These headphones look very premium. The casing has this no-scratch surface, especially on the top which has the most external exposure. It is mainly plastic but the fittings and finish are very clean and durable. Even the steel slider looks good. The leatherette cushions and head-top cushion is quite soft. I find them very comfortable but it does tend to get a little warm. The buttons are responsive and the rest of the details are pretty well-built. Even the volume wheel has this consistent feedback that helps with adjusting volume on the fly. The cup casings can be easily taken out, and it stays in place when it needs to. The RGB comes out nicely on the covers but I think you can customize yours too if you find replacement cup covers. The connectivity is great. First of all, I can connect It to many devices, especially that it has the dongle so I can connect it to PS5, PC and my switch. The dongle, which I always prefer, is great because you have the USB A adapter, so I can do it anywhere, not to mention Bluetooth which is good for my tablet. The dongle though is very stable as I can go far from my machine without It disconnecting or degrading the signal. It comes with a detachable mic, but oddly, it also has an internal mic. For me, the internal mic makes me sound wider than the detacheable mic, so I prefer using the internal mic. The boom mic makes me sound like I am in a very secluded room, but it is clean. The Ngenuity software is like most other peripheral software and like others, the customizations are great. It is not exceptional but it is very functional. I did play around with EQ because these headphones sound so clear that I hear some static before the sound clips at the end. And it is not the source because I hear it across consoles and sources and it also happens on both Bluetooth and dongle-- so I had to tweak the crisp sound so I don’t hear that end tick that happens every so often. It sounds wide so the bass matches the crispiness of the sound. But if you are very particular about the cleanliness of the audio, you will want to consider using the EQ to control that end clip roughness. These are pretty good headphones. Is there anything exceptional? No. But across the board, this is what most people will want in their gaming headphones—because these headphones are equipped with what almost everyone will need, so you can easily make it your own. Use the EQ, use it on any of your devices, use it for a long time (the battery is great by the way), make it fit you, And I think this is its winning formula.

The Hyper X Cloud Flight 2 Headset works fantastically with both the PS5, a Mac or a PC. It has a wireless dongle that has an adapter to support both USB-A or USB-C depending on your preference, always ensuring you can use your preferred port. I find it works just fine via Bluetooth though and is easy to pair. It's also very easy to switch between Bluetooth and Wireless mode. The sound quality is fantastic, it provides a very good and immersive surround sound. It says it supports a wired mode as well but I haven't noticed any log when using a wireless or Bluetooth connection. The microphone is also removable so it can easily double as a music or video content headset with a mobile device or computer. The microphone itself is also adjustable when attached and is really easy to adjust - folks tell me that they can also hear my crystal clear on their end. The memory foam pads are super comfortable and have worked great for long gaming sessions. It also boasts a 150 hour battery life but I've probably used it for roughly half that so far and have seen no signs of needing to recharge. Combine that with swappable magnetic side plates that light up when in use and an easy adjustable head band for different users (I have a fairly large head and it still fits great), it's an all around perfect gaming headset.

Really professional quality sound and design. The best two things about it in my experience were --- the really comfy over ear cushions and feel, as well as the super long battery life. Also, the microphone is detachable ---- genius! It also these to also be used at the gym as over ear headphones as well. Also, the RGM panels are customizable, which I always find as the gamechanger because I can give it a unique look. I was also worried about the wireless range because in the past it has been very limited --- with these however, I can move about the room, even visit the restroom next door with little to no disruption on my game or comms. The big winner for me is the battery life though! I only need to charge it like once every other week, and this is using it everyday! There is also a usb-c dongle and usb-a adapter included which make it a true plug-n-play across whatever platforms it is being used for. The adaptability, the customization options, the amazing comfort design, and the ease of use for these really make them a winner and worth the price tag.

This headset did not get very loud at max volume on PS5 (both system and headset volume all the way up), and the sound wasn't all that clear or great for COD (fps). I honestly did not like this headset much at all and could not continue testing it for very long after initial use. Comfort was ok, I guess.

The Cloud Flight 2 is the second headset I've reviewed from HyperX and I believe the 4th accessory I've used of theirs overall. The first few HyperX accessories I used I came away surprised, and by now I can't say that I'm surprised anymore - they just make really good stuff. The Cloud Flight 2 is a very comfortable gaming headset with some thoughtful features included that make it a great choice for multi-platform gaming. The Cloud Flight 2 is advertised as having 100 hours of battery life, and I found that after about 4 days of using it for work and then gaming at night I only charged it because I felt like I should - and that was after it arrived at half charge. #Unboxing and first impressions# While the Cloud Flight 2 is neither an ultra-premium headset nor budget headset in terms of price, the packaging was nicely done and made this feel much nicer than budget headsets. There were no plastic inserts and a minimal amount of plastic stuck to the actual headset. HyperX seems to have figured out exactly what parts of the headset will rub on the packaging and only applied plastic film to those spots, which is amazing in my opinion. I especially liked that the box has a little pouch built into it for holding the manuals. The Cloud Flight 2 is hopping on the new trend of offering replaceable magnetic plates on the ear cups. I was unable to find additional plates for sale just yet, but notably with this being an RGB headset there will be an extra element to these swappable plates in terms of colored lighting shining through. #Using the Cloud Flight 2# The Cloud Flight 2 was easy to set up on my PC and PS5. HyperX have included their 2.4Ghz dongle and made it USB-C native now with an included USB-A adapter for easy use with most PCs. The fact that it's USB-C natively means it's easy to stick into one of the front ports on my PS5 Pro. On PC, I already had Ngenuity installed which works well for the new headset, though the Beta version is really what you want thanks to the AI noise cancellation for the microphone in the new app. One thing I liked especially is that you can save a light profile to the headset, which in my case means turning the LEDs off entirely so they aren't shining away when I'm not gaming. I got several compliments on the quality of the microphone with the Cloud Flight 2. The only thing I wish that it had was a way to do noise cancellation for the mic without using the Ngenuity software, but it's still a marked improvement over a budget headset. Listening sound quality for gaming and movies is fantastic, and the latest Ngenuity gives you options for up to 12 speaker virtual surround effects. For music, there's a bit of distortion at the lower frequencies that can be helped somewhat by the EQ settings in the Ngenuity app, but I left it as is since it has good bass for gaming. The headset has a reasable number of controls via buttons and switches. You can fully detach the microphone, or mute it with a button press. The mic doesn't flip up at all (though it does bend and retain its shape well) - it just mutes via the button on the left earcup. The mic has an LED near the end that glows red to let you know you're on mute. There's also a switch to go back and forth between the dongle and bluetooth wireless. #Final thoughts# I really like the Cloud Flight 2. I'm particularly happy that HyperX have transitioned to a USB-C based dongle that's much easier to use with my PS5. I think this is a great step up from budget headsets, without getting into features that most gamers won't need like active noise cancellation. You can detach the mic from the headset and use it as standard bluetooth headphones while on the go - while still being able to take calls thanks to the internal mic on the headset. Overall, this is a very good value for a headset that performs very well.

The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a solid choice for a gaming and general-use headset. It is intended to be used with PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Mobile, and Bluetooth. The RF dongle is USB-C, but comes with a USB-A adapter. The headphones also charge via USB-C (with included cable). The unit includes bluetooth and can by synced to a great variety of sources via that option. Everything worked immediately as expected using both bluetooth and RF connections. There is a sliding switch on the right headphone enabling you to switch between either mode. The first time you choose the bluetooth option it comes up ready to pair. After that, you need to press and hold both the power and multifunction buttons to enter pairing mode. Personally, I wish there were a dedicated button for bluetooth pairing (a minor issue). The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 includes RGB lights on the outside of the headphones which can be customized as desired. They include covers with a stylized HX showing the color beneath - or you can easily remove the covers to reveal a large RGB light in whatever color you choose. Thankfully, since I’m not one who thinks of my headphones as a fashion statement, you can simply switch the lights off (which will also increase battery life). So what do I think so far? The sound is great and the spatial placing of audio while gaming is excellent. The comfort factor grew on me. The HyperX has a slight slant to the phones in relation to the headband (which is made of rigid steel). This took a little time to get used to, but afterwards was unnoticeable. They are slightly heavier than other similar headsets I’ve used, probably due to the steel in the headband and the lights on the phones. Though the steel gives a feeling of strength, I’d probably trade that for durable plastic if given the choice. As with any full-function headphones, it takes awhile to get used to where the buttons and controls are so that you can use them without taking the headset off. That’s normal. I also like the multi functionality of these phones so I can use them for entertainment and listening - as well as for gaming. The HyperX comes with both an attachable mic for gaming and a built-in mic as well (phone calls?). You can easily switch between RF and Bluetooth modes. Nice. The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a solid choice for both gaming and entertainment.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless headset is a fantastic option for an everyday, easy listening, "everything" headphone. I found the headset to be fairly comfortable and only experienced a mild hotshot after extended usage sessions. I do have a slightly larger than average head so this may not be an issue for most people or younger users. The earcups are large enough fully surround my ears and the cushions are plush and comfortable. I appreciate the option of using the included boom mic or going for a sleaker package and opting for the built-in mic. Both options sound surprisingly good with the boom mic offer noticeably better voice isolation. The sound signature of this headset definitely leans towards bass heavy. While the bass and lower mids are more prevalent they are not muddy or overbearing. For music this adds a fullness to the bottom end and does leave a bit to be desired in the details of the treble region. That said, it makes them extremely easy to listen to for extended periods without hearing fatigue and fun for songs that feature a lot of bass. For gaming, this makes for a very enveloping and immersive soundscape best suited for adventure or story driven games. They are very usable for FPS but due to the rolled off treble, footsteps are not as forward as most would like. Both Bluetooth and wireless modes have great connectivity and neither has any lip sync issues while watching videos. Using the included USB C dongle definitely cuts down on latency and offers a higher fidelity overall. If you're looking for one headset to do everything this could be a great pick. Bluetooth and removed mic for your phone on the go or 2.4/USB with a boom mic for gaming sessions when needed.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless gaming headphones are a solid entry level gaming headphone set that will not break the bank. Not only do they produce good sound, they include most of the premium features you will see in some of the high end products from other brands. I’ll go over all this in this review. First off, the headphones feel substantial. No overuse of plastic and cheap parts. They adjusted to my big head well and they are comfortable over my ears without being too tight. I feel like they use some sort of memory foam as the cups mold to my head well. When trying them out, at one point I wore them for about 90 minutes and I had zero issues. The cups boast 50mm drivers that put out sound with depth. I’m not an audiophile, but they sound excellent. From the bass to the highs, I didn’t experience any issues with distortion. The headphones connect via Bluetooth just like anything else, or you can use the 2.4 GHz wireless option. It also works directly either Omen gaming laptops with no additional dongle required. Of course you have to consider the mic options for the headset right? You can go bare with the internal mic integrated into the headphones. It works well and for basic conversations. I feel it fits the mold. But I. The heat of battle you can use the detachable mic and it’s way more sensitive and precise. Toggling between the two mics gives you an audible notification, which is is also seen via the LED indicator. This headset is not limited to one platform. Often times you look and headphones and you have to pick between which set fits the gaming system you play. Here it’s cross compatible and you don’t have to worry about that. So what about battery life? Try 100 hours. Since we only get 24 hours in a day I think we are set on that point right? Plenty of time to play and you won’t have to charge that often. Win win. At the end of the day, you get a lot of bang for your buck here and I’d highly recommend these to anyone looking as a solid entry level headset. They perform far above my expectations and far beyond what I thought I’d get at the price point. I highly recommend these headphones, and I thank you for taking the time to read this review. Hope it helped you with your decision.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless headset feels like a solid step forward from the original, but it’s not just a “slap a 2 on the box” kind of refresh. First thing I noticed: comfort. The earcups are plush without being sweaty, and the clamping force is balanced enough that I can wear them through a long PC session or a late-night PS run without feeling like my head’s in a vice. Sound-wise, it’s tuned for gaming—bass has punch without drowning out mids, and directional audio is clear enough that I can pick out footsteps in shooters without cranking the volume. The detachable mic is serviceable, not studio-grade, but it gets the job done for party chat and Discord without distortion. Battery life is where HyperX flexes. I’m consistently getting close to the advertised 100 hours, which means I’m charging this thing way less than my other wireless gear. The 2.4GHz connection is rock solid—no random dropouts, no lag spikes. On PC, the NGENUITY beta software adds some customization, but it’s still rough around the edges. EQ presets are fine, but the interface feels half-baked, like HyperX is still figuring out how much control they want to give users. I’d love to see more granular options, especially for mic monitoring and per-game profiles. On PlayStation, you don’t get that software layer, but the headset still performs consistently—plug in the dongle and you’re good to go. Overall, the Cloud Flight 2 nails the essentials: comfort, battery, and reliable wireless. It’s not trying to be a flashy RGB monster or an audiophile’s dream—it’s a dependable daily driver. For me, it’s the kind of headset I can trust to just work, whether I’m grinding ranked matches on PC or kicking back with a PS campaign. If HyperX tightens up NGENUITY, this headset could easily move from “great” to “must-have."

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 hits all the marks for a great wireless gaming headset and the comfort definitely stands out. The ear cushions feel soft, the clamp pressure is light, and the headset stays comfortable even during long sessions. It’s the kind of fit you forget you’re wearing. Sound quality is excellent for both gaming and everyday use. The audio is clean and well-balanced, with enough low-end to add impact without muddying the mids or highs. Directional cues in games come through clearly, which helps with immersion and awareness. The mic quality is solid too. Voice chat sounds clear and natural, without the muffled or compressed tone that some wireless headsets struggle with. Most importantly my friends on don't complain about my voice quality on Discord. Battery life is one of the biggest strengths. The Cloud Flight 2 easily lasts through multiple gaming sessions without needing to recharge, so you can go days before thinking about plugging it in. Wireless performance stays stable, with no noticeable lag or dropouts. If you want a headset that’s comfortable, sounds great, and keeps going for the long haul, the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 is an easy recommendation.

I must say that the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset made one heck of a Christmas gift! It paired well with anything we threw at it, although it's primary use will be with an Android phone. The headset itself feels very comfortable on the head, leaving me with no concerns of it being worn for several hours at a time. I actually considered grabbing a second one to use in my work from home call center job. The audio into the speakers is about the same with Bluetooth and USB connections. Wired is still the best, but the freedom to move around certainly takes precedence here. Input levels were received well from people on the other end of the chats. Praise at the fidelity of the speech was a common theme. I rather like the design itself. Nothing really sticking out to get caught on things. I've had it before where a volume knob is in a poorly designed location and you catch it on something turning your head. As always, I'm comfortable with the HyperX brand. I know that if I run into issues, I can reach out and get it fixed.

The holidays are just around the corner. Don't get caught without a gift for the gamer in your family. The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a great gift idea for your child. For the price point, you get really good audio quality. As for the microphone, I used the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset with my PS5 and no one complained about not being able to hear what I said during online play. The HyperX headset is comfortable around my ears and very lightweight. The ear pads are pretty soft and tolerable for long gaming sessions. Another great feature for a pretty decent price point is the RGB lighting. The lighting is easily customizable so that you, or your little gamer, can match the layout of their room/environment. As for the battery life, you can't really expect the advertised 100 hours because that is most likely done in drastically different, and conservative, settings. I was able to get about three or so days of game-play at around five hours per day. But of course I had the lights and all of the bells and whistles going on. Overall, the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset makes for a great gift this holiday season.
