Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

Best Bang For Your Buck Headset!

I did an extensive amount of web browsing, reading reviews online, and watching YouTube videos on what headsets would give me the best audio quality and "bang for my buck" in terms of audio quality for games, movies, and music. I finally came across this wonderful headset for $100 and have to say that they give you audio quality and have build construction similar to headphones at double their price point.
The cloud 2's are made with brushed aluminum so they are very solid yet somewhat flexible, they have faux leather earcups and headband which makes them extremely comfortable for playing games or watching movies for hours on end. They also come with a detachable microphone, an extra set of earcups made out of cloth fabric, a USB dongle for 7.1 virtual surround sound, a small audio adapter for airplane use and a mesh carrying bag to house all of the accessories and the headphones themselves.
They work beautifully on PC, PS4, and XBOX ONE. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a high quality and comfortable set of headphones for gaming or other activities as the sound quality is really as close to high end headphones as you can get for this price point. Please be aware that these are WIRED headphones not wireless, therefore you will never have to charge them but will have a fairly short cable which I found great for taking on the go to use these headphones on my iPod or laptop on the go at work and in college.

These are supreme! They feel like music headphones. Other brands just don’t get it for some reason. Sure Astro has better sound but they feel like a brick of metal on your head. Turtle beach brand is just for kids that don’t mind the discomfort and horrible quality. These have good sounds and an awesome mic that no one ever complains about. No echo mic ever. I have a $200 pair of Astro I keep for back and never use because these are far superior in comfort. They last very long as well.

AMAZING. A Google search will lead you to see that a lot of people will recommend NOT A HEADSET LIKE THIS, but rather, separate HEADPHONES, with an external, usb, desktop microphone (because HEADSET COMBO's with Mic attached like this one, are usually just marketed for Gaming and are absolute trash) .
BUT THIS HEADSET.... This is something else. EVERYBODY agrees. Even all those people that recommend buying the two things separately, ADMIT THAT THIS HEADSET IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT BEAST. I bought a Adapter from Fry's because my desktop's 2-in-1 headset audio jack was in the front of the desktop, causing too much static. Instead, i used the adapter to plug it into the back of my desktop's green and pink audio jacks, and I couldn't be happier..

The longest I've ever had a headset. Great sound, comfort, quality product, would recommend to anyone on a budget. I've owned headsets 3× the price that only lasted a few months. Been going on almost 3 years with this headset.

The greatest gaming headset of all time, for it’s price point. I cannot recommend it enough. Comfortable, stylish, and they sound great. They’re similar to Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pros in the sense that they are closed-back with a similar design. Don’t think twice, just get these.

Let me just start off by saying that this headset is outstanding in terms of quality.
HyperX Really hit it out of the park on this headset. From the different research articles I've looked into, this headset apparently has some top notch audio drivers compared to most "Gaming" headsets.
I enjoy HyperX products but don't personally pursue them when looking into purchasing gaming gear, but this headset should be something anybody serious about audio should look into.
The audio quality is top notch, (possibly better even compared to the $200+ Corsair Virtuosos I had previously), The feel and comfort is top notch and top tier, the microphone is detatchable (I haven't used it but I hear it sounds good), and the different accessories you get are always enjoyable (switchable ear cup material, detatchable mic, LONG cord, headphone jack to USB sound card converter, physical volume adjuster, carry bag, and more!)
Great value! Pick it up if you have the budget.

Lightweight and very comfortable. Great sound quality and easy to use. Love the choice in ear pads for comfort preference. Quality carrying case and well packaged. Great to use as normal headphones as well because of detachable microphone.

This is my second pair of these, first one only stopped working because I accidentally ripped the cord out of them when moving stuff around. Oops.
The sound quality is great and on the cord is a little device that lets you change the volume of the headset and the mic. Among some other things. Though you can unplug that device if you want to plug them directly into whatever you are using them on to control volume and settings from there.
They are VERY comfortable and even fit my relatively bigger head. You can't really hear outside sounds which is nice. And the earpads come with a spare and a diffrent version of them also. The mic is detachable also. I don't use my mic so this is a great feature. Though the sound quality during my test was wonderful. Cord is nice and long.
I don't really have any real complaints. If was forced to think of one it would be sometimes you forget they are on your head because they are so comfortable.

I was looking for a gaming headset for my laptop but also one that I could use ocasionally on my xbox if needed to.
A bestbuy store sales rep showed me these and said that he even bought a pair for a friend and that they sounded like headphones $200+ or better.
I was skeptical at first but then I tried them out and did I was impressed.
You get a lot of bang for your buck with these.
It has 7.1 surround which works better than I expected. The sound is very clear and not muffled. It has a usb remote to connect to the PC with volume, and mix volume controls. ( I only wished it had a mute button on the remote)
It will work with all other consoles like XB one, ps4, etc.
I have a $160 pair of turtle beach headphones that were made for XB One and these Hyper X headsets are by far better, clearer, and more accurate sounding.
The removable Mic was a must for me which is great. Also it came with different ear pads that had one pair with the vinyl and the other with a suede type material. I swapped it to the suede material which was way more comfortable for longer wear to me.
Also a nice touch was a bag/pouch to keep the accessories and the headsets in.

I got these headphones as a Christmas gift for my fiancé. She had previously been using my $20 pair of Turtle Beach headphones and I wanted to get her an upgrade. These are superior in almost every way. Decent bass response. Excellent clarity in the mid and high range. And they’re much more comfortable. The cushioning is enough for these to be noise canceling. The only drawback is that the mic is a little like a walkie-talkie—not in a distracting way though. I hardly think about it when we play games together. She mainly uses them for console gaming and talking over Discord on her Chromebook.
These are a fantastic upgrade from a cheaper pair with noticeably better quality in almost every area. I’d definitely recommend trying to get them on sale, but they’re absolutely perfect for what we need.

Perfect headset for my needs

Let's start with the caveat that I'm neither a gamer nor an audiophile. For a while, I've been searching for a reasonably priced headset with good noise cancelling/noise blocking and also a microphone. I hadn't planned to use the microphone often, but I still wanted the option. This headset, with a removable microphone, is perfect for me. For me, the sound quality leaves nothing to be desired, and this headset does a great job of blocking out background noise. This is crucial, since I mostly plan to wear it on the subway so that I can watch movies for language practice (Mandarin Chinese) during my daily subway commute. As other reviewers have mentioned, these are super comfortable--I slept with them on during my last flight. Finally, I bought these through bestbuy.com because lately fakes on Amazon are positively RAMPANT. I'm only about 10 days in, but so far I'm totally satisfied with this purchase.

Amazing headset, probably my favorite wired headset on the entire market. It's light weight, durable, VERY comfortable and practical. The only thing that could make this headset perfect would be a detachable wire that way you wouldn't have to worry about the wire longevity. I haven't had any issues with wires shorting, but I know some that have. The sound isolation is top notch as well... If you have music a bit too loud, you might not hear someone screaming in your house. Be weary of that lol.

For the money, these are excellent headphones. Good imaging in games that support it, clear sound through the microphone, and trouble-free installation. Just plug the USB connector into your computer, plug the 3.5mm jack into the other end and go.
The individual volume knobs for audio and microphone are nice. There is a button to enable 7.1 audio for games that use it. I mainly play Fortnite and the directional audio works extremely well.
The headset is comfortable on my giant noggin. The microphone is on a flexible boom and has pretty much infinite adjustment.
There are better headsets out there, but for the money, this one is hard to beat.

So I had 2 separate headsets for my pc and my Xbox, and decided it was time to just cut it down to one headset for both platforms instead of having one for each. Super light, durable, and a great finish. In game audio is superior to my previous headsets (Astro A10, Logitech G340).

I've sampled head sets from $40-$399 and these headphones are by far the best overall headphones for me. I don't entirely care too much for wireless headphones because the requirement to remember to charge them and the inevitable perfect timing for them to go dead in the middle of a movie or game. These are not wireless!
Secondly, they are plug and play with almost EVERY device that exists: PS4, XBOX, PS3, Computers, Cellphones and the list goes on. The microphone DETACHES for those who do not want these for the microphone. In the box there are TWO sets of earphone covers to fit your personal preference; one leather-type and one more of a cloth-type. For me, I like the leather type and think my ears stay cooler longer with them on. I could go on but I only wanted to give a short review, feel free to direct any additional questions my way. This is my second set of these the first ones lasted about 2 years before the wiring deteriorated, resulting in little to no sound from one ear phone and no microphone capability.

Achieving balanced video game audio can be quite a challenge in 2018. Television speakers often produce garbled bass hits that overpowers dialogue and important cues. While stereo systems require careful tuning for the desired effect. It takes time, it takes patience, and then you still need to set up voice chat.
The Cloud II Pro solve all of these problems. Lag? Not a chance, as these are wired. Which also means you wont need to change them. And the sound quality is absolutely superb, providing clarity, bass, aural direction and texture which makes all the difference in online play.
Best of all, they feature an include though optional USB soundcard. I've used this on a few media players that did not include a headphone. It's a wonderful bonus that you simply wont find in other set ups.
The Cloud II Pro is snug, light, soft, and firsts both big heads and small. If you don't enjoy these, you don't like headphones. For everyone else, these are a must buy.

I debated amongst the Hyper X headsets for a while before I decided on the Cloud II. Glad I chose it.
Comfort - The moment I put this headset over my ears, it was very comfortable. There is not much pressure applied by the band and the cushions are very soft and comfortable.
Versatility - This headset can be used on Xbox, Playstation, cell phones (sorry Apple, requires the 3.5mm headphone jack), and USB on your computers. The USB also has a remote to control the sound.
Sound - One of the first things I listened to on the headset was a video on Facebook that was a guy writing a song with a orchestra in 10 minutes. During the video, I pushed the 7.1 button on the remote and my ears were filled with a deep and richer sound like I was in the concert hall. The sound was rich and full. I was impressed.
Overall - I highly recommend this headset. I have seen people who were not happy with some of the other brands with much higher prices. Give this brand a try and you will not be disappointed.

Great headset, but not fancy

So I bought this after learning a lot about it from Google. From what I learned, this Kingston headset was very great for sound, considering it has 7.1 surround sound with the headset. Well, after purchasing, I realized that they were right. the 7.1 surround sound card was amazing. music and movies and gaming all sound great. however, I was a little upset to find that the card was part of the usb cord, and therefore not able to be used on my phone. Also, the headset is removable, but not that bendable. you can't bend it backwards, away from your face. Also, the sound card part of the usb cord, doesn't feel very sturdy. it feels like cheap plastic and the headset itself doesn't have any button control. it's all part of the card on the cord, meaning you can't control anything unless it's plugged into a computer. on an xbox or ps4 or phone, it's just a headset with a mic.
all that being said, the sound quality is great, even if it's just plugged into a phone. they're great headphones and the mic can be easily heard by others. when being used on a computer, it's really nice to be able to control the voice volume coming in as well as the computer sound, right from the card. the headset is also very, VERY comfortable and even came with a second set of ear pads(idk what they're called. the cushions for your ears on the headset) of a different material so you can pick your favorite.
rating 4/5 due to not being too fancy while still being over 100$

This is my second time buying this very headset. The first I bought 3 years ago and used it for absolutely everything. It lived a rough life, and served valiantly. It's rare I'd buy the same thing twice if one gave out on me, this headset is the exception. I even chose not to upgrade to the Cloud Revolver or Flight because of how proven this headset was to me. When mine died, I wanted it back. Nothing else would do.
The sound quality is great. It works great on my PS4 and PC. There's a reason this is always at the top of all the "Best Headset" google results, and the reason is build quality, sound quality, and comfort. The mic ain't too shabby either. The only negative is the virtual 7.1 isn't that great, it actually weakens directions in games, at least on PS4. The USB connection on PS4 (my setup preference) can also often be finicky, randomly muting and needing to be replugged or some such minor thing. 3.5mm to controller is flawless.
