I thought I wasn't going to like this movie. I am really not into submarines, but I was surprised to find myself first liking and then cheering for the characters. This movie has a well put together story line and keeps you on the edge of your seat to the very end..

A great 2018 take on the classic U.S. vs. Russia submarine movie - this one with a simultaneous ground operation that balances out the underwater scenes well. Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman deliver excellent performances. It's very re-watchable.

This submarine movie is better than U-571, Run Silent, Run Deep, Hunt for Red October. Great movie!

I really enjoy this movie. It's just an entrainment movie, not an academy awards type. If you did enjoy the classic movie The Hunt for Red October. This movie is tensed and suspense. I would like give 5 stars, but I felt it could've done little more better. Watch this movie, it is good not what I expected.

This movie kept me on the edge of my seat! It has a really good storyline along with excellent battle scenes. I purchased the 4K version and it was well worth it! I recommend this title for anyone’s collection. I’ve already watched it a couple of times!

I have to say I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one. I hadn't heard much about it when it released last fall and went in with low expectations. I turned out enjoying the heck out of it and am glad to now have it as part of my home library.

I love action movies and this one has it all it was soo good I almost thought it was based on a true story, Great Plot, excellent action Also I enjoy watching Gerald Butler movies in my opinion he knows how to bring the action to a next step above

Loved Gerard Butler's character! Good old fashioned up through the ranks captain with great political and human instincts. Shows the potential of the US Navy and our great sailors. Lots of action and great human interaction. Great special effects!

Great Navy warfare scenes on submarine and on land. Very exciting movie.

I have waited to watch this movie until it came out on Blu-ray. Great movie. I had it delivered through tha mail, it came to me three days earlier than it was supposed to. Thanks Best Buy!

Action packed, edge of your seat military thriller. Should have been the sequel to Crimson Tide. Excellent movie but it would have been even better if Denzel Washington had played the sub commander and Gene Hackman had played the Rear Admiral

A solid movie with a great sound mix and great visuals, just hoped for more but other than that a solid one with Gerard Butler & Morgan Freeman

An under the radar action film that I found to be quite satisfying! Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this movie, have the DVD, and recommended it to my brother-in-law. They can't do streaming, and don't own a blu-ray, so the DVD is perfect as a gift.

Interesting mix of Hunt for Red October, Olympus Has Fallen in reverse, with a touch of The Sum Of All Fears. IMO it seemed scripted like that intentionally, but no matter,... It still turned out to be a very interesting movie.

So not a plausible storyline, but that is OK. The acting was pretty good, not outstanding. They guy playing the Russian captain was too wooden. BUT it was a good story, with enough action and twists to keep you engaged.

Unexpected delight for all ages to enjoy for any setting
