Customers are saying
Customers regard the Gaming Desktop as a high-performance machine, frequently praising its speed, powerful graphics, and quiet operation. Many appreciate its competitive price and ease of setup, although some experienced issues with the included keyboard and reported occasional problems with Wi-Fi connectivity and cooling. A few users noted concerns about the power supply and fan noise. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and value outweighs the negative comments regarding specific components.

Great performance at a reasonable price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the i9-powered BB985v2. Solid machine. Only thing I would say: this was my first machine with antennae, and until I figured them out, I thought my PC's wi-fi was broken. I'm not alone, as others have left similar reviews elsewhere. I would also add, had a few problems with activating Windows with a non-local account, but I solved that with a bit of troubleshooting. Other than those issues, which I quickly resolved, love the machine so far!

Great specs. Disappointing build quality/defective
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this machine at the $1599 price tag after Labor Day and received it on 9/15. It shipped with an MSI 940A prime motherboard, Western Digital Green 1TB SSD, Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 2070 Super, an MSI Daughterboard with an Intel 3168AC chipset for WiFi and Bluetooth with two antennas, and 16 GB of Zadak brand RAM. Upon unboxing, I had the same problem that two other commenters have mentioned of not being able to connect to WiFi whatsoever - except that I was able to complete my installation on a wired connection and then troubleshoot that if I locked the WiFi adapter to the 20Mhz band I could get slow speeds, and if I used the 40Mhz band I would get transmit failures. After 6 hours of screwing around with driver updates and settings, I got a hunch to try swapping antennas on the WiFi card with another card I had here at home - and behold, the card began working. So, defective component #1: At least one of the 2 included WiFi Antennas. Like virtually every commenter with a negative review, I also received the wrong keyboard...But as a bonus, the chintzy "IBuyPower" key on the keyboard that replaces a Windows/Start key did not work whatsoever. Defective (and wrong component) #2: Keyboard. Today, I tried to play a game using high settings with my brand new RTX 2070 Super and was treated to the worst case of coil whine I've ever heard from a GPU. Walking around in a first person shooter led to audible and pitch changing squeals from the back of the GPU. Any time shadow or lighting activity became more than moderate, the card squealed away. Bad build quality item #3: GPU/PSU signal noise not evaluated in Quality Control. While inside the case, I noticed that the audio cable for the connections on the top of the machine were plugged in...to only 4 of the 8 pins on the motherboard header. Bad build quality item #4: Half connected audio ports. I've e-mailed IBuyPower support and received literally no response - -so this will likely be finding its way back to BestBuy this week, and I'll just wait until Cyber Monday to buy something else. IBuyPower probably could have kept my business if they'd bothered to answer me with anything more than a dispatch queue form e-mail, but with 4 failure points in build quality 8 hours of trouble shooting, more problems being discovered and zero support response, I may as well just go build my own box for the time involved. Lastly: Know that this machine ships with an MSI daughterboard for the motherboard that contains the Intel 3168AC WiFi/Bluetooth combo chipset. Despite being a small factor mini-PCI-E board, iBuyPower installed mine into the only full size expansion slot in the machine... which meant to get the slot back, I would now have a hole in the back of the machine from removing more of the throw-away back panel covers to move the card where it's actually supposed to go. So, I guess you can tack that on as Bonus Bad Build Quality item #5: I'd have to modify the case by removing one of the backplates, permanently, to move components to somewhere logical and correct the errors in installation of components. So, in closing, you know all those videos on YouTube and the number of time Linus Tech Tips has shown how bad iBuyPower is at quality and support? They're right! Buy something else. This is my first and last iBuyPower experience!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE THE COMPUTER! I was going to build one but after pricing the parts I decided I wasn't going to save enough to hassle. I had my eye on ibuypower and best buy gave me a price I couldn't refuse. Has many pros but a few Cons
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it, Although the keyboard and mouse are totally different and honestly, they suck. But the pc itself is SOO good. I've had it for a year now I still run 240 fps on Fortnite, 180ish on GTA and 190ish on Forza horizon 5. I can feel it slowing down a bit but that's with every pc. I wish they gave us a remote to switch the rgb lighting but it's not that big of a deal.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it today, and am really enjoying it so far! Setup was straightforward. I did have an issue with one of the fan lights not turning on, but I was easily able to open the back panel and find the connection that got loose. So far, everything is running great!

Beautiful PC
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our PC was delivered by signature only in great condition. There were little to no instructions. We had to remove protective packaging inside of the PC very carefully. Thankfully, the it uses thumb screws, so it was easy. Once plugged in, the bottom, 3rd, light/fan would not work. I was able to remove the other side of the PC and reseat all of the 4 plugs from the lights/fans. There is a very flimsy black piece of tape securing all 4 connectors and it had come loose already. We used a small piece of painter's tape to help secure the connectors in the sockets. I had to google what connections are on the main board and the video graphics card because I'd already set the machine up in it's location. There is a foldout that has some of them listed, but was not clear. The machine runs fast and has played all of our games quite smoothly. We are happy with the purchase even though it took a few hours to figure everything out. I gave it 4 stars because of that and the fact that it doesn't come with a CD/DVD drive. It seems easy to add one in later, but for this price point, it should be included.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system. Came carefully packaged. Easy set up and super fast. Really good quality for the cost. If you need a system to run labs/linux/vmware and game this has an excellent value.

It's Fast! - iBuypower SUCKS!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's get the bad stuff out of the way....iBuypower has the poorest Customer Service of any company I have ever had to deal with and at my age, that's saying a lot. They don't answer the phone. Recorded messages go on for hours and no one answers. It takes several days to get an email response, and when you finally get one the information is useless. I tried to contact them with one simple question about the 3 fans not working in the front of the computer. I get the feeling the company is a couple of California guys working out of somebody's garage with a answering machine and a sharp looking web page. The PC works fine. It's lightning fast and will run the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 beautifully. And that's saying something! The price point is good for the hardware you get. It just seems that they have no quality control and don't pay attention to details.
