Really like this computer.. lights are funky..especially like the keyboard. The underglow lights are a nice touch. I like the keys too. They click & not many do anymore.

I’ve had it a couple days now and it’s ran everything I’ve played so far. And done it better then my XB1. Only complaint is I have not figured out how to control the rgb lights

My son had me order this for him and he loves it. It serves the purpose he needed it for and he hardly leaves the house because of the games he’s playing on the system.

Pretty good machine but had to replace parts

After some parts replacements and kludgery, it seems like a pretty good machine, especially for the price. That said, I should not have had to replace anything on a brand new machine, hence the 3 stars. Read on: Negative Had to replace the 1 tb HDD: The 1 tb HDD that it came with vibrated like crazy and made a lot of noise. Even after I added the 2 screws that were missing – only one side of the drive was screwed into the caddy. This noise is readily transmitted through the case because the drive bay is rigidly mounted to the chassis and the drives are screwed directly to the steel bay with no provision for rubber isolation. I installed a drive without vibration problems, even with a very quiet drive, I can hear it through the case due to the rigid mounting. I’ve also had a few storage-related blue screens, but when I replaced the badly vibrating drive it came with, those went away. Seems to have been a bad drive. I have ordered a 4mm thick sticky thermally conductive pad to put under the drive caddy. We’ll see if that helps with the noise. Had to replace the power supply: The power supply had a ridiculously loud constantly on fan, which appeared to run at a fixed speed with no thermal control. It also produced an acrid burning electronics smell when it was running. When I pulled it out to replace it with a Corsair 750w supply (now totally silent and no more stink), I discovered that it was NOT a 700w supply as stated. It was, in fact a generic 500w supply. Bad disk controller behavior: Every time it boots and sometimes when it wakes from sleep, the mechanical HDD spins up then back down. It then sits with Windows frozen and the HDD light on solid for about 20 seconds, then spins the drive back up and everything works normally from there. Very annoying. It did that with the original 1 tb HDD and it does it exactly the same with the replacement drive. BIOS Update Issue: The BIOS is F2, but there is now up to F4. When I try to update it manually, it says that the part number does not match. But I am downloading the correct BIOS image. I even checked the silkscreen on the board itself to ensure that the model number on the instruction book provided matches the board and it does. The automatic download also fails, saying it can’t find a BIOS for this board (Gigabyte). Nothing was preinstalled: It was just a bare copy of Windows with no customization by IBuyPower. I had to install drivers, figure out which RGB control program would control the lights in my particular machine (to turn them all off), and install it. In fact, the one on the Gigabyte disk I was provided did not work. I had to download a different one from Gigabyte and that worked. And the Gigabyte app center will not run so I had to kludge a bunch of their apps to get them installed individually. Though I know that for some, having nothing preinstalled is a feature. Positive The price was right: I would very much prefer a real workstation machine, which what I have been using both at home and at work for many years. All HP Z series workstations and they are brilliant. But when I spec’d out an HP Z2 G8 with the same processor, RAM power supply, but with NO video card, it came to $2350. This machine was $1350. And assuming the 1660 TI is $500, it cost $1500 less than the HP workstation. It has a HDD light: Finally, a machine with an HDD light! And it is right on the top of the case. Very nice. The case is actually pretty nice. It is very roomy and the motherboard is a full ATX with multiple PCIE slots, which are increasingly hard to find these days other than the one the video card is plugged into (reference HP Omens and Omen Obelisks – one slot with the video card plugged into it). The tempered glass is nice and very heavy, and the top of the case is totally flat, which is great to put an external removable media drive on top.

I haven't really gotten to try it out due to the graphics card throwing up a code 43 the first time I booted up the computer (IBuyPower is having me mail it in for a free fix or replacement) but aside from that I've been happy so far.

Awesome PC. Moves fast, picture is great, and it looks NICE in my room! However, one concern is that games that get downloaded must be redownloaded almost every couple hours because the PC won’t save them for some reason.

The first day I had it it seemed to be working fine, but all I had done with it was let it download Windows updates. On the second day, its connection to the internet was really slow despite my other computers not having any connection problems. I ended up getting the crash IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL when I was trying to use google chrome. After I booted it back up, I was given a notification that said one or more of my drivers had issues. I tried to click on it so I could get more information but it never responded. I later went to the device manager, and something called "base driver" had a warning label on it as well as the network adapter it was using. I tried troubleshooting both drivers but was told that everything was working fine. I tried checking my antivirus software in case I somehow got malware or something (I shouldn't have, I literally got the antivirus activated as soon as I was able to and never connected to any sites I didn't know). My antivirus didn't come up with any issues. I tried to do a factor reset to see if that wouldn't help anything but I got an error message saying I wasn't able to do that at this time or something like that. I called tech support and they told me I ended up with a defective computer and should get it replaced. I tried turning off the computer before I went out to the store and it would not turn off anymore. I had to cut the power on it because it flat out refused to turn off. When I had taken it to the store I was told I could not get it replaced for the same one because they were completely sold out. I would have to get a refund or a different one. I asked if they could try to fix it because it was still under warrenty and they agreed. They tried doing a factory reset on it and it crashed on them and they weren't able to turn it back on. In the end I just got the refund. Come to think of it, I don't even know if I got a brand new one - what I paid for, or a refurbished/used one. The instructions that came with it said to remove the foam and plastic sheet from the inside of it, but there was nothing in there. One of the protective plastic caps was missing from the ports in the graphic card. When I had picked up the computer to put it back in the box (when I was returning it) I could hear a small screw or something bouncing around inside the case. I had not unscrewed anything except the large screws outside the case when I was opening it to check for the foam and plastic sheet, and I had tightened those pretty well. They were on the outside too. Maybe I did get a brand new one - I don't know, I could be completely wrong on this but I just thought to point this out in case it helps anyone.

it runs really well, however the software to control the rgb was not installed so I had to do a lot of digging around to find out which one was compatible with the pc, but putting that annoyance aside it is a good pc.
