This is the most realistic submarine movie I've seen in my entire life! I've seen them all... from Run Silent Run Deep to Hunt for Red October.... This one delivers the most realistic experience with what I assume to be state-of-the-art weapons. If you like submarine movies... You'll LOVE this one.

I thought this would be like "The Hunt for Red October," but it's a lot more involved. There are subs, and seals, and admirals, and politicians, and completely current international tensions, leading to the start of WW-III if the good guys on both sides can't manage to tamp down the hawks. A good nail-biter.

One of Gerard Butler's best movies to dat IMO. His character is summoned to command a US nuclear sub that is dispatched to locate and find out why another US sub has gone missing in Russian territorial waters. The intrigue builds when a Russian sub is also discovered to be missing as well.

This movie had an interesting plot, good cast and lots of action. It kept the excitement level up throughout the movie and had a mix of land and sea that was entertaining. There were several nods to other great sub movies while trying to keep it fresh, and the use of modern naval technology was interesting. Overall, pretty good. I enjoyed it and recommend it.

This was a movie that I really think I would care for but saw it at the theater with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The story was good and the storyline kept you on the edge of your seat with what could have been a bad situation if things went wrong. Don’t think you will be disappointed

I saw this movie at the theaters recently, and it was the Hunt for Red October revisited. When it came out on Blu-ray, I rushed over to Best Buy and bought it, and it came with a digital copy, which is now in my VUDU library. If you like a great action thriller pic, this is the one. Thanks Best Buy!

There are few good submarine movies these days so immediately drawn to this one when in theaters. Did not disappoint. The Blu-ray version on a 4 year old Samsung 60" screen looked great. Soundtrack was immersive and extras though not many, were enjoyable additions and added value to the purchase.

I have watched this movie at least 30 times since I bought it. I am a retired sailor who enjoys a good submarine movie. Gil Gerard is great in this movie as Commander Glass. While I am sure people could pick apart the details, I recommend you just sit back and enjoy it. It keeps me entertained.

Great action packed movie. Easy to follow plot. All characterd are believable great acting cast.

Bought on Black Friday: could not get wi-fi in our home, went back to customer service on Tuesday, they also could not log onto their wi-fi and made an appointment for me with GEEKS...he was able to log on and gave me instructions on how to be successful at home. IT WORKED!

Watching the trailer initially had me skeptic that this was going to turn into a terrible "B" movie. Surprisingly, this was a great action movie with slightly serious tones (welcome in my book). Gerard Butler has been in a rough patch lately and I think this is a film to get him out.

Great movie ,great actors, action that makes you move to the edge of your seat. The sound is superb since I have an 7 speaker system with a 400 Watts DLP velodyne woofer what sound. Just when you think the sub is going to be totally destroyed GET THE MOVIE ITS WORTH BUYING IT.

Brought this as a gift however I did previously see this film as it was a great edge of your seat thriller, highly recommended.

I purchased Hunter Killer to see what the movie was like. The price was as expected. Sales rep was very courteous and helpful as I purchased another item. Side note, movie was entertaining, but after spending 10 years in the submarine service, some was very far fetched.

I loved this movie. Not just because Gerard is in it and I love him, but I'm a real military nut. Having served 14 years in the military has left me with a stronger love for military movies. I grew up on them and now continue with this newest one. You're gonna love it!

I thought I wasn't going to like this movie. I am really not into submarines, but I was surprised to find myself first liking and then cheering for the characters. This movie has a well put together story line and keeps you on the edge of your seat to the very end..

A great 2018 take on the classic U.S. vs. Russia submarine movie - this one with a simultaneous ground operation that balances out the underwater scenes well. Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman deliver excellent performances. It's very re-watchable.

I have to say I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one. I hadn't heard much about it when it released last fall and went in with low expectations. I turned out enjoying the heck out of it and am glad to now have it as part of my home library.
