Just received this hub today, and I tested it out by connecting my external monitor to the hub via the HDMI port. The monitor worked great. I was happy. Then when disconnecting the HDMI cable from the hub, the top, plastic end cap of the hub came off along with the HDMI cable. The end cap appeared to be broken. I suspect it was previously broken. If not, it broke by simply pulling out the HDMI cable on the first use. Either way, I think it is poor quality - I was under the impression the entire hub was aluminum.

It works nicely for what it does. I like that it’s a cable instead of being attached along the side of the Mac Pro. Unfortunately I received a cracked one. So had to send it back and now it’s out of stock completely. Guess I gotta find something else.

I have purchased multiple of these little guys and they are great. They don't break, and they are light weight. The cable is durable and withstands the beat-up of being in my backpack.

There are cheaper options however this one looks way better and feels like quality not a plastic waste of money, so i'd rather pay the extra for this.

My son truly needed this for his Mac book. Unfortunately Apple products dont give you everything you need

This product, and many like it, were brands from China. I have nothing against Chinese companies making products, but I would have liked to see a few more brand names that I have seen before and that I trust inside of the store. But the product works great and is made out of metal, which I thought is cool!

worse product ever. it stops to work, heating problem and did not show external hard drive and later does not working with HDMI cable after a week and try to return in 16th day of delivery they best buy did not accept and I called to HyperDrive customer service they said they did not sell to me. BestBuy did not accept return and Hyper did not sold to me guess what I west my money.....

I have always disconnect it I disconnect it with iPhone, I can’t just keep it plug in with MacBook and make MacBook recognize iPhone via it. I have plug out then plug in the it’ll work

This item is small and portable. If you run an HDMI through it the product heats up. It’s hot so you shouldn’t leave it turned on/in use while away for extended times. (just to prevent fires). The product is good, it works, etc, $60 is a little expensive for a small adapter, but there weren’t many other reliable cheap ones available. The product’s cable and ports are also tough, meaning you need to pull the cable and cables in the ports out. This may be because the product is very new. If it doesn’t change, eventually the cables may need to be replaced due to the stretch given to them from yanking.
