Customers enjoy the Alloy FPS keyboard's high-quality build, responsive and satisfying key feel, and the clicky nature of the Cherry MX Blue switches. The inclusion of a convenient USB port for charging devices is also a frequently praised feature, along with the ease of use and overall value for the price.

I'm happy with this keyboard, the different lights configurations make you feel that you are using a different keyboard when you are tired of the same, I grew up using mechanical keyboards, so this for me is wonderful.

Great blue switch keyboard

This keyboard replaces one with Cherry MX red switches. I love the substantial build - it’s solid, heavy, and the rubber feet ensure it won’t move on the desktop. The Cherry MX blue switches have s distinctly different feel than the reds. I use the keyboard for typing (I am not a gamer) and I appreciate the tactile feedback (the click) and the additional pressure it takes to actuate the switch. Red switches are softer and less tactile - and less noisy. But, I like the noisy, clicky keys. The increased pressure helps my typing accuracy too. The red backlight is a neat touch as is the additional USB port on the keyboard - note that in order to use it there is a second usb plug at the end of the braided cord so you have to have two available USB ports to use it. I do and it is VERY convenient.

it has everything I needed to sneak a professional keyboard into a workplace. small size, simple design for minimum theft risk, very clicky on the switches I got to annoy my neighbors and no software required or needed. in a word, solid. in three, it is solid. can't go wrong but not many bells or whistles (but who buys keyboards based on decoration anyways?)

I switched from a membrane k55 to this keyboard and it's phenomenal. I love the tactile feel of the switches and the solid red is just enough light but not enough to be extra flashy. The frame adds a great heft to it and none of the parts feel cheaply made. My only issue is that I grabbed the wrong switches, these cherry blues are very loud which I didn't notice till I took my headset off. Other than that, it's a great keyboard and the extra USB port on it is a nice plus.

I'm admittedly not an expert when it comes to mechanical keyboards, but I've really enjoyed this one. The red backlight is a nice touch and matches my case, but what i really enjoy is how easy it is to type and how responsive the keys are when i'm gaming.

My main focus when buying this keyboard was an interest in getting one with the "click-y" mechanical key-switches like the original IBM PC keyboard used to have. No matter what else I type on, I still prefer the feel of those old style key-switches, even though they're a bit too loud to type on in an office environment. IMO, they're perfect to use with a gaming computer in a home setting.
The HyperX has a good, solid frame and the keys deliver the promised feel. The slip-cover carrying bag for it was a nice touch, too, for gaming on the go.
I compared the HyperX to several competitors on the shelf, and felt like nobody else was offering anything noticeably better. The one thing you don't really get with this keyboard are multi-color LED backlights. It has several programmable lighting behaviors, but everything is done only in red LED lighting. For people like my kids, that's a "deal breaker" because they're big on having the rainbow of colors. Personally, I don't like things that flashy and sometimes use this keyboard with the back-lighting disabled completely.

I am really enjoying this gaming keyboard. The mechanical keys have a great feel and the red backlighting is customizable for individual satisfaction. All this at a great value, $50.

This is an excellent keyboard. I use it daily for work, and it performs very well while looking sleek.
The keys being raised above the surface of the keyboard body, instead of lowered into a tray, makes it easy to clean with a simple blast of electronics-safe canned air, and the key backlighting is understated but looks very sharp.
The keyboard has no issues charging devices through the available USB port, and the connection to the computer is detachable so it is easy to store the keyboard safely in a locked drawer at one's work environment, or to disconnect the keyboard from your system for cleaning.
All around, 10/10, would buy again.

It fits so well on my narrow desk. It comes with detachable braided cable, steel theme WASD keycaps that are slightly taller than others so I will never get lost, additional USB port for juicing phone, etc. Cherry MX blue offers very satisfying type experience. Absolutely love this.

I picked this keyboard due to cost and the clicky Cherry MX Blue keys. It has a a metal baseboard, the keys feel durable and it has a few different light pattern/brightness settings for the key lights depending on how flashy you wanted it to be. It does have an extra set of WASD keys so you can replace it when it does wear out and a USB charging port (charge only, no data) on the keyboard to charge stuff. All in all I'm pretty impressed by it for the price.

A great keyboard - but a LOUD one.

I bought this keyboard about 6 months ago to use at work, wanting a mechanical keyboard that could keep up with my typing speed and the demands of my job in medical billing, a role that sees me making very heavy use of a keyboard. The Alloy does that and does it with aplomb, and with the backlight disabled it looks eminently professional on my desk. What made me mothball the Alloy was how LOUD it is.
I love the Cherry MX Blue switch and I even have a soft spot for the cheap Chinese knockoff variants of it. The Blue is a fantastic keyswitch and if I weren't chained to a phone at the office nowadays, I'd use it without a second thought. But the patented "machine gun fire" sound the Alloy makes at full tilt (I type at 100 wpm), combined with the fairly slick feel of the keycaps, convinced me to swap out the Alloy for a quieter keyboard.
The red LEDs look great and the flashing light patterns are a neat, if garish, addition. I find any mechanical keyboard to be kinder to my carpal tunnel syndrome than the so-called "ergonomic" keyboards, so if that's an issue for you, this may be a good option. I just can't recommend taking the Alloy to work with you unless you work in an office rather than a cube farm, unless you don't get one with the MX Blues in it.

Very nice keyboard if you arent looking for any frills. The blues are rather loud, but give a nice tactile feel making typing a really nice experience. Gaming is solid as well, but might give finger fatigue after a while due to the actuation point. I found them to be perfect for my needs. Well built as well. There is a successor coming out in a couple of weeks that adds a few new welcome features, including dedicated media controls, volume wheel, and a wrist rest. Hope Best Buy carries it!

I purchased the hyperx MX cherry blue keyboard and love the clicky keys. I use brown keys at work because they aren’t as loud but the clicky tactile feedback of the blues can’t be beat. Feels like a solid keyboard. It’s literally the size of a full size keyboard - no extra fluff around the perimeter. I personally prefer the minimalist profile.

Really love the blue clicky switches. Since I use this for a lot of typing, I decided to go with the blues over the Reds. I do wish there was a brown switch version which would've been perfect for my situation. The build quality is solid, cables are high quality as well. No issues detected so far.

An alright product for the price, although the first unit I purchased was faulty. Easy return and the second one I received was great, and I love the mechanical clicks of the MX blues.
