Upgrade the apps: Some lagging problems in the apps are caused by the abnormality of the apps. In Play Store tap menu Icon and installed, under my apps, once you are in this menu upgrade your apps. uninstalling unused apps will also enhanced running speed.

On your phone please go to PHONE MANAGER and then touch “Battery manager”.
>To optimize the performance: Touch Optimize, here your phone will check for power consumption problems and automatically optimize performance. To further reduce power consumption, see “Optimizable issues”. Select
“View” or “Optimize” to adjust the power settings manually.
> To restrict applications: please touch “Protected apps” and turn off the switch next to the applications that you do not want to run in the background when the screen is locked.
> To Close power-intensive applications: Touch Power usage firewall (power-intensive apps), select the desired applications, and then touch X to close them..
> To view detailed battery usage statistics touch “Power usage details” and touch “Comsuption level” to check which apps are using more battery.

We had only purchase the off brand phones before this one. His only complaint is the phone jack is on the bottom instead of the top, like his old phone. We called the help line to keep his old number and the person was very helpful and we were able to keep his old number. The set up took about 15 minutes and the customer serve guy was great... (AT&T pay as you go)
