I have owned many headsets, and this is one of the worst for gaming I have ever used. You are forced to use the BETA software and most of the features do not yet work. In the PUBG GAME directional ability is horrible. You cannot tell where the gunshots are coming from. Potential is there, but should not have been released until the software was ready. The other cheaper versions work well.

Having the "dongle" also be the controls is great. When in a game or a meeting, a cough button is great to have quick access to. Trying to find the button on the back of a headset is almost a game in and of itself. When using the contols, the mute etc only work for the PC attached to the controls. If you have both BT and dongle in use (this is a setting from the headset a switch on the right earpiece) mute on the dongle/controller does not mute the BT connection. The sound is very immersive. I would not call it noise cancelling, but tyou definitely drown out the surrounding sound. The mic works extremely well. Background noise is at a extreme minimum if it can be heard at all. My dogs no longer show up in the group chat. One odd thing, it a Teams chat you get multiple devices with the controller acting as the dongle. One shows as game and the other as wireless chat. One drawback. The software NGENUITY is wonky at best giving no real controls for the headset. Auto shutoff is nice until it isn't. It takes a few seconds to power up the headset. Wireless range is pretty solid for both BT and dongle. Somewhere near 30 feet through walls each. Battery is completely insane. Almost 250 hours of battery life. I used all day for work, only 3 hour long meetings, and the headset is still reporting at 100%. Overall, this is a fantastic and very comfortable headset. Sound is excellent and controls are intuitive. Software in wonky, but that can be fixed with an update.

Hyperx Cloud Alpha 2 wireless headset is definetly the headset I've been looking for for a while? It includes a customizable RGB base station that makes it easy to control headset functions, volumes, and gameplay. The headset boasts an immersive sound quality that puts you into the game. Very deep bass and extreme highs. The sound is achieved by multi-layer dual-chamber drivers. You have two options for the mic: a boom mic and also very good internal mics built into the headset that pick up voice just as well. The headset is also capable of dual simultaneous wired connection to the hub and Bluetooth. I'm an intense gamer, and this one lasts about 250 hours on a single charge, as stated, but I haven't played that long on it yet. I've been using it on the PS5, but it also works well on PC and Xbox. There are volume controls on the headset, but you'll love the control from The Hub. Everything you need is inside: a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a 3.5 mm headset, your cable, and a quick start guide. If you're looking for a very good and comfortable headset, check this one out. You won't be disappointed.

That Cloud Alpha 2 headset has the makings of a great headset, with features that rival more expensive headsets. Unfortunately, the Windows app makes it a frustrating experience that has me reaching for other headsets over this one. Features and confirm wise, the Cloud Alpha 2 headset is very good. In particular, the control unit is amazing. Being able to very quickly tweak the levels is something that I've always wanted to be about to do, and this control unit makes that a reality. The fact that the headset also supports two volume levels (one for chat, one for game) is also a phenomenal feature. Anyone that plays games with their friends and struggles with either hearing chat consistently or hearing the game can understand just how amazing this feature is, and being able to change the levels on the fly is awesome. Beyond the feature set, the headset is also very comfortable. Even after multiple hours long gaming sessions I didn't notice any discomfort with this headset. And it sounds great while doing it, too. Sound quality here is equally good and makes not only gaming but content consumption an enjoyable experience. All the positive aside, the app is ultimately what kills it for me with this headset. To start, I was unable to get it to update the firmware. I tried multiple times, multiple ways and never ended up getting past the control unit update phase that would timeout with an "update failed" error. The control software on the version I have frankly doesn't work that well either. The level sliders aren't responsive with the headset, and setting routinely seen out of sync. I could assume most of these app issues would be resolved with a firmware update, but without a wait to actually do it, I can't know for sure. One other issue with the Cloud Alpha 2 is that the mic quality isn't very good. In contrast to the sound quality of the speakers, the mic sounds very low fidelity which is a disappointment. Coming from the Bose Gaming Headset, which conversely has an immensely high quality microphone, it was immediately obvious to me and my gaming partners that the Cloud Alpha 2 was a major downgrade. This has been the case for a lot of headsets, and I was hopeful this one would hold a candle in terms of mic quality but it unfortunately does not. Overall, I've been sadly disappointed with my experience with the Cloud Alpha 2s. Great sound quality, a comfortable fit, and a stellar control unit are all tainted by an app that doesn't work and a mic that isn't very hi fidelity. I wanted to like these but I'll ultimately be reaching for something else on my next gaming session

The HyperX Cloud alpha 2 wireless gaming headset have been a great addition. They are simple to use, and install. They feel like a very solid build, have the weight and fit very comfortably. The mic can sometimes get in the way because it sticks out like a sore thumb but overall, it is a very well-built headset. It comes with everything needed including a small carrying bag. The controller may seem like just an extra thing, but it looks cool. The sound quality is nice you get a clean crips sound plus the bass makes everything better. You are able to enjoy them for your everyday gaming and also to connect via Bluetooth to your phone to just listen to some good music. The over the ear fitment feels very comfortable. The cushion around the ears and even over the head make them feel so comfortable that you can wear them for hours. The design is just simple and elegant, nothing too flashy and not many things hanging out like other devices. Overall, i would highly recommend this headset if you are in the market to find a new replacement or just to have an extra one.

The sound quality on these headphones is pretty good. These headphones definitely meet all the audio requirements that any gamer would have: good sound quality, a quick way to mute/unmute, and more. However, there are a few areas where I think these headphones can be improved. Firstly, every time I mute or unmute myself using the controls on the headphone or the included base, I get a loud robotic message telling me that I muted/unmuted the microphone. I could not find a way to turn it off using HyperX's NGENUITY software, which is quite annoying. Secondly, the included Base Station is cool and all, but the engineers could have done more with it. For instance, it could have doubled as a headset holder. Also, you can only change the volume level(s) using the Base Station or the headphones themselves; the volume controls in Windows do not work. I think this is quite an unnecessary limitation that makes my keyboard's volume controls obsolete. I have used headphones in the past that sync up their volume controls with Windows' controls. Thirdly, during the first few weeks that I was using these, they would often randomly stop working, prompting me to unplug and replug them. I would also get a notification telling me that the last USB device malfunctioned. Thinking it to be a defect with my specific unit, I did attempt to contact HyperX regarding this issue, but I received no response. As of now, the issue appears to have fixed itself. Overall, I'd recommend these headphones to anyone looking for headphones with decent sound quality and a cool-looking base station.

They are so quality when wearing them and the sound is pretty good only complaint is that connecting got the Xbox isn’t so easy to do. You have to connect them using the 3.5 millimeter wire and connect the headphones to the controller which completely cuts out the bass station. Honestly this is Xbox for making it compatible for these devices and disappoints me that the new generations of Xbox do not have some sort of Bluetooth connection. Never the less the headset and bass station are highly recommended and worth a try

Very nice, comfy set THE GOOD ~ Extremely comfortable ~ Excellent sound quality ~ Good mic ~ USB-C charging ~ Volume can be changed on headset or with dial on pad ~ Can be used wirelessly or wired ~ Good range ~ Easy sert up ~ Comes with a soft case ~ Cool RGB pad ~ Comes with any cable you can need to use it to its fullest capabilities ~ Detachable Mic THE BAD I haven't found anything I don't LIKE yet THE MEH (Could go either way) ~The mic is good, but moves easily if you bump it OVERALL I have an older pair of HyperX headphones, so I was anxious to try these out. Setup was a breeze. It helps that everything you could need is included in the box, including an aux cable (if you want to use it wired), a USB-C to USB-C and a USB-A to USB-C Cable. The ear muffs are well cushioned and block out ambient noise very well. Beyond that, there is a lot of padding on the cross bar between them, so these headphones are extremely comfortable. I played my videogames and listened to music through them. The sound quality is excellent. The control pad is a nice touch. It makes changing volume easy. It also has other default buttons like mic gain and balance of chat/game. You can change these if you want. If you're a gamer that likes to hang out and play at friends' houses, this also comes with a soft case to carry them over there. A nice touch. Really, I found nothing to dislike about these. If you're a gamer or looking for a gift for gamer, these are an excellent choice. They're a little pricier than what you might get at a bargain store, but they are worth it. THE BIG QUESTION: Would I recommend these to others, espcially gamers or students who like to listen to music while studying? Absolutely!

Although quite expensive, these headphones have been great so far! Awesome battery life, EQ, and quality of life features and settings that are plug and play right out of the box with the included USB Docking station. The docking station is what sets this apart from the last model. On PC you can adjust the balance between party chat and game audio, you can enable mic monitoring, you can mute input and output via the attached microphone as well!

Sound quality is great and they fell comfortable on the head. I’m really loving these so far!
