I like this phone it's fast and mostly does not make me miss my iPhone.

I read a lot of reviews on the Honor 8 before I purchased it. Mostly very good. I found the phone to be well made. I'm not sure how durable it would be being made of mostly glass. It is very slippery and shows finger prints front and back. Performs very well and has good display. Battery life is very good. I did elect to return it mostly because I am very hard on my phones, I work in the masonry field and was afraid that it would not hold up being mostly glass.

Out of the blue, this Honor 8 shows up while looking at iPhone X videos. It caught my eye because it was the first time I'd seen in depth reviews of Huawei. For the low price, it is an astonishingly brilliant polish and deep luster of which I hadn't seen on any other phone before. Direct comparison to an S7, OnePlus 3T, and iPhone 7 left me really perplexed. The only really weakness is the EMUI 5 OS. It's great for the target but I have come to appreciate Oxygen OS more than any other mobile OS. All in all, I highly recommend this phone. The amazing quality, ease of use, very good camera, nice rich sound, and long lasting battery makes it a win. And then there is the price. Win win.

i have owned Nexus 4 5 and 6 phones. This is very reliable android based phone especially if you download a few apps to replace the stock ones. The battery life is much better than the Google phones for sale imo. The battery life on this phone based on usage with email notification and screen brightness set at 50% gave me 8 hours per full charge. If you make a few simple app download and changes, it makes it a better phone to use. This is what I have done so far: I installed the Google Now Launcher from the Play Store. This is the exact launcher that the stock Nexus devices use Remove Bloatware: Huawei does ship the Honor 8 with a few bloatware apps, such as Booking.com, Facebook, Twitter and Lyft. But you can uninstall the apps you don't use I installed the Google versions of Gmail, Calendar, Clock and Photos to replace the Huawei versions. I change the phone wall paper to a solid color by taking a pic of a counter top. Then crop and edit and set as wallpaper.

The phone itself is beautiful, very responsive and no lag when multitasking. The last star is gone because of the heavy overlay that Huawei has put on top of Android 7.1. the UI is not super intuitive and the aggressive battery saving features used here can interfere with app function and notifications. I spent the first couple of days fiddling with settings to get app notifications working properly, and I still have some lingering issues I'm just having to live with. The good news is that it's all software problems, meaning it's just an update away from being great. Overall, good phone and definitely a great price for what you get here.

I recently purchased this Honor 8 from Best Buy. I have to say that it has met or exceeded my expectations. Very solid phone, with a great screen.(Brilliant color). The main reason I bought this phone was because it had 64gb on board. I won't have to delete files because of updates,as I did with my old 8 gig. Yay! The camera is really nice, too. It has a lot of things to play with, like phones costing twice as much.

This phone is totally worth it and for half of the price of the industry leaders. Don't waste your money on the others.

This is a great phone. I was lucky enough to catch it on sale and I waited just long enough to write a review. Overall the phone is very fast and has been incredibly reliable. The optimization feature really allows you to streamline all background apps when you initiate the phone and during use at the press of a button. This phone has been great as it has a dual SIM to manage both my work and personal life on one device.

This is our second Honor 8 and third Huawei phone. The quality of the product is excellent. Definitely a flagship level device for less than half of the price. Fast processor and 4 GB ram means no lag. 64 GB of storage plus SD card means no running out of space. This is a great phone and a fantastic buy.

I love this phone. It works very quick. Can do everything with it what i want. Is in fact my little computer. It lay nice and easy in my hand. One tip: the phone itself is very slippy so, ask for the translucent case. I did get mine for free with the phone. I came from Samsung Galaxy Note 4... and get now a Huawei Honor 6 cause the new ones were too sophisticated... too much rings and bells... *smile* Yep, i really love my phone.

Based on a week usage, this phone personally impressed more than my S7 and iphone 7. For the price and size of the phone this is one of the best with almost all the features (especially the IR capability) you can think of compared to high end phones. Just one drawback, this phone is extremely slippery and it will scare you of being damaged in every possible angle. This made me to put a tough case and protector which increases the weight and compromised the look.

Still learning this smartphone but it is one of the most amazing out there, and a steal for what it is. Worth looking at the YouTube videos. Camera is 2nd to none and full of amazing settings. Samsung and Apple, you have met your match.

That's my most recent cellphone and it's great. It's processors and ram offers a nice performance. Also it'ss beautiful.

This phone operates smoothly and has a tremendous battery life. One drawback is the placement of the speaker on the bottom, as, when holding it in the right hand, the finger it is resting on often covers the speaker.

Great, best phone I have had. I left iPhone and bought this its very nice heavy in hand beautiful design and sleek. Camera is impressive. Speed is blazing fast.

What a great phone! Great construction. Great response times launching apps. Who knew that a fast fingerprint sensor would make me happy! With the prices of new phones climbing - this is a solid phone to own without feeling like you are compromising!

I normally buy budget phones, I dont take pics and watch videos and listen to music very little bit I do shop online alot. I came across this phone while searching for faster phones and so glad I paid a little more than I usually do. It's so fast when browsing and easy to use. Love this phone.

I am very satisfied with this phone. The set up was very straight forward. I was able to insert my own sim card, move my data over easily. Charges fast. Only complaint is the keyboard sound effects seem to come and go. Overall a great phone.

I bought this phone in August, it was good, and I didn't realize there was a problem with sim card slot 2 at the beginning. After I travel to China and tried to use a second sim card, the slot was not working at all. Either the Chinese sim car or the one from US which was working fine. By the time I discover the problem, 2 months had gone, so I was not able to return the phone. My recommendation is check the phone carefully after you receive it.

A perfect phone for everyone. Love it so much. It works amazingly very quickly. Everything said about this phone is true. Yes.
