First off, the audio is 5 out of 5. The only reason I’ve brought the score down is a few minor cons. Design is pretty good. They don’t look like a gaming headset and can actually be worn when you’re out and about. I do wish the earcups would rotate by 90 degrees so they would be comfortable to wear around your neck. Battery life and Bluetooth audio is fantastic. You can actually feel the bass without drowning out mids and highs. I’ve been using these for a week and haven’t had to charge yet. Console gaming experience isn’t as great but definitely not bad. You have to plug into the ps4 controller and there’s not enough power there to fully drive the Mix. I wish there was an option to connect directly to the console itself out of the box, like a usb sound card or something. The mic is nice and clear. Did some side by side testing and the Cloud Mix mic even beat out my mod mic. I can definitely recommend this set if you’d like to use it as your everyday driver between gaming and mobile. If you’re just using this just at home though, then there’s definitely other options that arent so pricey.

It’s hard to find a perfect combination of quality workmanship, feature set, compatibility, accessories and price, but the HyperX Cloud MIX is pretty darn close. I’ve basically tried every around ear headset available, both wired and wireless varieties, in the price range of $80-$500. I needed to use these for work and was willing to spend quite a bit of cash to get just the right pair. Work had provided me with an on-ear Plantronics headset, which were nice but only comfortable to wear for about an hour at a time. So, from using those, I knew my ears were prone to “ear fatigue”, which is what I’ve read is the term for the pain felt after wearing on-ear headphones for extended periods of time. I get the same pain from wearing those in-ear EarPods that Apple provides with iPods and iPhones. These Cloud MIX headphones provide a solid soundscape and remain comfortable on my head throughout the day. The faux leather memory foam ear cups are large enough to fit all the way around the outside of my ears, which I found wasn’t always the case with “around ear” headphones. The boom mic is detachable, but I use these in their wired mode with the boom mic installed. The fact these headphones have Bluetooth is an added bonus, that I use with my iPhone to listen to music when traveling. Only “bad” thing I can point out about these is that they don’t come with a hard shell case, and that they’re not equipped with noise canceling tech. Neither of those things are dealbreakers for me. I actually bought an official HyperX Cloud hard shell case, which works perfectly and was relatively inexpensive (<$15).

I've been gaming with my old headset and always had a headache from ear pressure after a couple of hours. The HyperX is very comfortable, blocks my neighbor's noise while I'm on the laptop, and the Bluetooth connection makes it flexible to use with multiple device. Charges fast too and holds about a 20 hour charge for plenty of gaming time. I'm one happy gamer!

I do not use a amp to power my headsets just the controller so keep that in mind. I sold my Alphas, revolvers, and cloud core PS4 addition for these. The sound of these are a blend between the alphas and revolvers. Loved the revolvers but it hurt to wear for long periods. But the Mix does have a louder sound on Xbox where you will want to turn it down, PS4 is still falling short of being loud but it is still louder than the alphas and core’s, and double the bass, More detail in the sound as well. I had the mix while still owning all the others so I constantly took them off to put another on and so forth. The alphas and core’s PS4 addition sound very similar while the alphas won slighly with more detail On both Xbox and PS4, but cores had slightly more bass. Revolvers were amazing on both Xbox and PS4 and will blow your ear drums out crazy loud. It was great cause you had adjustability in sound, and it was crazy good sound quality. but the Mix is def better than the alphas and core’s both In loudness, details and bass. I wish I could wear the revolvers as I’d keep them. But with the Mix sounding like a blend between the alphas and revolvers I’m very happy. They work fantastic for Xbox users, but for PS4, it’s good and still louder than the alphas and core’s and probably a perfect listening volume for 90% at max volume. not as loud as the revolvers with their 30 ohms. But it has similar explosive punch as the revolvers when it came to gun shots in wildlands or FPS. Should you buy the MIX’s if you play on console only? Absolutely yes you won’t regret the steep price once you hear it. But if you don’t care about Bluetooth or extra bass and can wear the revolvers without jaw pain from the design then the revolvers are AMAZING for consoles. PS4 controller can barely push a 32ohm headset, Xbox has no issues pushing a 45ohm headset. Mix’s are 40ohm.

I already have a pair of Cloud II's that I absolutely LOVE so when searching for a pair of quality BT headphones for use with my tv, I should've just bought these first and saved a ton of headache. First up - great battery life, comfortable fit (a bit heavy), easy to pair, and the sound is absolutely fantastic. Even over BT, they sound as good if not better than my Cloud IIs. Biggest reason for loving these is the lack of lag when watching tv, movies, gaming. Less than 100ms which makes it almost unnoticeable. After trying 4 other brands and finding they all had serious lag issues (worst: Bose @ 600ms, best: Sony @ 100-200ms but uncomfortable to wear), I decided to try out these as my Cloud II's have been my go-to headset for my PC and gaming for years. I was not disappointed. Only con I can think of is they are a bit pricey but in comparison to the Bose, Beats and Sony's I tried first, they're in the same bracket but work better so I'm okay with the cost.

I am quite happy with these headphones however they do have flaws. I managed to get them pretty cheap so I don't feel burned but for the full price it might not be a bad idea to look elsewhere. Pros: Good build quality Works great with my phone wirelessly (via Bluetooth) Microphone is great Pretty comfortable Cons: Will not work as a gaming headset THROUGH BLUETOOTH! Wired it works fantastic but I tried for hours and I was never able to get the wireless to work properly. Sound is not studio quality. (a bit flat) All-in-all for a decent gaming headset that I can use as wireless headphones with my phone, they're not bad... but I can very much see for the price others not being so forgiving!

Very comfortable headset with great sound quality. The build of the headset feels premium with great material and comfort. A little less clunky compared to other hyperx headsets. Only gripe is that the 3.5 mm aux port needs an extra deep input (or only uses hyperx aux cords). Wish it would just use a standard 3.5 mm aux cord input.

After a year of ownership I can safely say that this is the best headset that I've had, I use these everyday whether I'm watching stuff on a tablet, my phone, or playing games on my Xbox or PC. The Bluetooth is easy to connect with devices, also being able to hardwire them is great as well. Battery life is excellent, and the fact that it has detachable cords on top of the metal frame is a big plus for me.

They're a great sounding headset, I'm not an audiophile but it sounds great to me. Game audio is very clear, chat audio comes through very nicely, and very comfortable for long sessions. The added bluetooth function is nice too because I like to use them with my phone, they're good for videos and games but not very much for music. Honestly, the difference in sound quality between plugged in and bluetooth is so drastic, it's preventing me from giving it 5 stars.

Bought this for the hubby his turtle headset broke after owning it for 2 years unfortunately. Apparently this one is made of aluminum and not plastic like others and should last longer. My gamer husband is able to hear and be heard clearly on missions and raids with ease and they have a noise cancelling effect too.

I use my headset wired to my computer and unplug it for my phone when I go out to the yard to help my dad. I would recommend this if you want that type of use. If you want a PC wireless headset the Flights would work better.

The headphones sound great and the bluetooth ability is awesome. My kid says they are very comfortable to wear. His favorite headphones ever so far because of the sound quality and comfort. However, the material on the ear pieces comes off. I am glad I got the protection plan, because have needed to replace them 3 times. If they fix that issue, I would give them 5 stars.

Even though these are advertised more as "gaming" headphones, my son uses them for everything from listening to music, to watching videos, and of course for gaming. they are wireless, rechrgreable, and blue tooth compatible. They replaced a wired version, and my son likes these much better. Hyper X headphones are excellent.

This pair of headphones is one of the best pairs I've owned. The Bluetooth capability is wonderful for any type of cellphone. I also love how I can use the headphones on my computer for a headset and the mic sounds brilliant. The Bluetooth mic is a bit weak when compared to the boom mic, but that is to be expected. Great pair of headphones for a relatively cheap price.

These headphones are literally the best pair I've ever tried. One thing that really suprised me was the battery level it holds when using bluetooth. The battery last so long and I still have yet to run out of battery whenever I was on the go. They are comfortable and they can easily switch from wired to bluetooth seamlessly. Amazing!

This headset does exactly what it sets out to do; wear it while gaming, wear it while commuting. The only issue I have with this headset is it's compatibility with Windows 10. Windows doesn't recognize the device as a standalone Bluetooth headset with a microphone. You either have to use it in handsfree mode giving up ALL audio quality, but getting access to your mic. Or, use it in headset mode which gives you the full audio quality, but you get no access to your mic. You see, Windows 10 Bluetooth doesn't work well with all headsets when transmitting both audio, and your voice from the mic. This device is one of them. The solution is you have to use the headset wired when gaming, then Bluetooth when commuting. That's what I did, and I'm happy with it.

These are closed back headphones. Good sound and detachable mic seems to work well. Not for marathon gaming sessions, at least for me because they are right on my head. Pretty awesome that they are dual purpose so you can Bluetooth them for music on the go. For the price, no complaints.
