Customers are saying

Customers regard the DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub favorably for its USB-C and other ports, compatibility with various devices, and ease of use due to its magnetic design. Many appreciate its quality and the additional ports it provides, along with its thoughtful design. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit and connection stability, and some reported that the device gets warm during use. The overall user experience appears to be positive, despite some reported drawbacks.

I bought this for my new laptop, which oddly doesn't have a single usb or hdmi port (MacBook Pro). The connection this station creates is SO fragile that ANY slight bump to the laptop disrupts all devices (a 2nd monitor takes the majority of the abuse). The docking station is visibly wobbly with the slightest touch or movement of the laptop. (And, yes, it's plugged in all the way) I'll give it an extra star because it DOES allow me to have a mouse, keyboard, and second monitor, but minus 2 stars because now I can't touch the laptop without risking damage. (perceived damage-- I have no idea what happens inside the laptop every time the docking station gets bumped. And by "bumped" I mean if I touch it gently with a fingertip, turn the laptop to a different angle, or even type on the laptop’s keyboard.) Good thing I can plug in a second keyboard?

It does the job. But in all honesty, I wished I knew there was more cheaper options out there. I bought it on the day i got my Macbook Air..because I had I needed one to use asap! It does good with connection. Sometimes with SD cards, I won't show up on the desktop. Whenever that happens, I just go back and reconnect the hub and see if it's securely in the type c slots.

Great USB-C hub for any Macbook Air or Pro. I been using this one since I purchased it because of it’s convenience but it gets really, REALLY hot sometimes. Whenever I’m doing anything the USB-C hub generates a good amount of heat and gets super hot when I’m editing or gaming. Overall though, I’d say its really good but not perfect.

Came recommended by the official Geek helping me with new laptop and accessories. Fits very snug so no sense of cords wobbling. I have not gotten very adept at inserting it yet so it is a little awkward. You do have to remember to take it out if you want to close your laptop. It comes with a sleek little case so that is helpful.

Seems large in size and is awkward to have on the side of the computer. Extra charge to accommodate USB and HDMI ports. Biggest disappointment about my new very expensive macbook pro. I know most people use the trackpad, but I prefer using a mouse. Plus this is the only way to download pictures from a flash drive.

Great product, matches the space grey of the MacBook perfectly. However, because of that little black stabilizer, the product does not fit in very securely. It is not really an issue if you are just keeping it on the desk, but if you're trying to move around your Mac or disconnect ports, it will likely come out.

I caught this on sale for $70. It is a great purchase. I use it on my MacBook Pro. I love that it allows me to chargey MacBook while also using a USB-C adaptor that holds more SD and micros SD cards. At the same time this drive allows me to put a SD and mini SD into it + a USB external drive. Highly recommend. I love the magnetic strip that comes with it. It makes the drive to feel more attached. Warning though: you can't close your MacBook pro all the way down when you use the magnetic holding strip.
