    Disappointed...

I was very excited to get this PC, as I was upgrading from a 1080 and wanted to take advantage of RTX technology. My first two weeks with the rig was magical; ultra settings, RTX, high FPS, everything you could ask for. Going into week 3 it all fell apart and the videocard failed. I Googled the issue and it confirmed that the problem I was having was unfixable and I essentially had a bad card. I've since returned the rig to Best Buy and as always, they provided me with great service. I will not be purchasing a PC from this brand again.

great computer for machine learning scientist

The computer so far runs good for me. Good keyboard, mouse and side panel. However, I am a little bit disappointed about the wifi connection. The wifi adapter runs fine in windows but doesn’t run in ubuntu so I need to use the cable connection. The most important part for me is the zotac rtx 2080 ti. i have bought a hp omen obelisk with rtx 2080. When I compare them for tensorflow neural machine translation, the rtx 2080 ti is about 20% faster than the one of hp omen. Plus, it can run the original tutorial of data in tensorflow, which required 1024 units per layer, batch size 128 and 4 layers for each encoder and decoder model. The hp omen can only run at 512 units per layer, it.throws resourceexhausted error in 1024 units. In total, the hp omen requires 66 hours to complete training of 4.5 millions like while the ibuypower takes 50 hours. If you are a computer scientist who likes deep learning but you are not able to buy a workstation with over 5000$, this ibuypower may be the good computer for you

My older pc really struggled to play some of the newer titles coming out these days. I purchased this Snowblind Desktop and let me tell you, this thing is a beast. I can run Battlefield V, Anthem, and Metro Exodus on Ultra settings with ease.

    Crash machine.

No set up instructions for the LCD panel. Wrong cable included. Graphics card does not have a DVI port so you need a DisplayPort to DVI. Difficult to open side panel. Now for the bad stuff. Crashes after a few minutes of game playing on Steam. Several flat and VR games tried. Reinstalled windows and have the same crash results. Tired of fighting with it and will be returning.

I had to go through 4 Snowblind 956 models!! The first one I bought was good out of the box, bought my own dvi to hdmi as reviews stated it comes with the wrong cable for the side panel. Was running smooth until about third day when the graphics card (Gigabyte) went dead as it gave me artifacts “space invaders” on my screen. Went to bestbuy and they happily exchanged with no problems. Second pc I thought was fine, took me about to two days to notice side panel was damaged minimal but damaged. Drove to a different bestbuy they exchanaged with no problems. Third one, got home unboxed took the side panel plastic off and was damaged as well. Went backand exchanged. Fourth and current pc is running fine with no damages for now. Came with the right side panel cable. Unacceptable when your spending 2500 for a pc, the techs assembling these PCs need to be more careful. Currently debating on returning and getting a cyberpower pc with liquid cpu cooling as im noticing it seems to get quite warm and feel like the cooler master cpu fan does nothing.

This PC is beyond all expectations. I am by no means a PC junkie so this has served every single need I have had so far. I have thrown everything I can at it and have yet to see any resistance. I upgraded with liquid cooling which is something I would recommend. Other than that this PC is golden.

This is a truly amazing machine, superior out of the box and expandable later! Love it, will probably not game on laptops anymore. The best graphics card going and it shows!

    Graphics card dead on arrival

I decided to buy one of these pre built snowblinds for my wife before Christmas. After going home the first thing I noticed was an error message on boot resulting in an endless boot cycle. I had to make edits to the registry to get it to start up. Next, the graphics card was dead on arrival. That was the most stunning aspect. For a computer touting graphics capability it fell flat. I didn't bother getting the cpu replaced, I just took it back. Finally, the wire they provided to connect the graphics card to the side panel was too short. Maybe I'm being picky here, but that seems incredibly stupid to sell a product and not supply the correct parts especially when it relates to one of the main features of the product.
