Love this watch - so close to a real watch. Bought it after a lot of hesitation and many visits to Best Buy store at Nashua.. I wanted to buy another brand watch for a long time and then realized during a visit to Best Buy on this Huawei option. Works like a charm with my OnePlus Android phone.
The watch faces are a cool feature - I can customize and feel like wearing a new watch each day.. !!! The notifications , the ability to track some of your fitness and activities is a great add .. Allows you to speak and reply to text, WhatsApp messages, lot of voice commands can be done using this..
Worth every penny in my opinion for the features it offers and the price point.

A smart watch that looks like a traditional watch

I've watched reviews of the top 3 smart watches. For me, I wanted one that looked more like a traditional watch than not. That pushed several smart watches out including Apple and pebble. That left me with the motto 360 or the Huawei watch. The biggest thing against the 360 for me wad the flat tire. I just couldn't get past it. I understand why it needed to be there but visually it ribbed the traditional look I was going for.
That said, I needed to see the watch for myself before purchasing. I went to the local best buy Ave compared it against the 360. I liked that it looked like a watch first And was'smart' second. This watch is beautifully crafted. I opted for the leather band and will be picking up other bands latest.
As for the watch faces, there are literally hundreds of choices, both free and paid. So many faces that you could change the look every day for a year without revisiting twice. If anything there are too many. Lol.

I love this watch. It looks elegant and changing watch face is a bonus. I only wish there was a video showing how to use it. I also would want a watch face that shows agenda on it. There may be one but I haven't figured it out yet.

Stunning watch. Best Android Wear available

I originally purchased the Samsung Gear 2 and returned it the following day. Although it was an aesthetically appealing watch, the OS (Tizen) ruined it because of the limited availability of apps. I did a lot of research before making my choice and decided on the Huawei. I have to say, this is an absolutely gorgeous watch. This watch makes full use of the entire screen. There is no waste of space whatsoever with thick bezels or flat tires (black out on the bottom of other round faced watches like the Moto 360). The display is beautiful, the colors are bright, accessibility of apps are simple, Google speech to text works like a charm, the availability of different watch faces makes it customizable, and there are so many different watch bands available for this watch. The body of the watch is incredibly solid and well made. Also, battery life is stellar. I have never had the battery die out on me before I go to bed. There are also several neat features like Theatre Mode that allows you to turn off brightness when at a theater with a simple swipe along with many others that would take way too long to mention here. What I can say is that I have received so many compliments on it and I have to say, they are well deserved because this is indeed a very stunning watch that immediately gets attention. Prior to this, I owned an Apple watch for 2 years and I have absolutely no idea how I even managed after experiencing this watch. There is absolutely no comparison whatsoever. This watch is AMAZING

The best android smartwatch you can buy right now

As the title says, this is the best android wear smartwatch you can get right now. It has every feature you would want and need in a smartwatch and can adequately compete with the apple watch (minus the mobile payments). Along with all the features listed, it's also very durable. I don't know how many times I have banged this watch against something and it doesn't even maintain a scratch. The #1 complaint about this watch is the charger, and they are completely WRONG! It takes ONE, MAX TWO, TRIES to start it charging. I have yet to have a problem trying to charge this watch. Anyways, its just an all around great watch! Stylish and normal looking on the wrist as well!

Fantastic! We're pleased to hear how much you are loving your Huawei Watch. It's great that you are so satisfied with the durability of the watch. That durability comes from the Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the the cold-forged 316L stainless steel casing. (DM)

It's a great watch sofar ..no complaints. As a pregious Gear 2 owner, I would recommend this as a smart watch but not to much as a fitness watch unless you change the bands on it (I have leather band). It's great compliment to my Nexus 6p and will buy it again

I did plenty of review reading and research, and even tried some other android wear devices including the Moto 360 v2 and Sport. The Huawei watch is the best. The combination of classic watch looks, and the future proofing is what sold me. This is one of the few watches with the built in speaker, meaning you can take phone calls on it. One of the useful hardware features in that the included band uses quick release pins, making it easy to swap out different 18mm bands.
The fact that the AW dev preview is available for this watch is promising since its indicative of future software support, and that's important for the longevity of the device.

This watch is just beautiful!! It is very comfortable, and I love not missing phone calls and text messages any longer. I always have my phone on vibrate, because I am in school, and my kids and husband hate when I miss a call or text from them. This watch has made everyone a little more happy!! I am only giving this 4 stars however, because I don't think the watch has enough fitness aspects to it!! I still wear my fitbit charge hr on my other wrist!! I really believe this is the best android wear watch you can get. Beautiful, and it is for sure getting Android wear 2.0 later this year!!

Happy so far! One week in...

This is a bit lengthy. I wanted to cover everything...
I researched this watch vs. the Moto 360 2nd Gen and decided to go with the Huawei due to the full-screen AMOLED display and the removable back in case of future battery replacement option. Also, it reportedly has a speaker for future updates to Android Wear.
I was hesitant to buy a smartwatch and worried I'd regret it. Since I was watch shopping anyway, I am happy I spent the extra money for this watch and don't regret the purchase at all. It's nice seeing who's calling, texts and emails when you don't want to grab the phone from your pocket, console or drawer. Changing faces to suit the mood or occasion is also a nice feature. I totally love it and hope updates bring even more functionality. I am very happy with it after a week of use. It's very nice looking, great display, not too large, and provides the functionality I expected from a current smartwatch.
I have had no problems with connectivity to my HTC Desire phone. Never randomly disconnects and doesn't disconnect easily or quickly when leaving the phone area. In fact, it's only disconnected when I was intentionally leaving the area, and reconnects promptly when returning.
The Huawei tracker seems very high in step count, but surely shows a good picture of a day's physical movement comparing one day to the next. More like an activity score for the day. I hope that future updates will improve the accuracy or allow for sensitivity adjustment. It also offers a handy single activity tracker in addition to the always on daily tracking. Google Fit seems a little more accurate when it's tracking, but it is harder to understand what and when it's tracking on the watch and/or phone. I'm still figuring that out. I have only used the heart rate monitor while my wrist is still, and in that case it seems very accurate with my complexion.
I've downloaded a few apps and lots of faces and most seem to work well.
I don't use always on (Ambient Mode) or the wrist turn detection, just tap to see time and functions when I need them. I turn off the watch while sleeping when it's not charging (approx. every other day). The battery life is great in that case. High use in the first couple days, but lower now that "normal" use is settling in. Perhaps I'll get three days on this latest charge.

Finally: Android Wear without compromise

I loved Android Wear since I first got my LG G Watch, but I didn't care for the style. I wanted something round, something less bulky -- something that looks like a watch! The original Moto 360 overpromised and underdelivered. Its successor fixed most of the flaws, but kept the unsightly flat tire^W^W "display shelf". I didn't care for the markings on the LG G Watch R bezel, and the Urbane was just too chunky -- not to mention, the 3 o'clock button would surely dig into my wrists.
Finally, Huawei nailed the design. The watch looks like a traditional timepiece: watch first, smartwatch second. Everything about this watch is premium, and it looks great with all kinds of wardrobes. It's amazing how much the button adds to Android Wear, too! Especially how much easier Theatre Mode (a.k.a. Putting The Kids To Bed Mode) is to enter and exit.
Battery life is surprisingly solid -- I've had it more than a month, and every night I go to bed with plenty to spare.
One downside is the charger -- it's not detachable, so if any part of it goes, you're out a (ridiculous) $40 for a replacement. That said, I haven't had any problems with it yet. And, it works well: hold the watch above it, and it snaps right into place.
The bottom line is that I had very high expectations -- I've been following this watch since it was announced in March -- and it has actually lived up to the hype. No buyer's remorse -- I'm extremely pleased with this purchase! Definitely worth the wait.

9 days after I got the watch it wouldn't fully reboot. It got stuck on the Marshmallow boot animation until it ran out of battery. This even happened after factory resetting it. I will say it worked great in the time I was able to use it, but no one should pay that much for a device that can't last 2 weeks.

A well built timepiece

The Huawei Watch was built to be a premium timepiece and it succeeds. It's built really well with sapphire glass and beautiful stainless steel. There leather strap is very nice and looks like a real watch strap, unlike the Moto 360's. I actually went to Best Buy to buy the Moto 360v2 and walked out with the Huawei Watch. It's battery lasts me 36 hours easily, so I charge it every other day. It's screen looks great and the amoled is much better than the Moto 360 LCD. The button is clicky and tactile. I get tons of compliments and questions about it.
It does have some negatives though. One, 18mm watch straps on a men's watch is ludicrous. There official Huawei bands are 18mm, but then flair out, for lack of a better term, to 20mm to match the total size of the lug, but you can't find many 3rd party straps that do this. Also Huawei is supposed to be making other straps available, but none are yet and I'm not too confident it will. It's been some time now and they are still not available. One more negative is, the stainless steel seems really soft and it scratches very easily. I already have a deep scratch in one of the lugs and it's very frustrating. I paid $350 for this. I had three original Moto 360 for over a year and it never scratched like this. In fact, I had the black one and it stayed perfect no matter how many times I bumped it.
Anyway, that's my thoughts on this in its first couple weeks. So far, I recommend the watch. Just be careful with it and try not to bump it. If you're on the fence about smart watches, maybe wait one more generation. They're getting better, but still a lot to be desired. I think Android Wear 6.0 will make it a little more functional, but right now it's basically a notification center. I typed this all through the Android app, so if there's typos, or weird autocorrect, I apologize.

I've been wanting a smartwatch on my wrist for quite some time now. I've had a few false starts in watches such as the original Galaxy Gear and several Moto 360 Gen 1's (different styles). For some reason or another, smartwatches have just never felt right. But now comes the Huawei Watch. The gold standard of how a smartwatch should be designed. Made of premium materials and with several style options, the Huawei watch has managed to stay on my wrist beyond Best Buy's 14 day return window. Simply put, I love this watch! It pairs nicely with my Nexus 6P and I just can't keep it off my wrists. The display is the best I've seen on a smartwatch, it has a snappy processor, feels comfortable and looks amazing! Now, I did have a small issue with delayed notifications between my Nexus and watch, however, a quick factory reset on my Nexus and the watch has cleared up any issues. And once Marshmallow makes its way onto the Huawei watch, we're looking at additional neat features such as speaker support to make and take calls! There's no reason to be on the fence about this product. Even if you are, try it out...I guarantee you will not be disappointed...and don't worry about the battery life. I easily get two days out of mine with my display set to always on.

AMoled screen, all day battery life, looks like a real watch, Great materials (Stainless steel and Leather)...No Flat tire!! I dont need an ambient light sensor, maybe some do. Im seeing more and more watches come out with that dang flat tire, Fossil, and now the most recently announced G-Shock smart watch at CES16. Ugh.... Tag Heuer however did not, but who has 1500.00 to blow on a smart watch?
This Huawei Wear watch is just great, I get tons of compliments on it. I just love the deep blacks of the AMOled display, and the 400x400 screen resolution with the highest pixel density of any wear watch. Just makes the colors pop! Sapphire crystal display which is much harder than gorilla glass and tough to scratch makes this a winning watch for me. Especially where I work.
At the end of my day which is between 8:30 and 10. Im putting it on the charger between 40-50% battery left. I consider myself a heavy user, text, emails..and swapping watch faces all the time, plus screen always on (ambient mode) and max brightness. I dont sleep with a watch on so charging it each night is not an issue for me.
My only complaint is that they do not offer this watch with a bigger screen like the Moto 360 which has 2 sizes. I would love this watch more with a 46mm or bigger screen.

I was hesistant to purchase the Huawatch. But I do no regret it. Coming from the Moto360 1st gen.. it is a great improvement to see the battery more than a day even with heavy usage. The amount of faces you can get @ the store is incredible and my collection keeps growing. Looks and feels classy and like a regular watch. Recommended.

I bought one for myself and my wife liked it so much, she got one too. This watch has every available feature available on Android wear right now, as well as a built in speaker for whenever the next version is released. You get a classic looking watch and a 100% round screen (no flat tire like the new moto 360 - the moto 360 also doesn't have a speaker).
The band that comes with it is way more comfortable than any other smartwatch I've tried (1st Gen moto 360, LG g watch, LG g watch r) and is easily changed for another 18mm lug width band. My wife changed hers out for a blue silicon one and it looks right at place on her wrist.
The battery easily lasts through a full day of use and has 30-40% left most days.
It is a great looking smart watch that you will get compliments on even before you explain what it can do. If you are looking for a smart watch, this is the one to get.

I really like my watch. I finally upgraded from Samsung Gear 2 after realizing there wasn't going to be another smartwatch with the same capabilities. I was mainly looking for a watch with both a mic and speaker without paying for a LTE version. This was the only model available that fit that profile. So far I really like the watch. I haven't had any heavy usage since I am only taking 2 classes this summer, but I am most certain come fall semester it will hold up to what I need it to do. I am most looking forward to the Google Hangouts support directly on the watch which is critical for me since I don't get signals in any of the buildings. I have really enjoyed my watch so far, but I do have one HUGE gripe.
The charging puck.
It is horrible. I feel like the chances of it connecting fully on your first try are slim to none. The ability to charge is great, but at what cost? I feel like they could have done a better job with how you charge the device, and although it is an upgrade from the charging dock for a Gear 2, it's not comparable to others on the market now.
All in all, I really like the watch and look forward to seeing other models Huawei may develop.

Set up was simple with my nexus 5x. The amoled screen looks great because any portion of the watch face that is black actually has turned off pixels, In a nutshell you save battery life if you use watch faces that have alot of true toned black in them. Battery lasts me about a day and a half maybe 2 full days if I dont use it much. I start using it around 9am end one day with about 60-70% battery left at 11pm.
Watch is a little pricey but its much cheaper than an apple watch and its much better looking than one. Its a smaller screen than the moto 360 BUT it is a 100% round display. If you want a smart watch that looks like a "real fancy watch" then this is the one to get.

Huawei is a fairly new player in the American market. They make esthetically pleasing phones and this watch follows in the company's footsteps. It's elegantly designed and the leather band gives the feeling of a true timepiece. Accompanied with Android Wear on your iOS or Android device, updates and notifications are just a wrist flick away. One thing I miss from my old LG G Watch was one of the watch faces that just isn't preloaded with this Huawei Watch, nor is it available in the Play Store.
