First I want to say I'm a long time BestBuy customer and don't blame them for this. I bought the Igloo upright freezer Aug 2012 and was very happy with it. Then early Nov 2012 I discovered one day when I opened the door to get something it was completely defrosted and dead lost food that I had just bough, No on off setting the only way to turn it off is by unpluging it, don't buy it you'll be sorrry. Returned it paid a bit more and got a frigidair frost free and way better

came from suppier damaged, on line heighth says unit was 50 1/4 inch's when I got it out of the box it didn't fit under the cupboard because it's actualy 58 inch's.

Freezer stopped working correctly right around the time the free labor portion of the warrantly ran out at 90 days. We have defrosted and restarted it, but it will no longer fully freeze the food. This is really too bad as it is a nice small size for our available space and was perfect for us while it worked correctly.

Freezer stopped working within a month and a half. Manufacturer wants us to ship it across the country for warranty which costs more than the freezer. My advice is to find something better or with a better warranty.

I received this deep freezer just 2 days ago. When delivered I was advised by the deliverymen to come out and watch them unpack the freezer. So I stood there as they inspected the freezer and called in about a ding and crease. Best Buy did give me a $50 Best Buy Gift card for damages to freezer. Then they installed freezer and next morning it was as warm as it was the day they delivered it. So I called Best Buy about it and was scheduled for appointment with Geek Squad for repairs. Day of appointment, Geek Squad calls and says that they do not do repairs on Igloo Products as they do not have the parts to repair them as of yet. So now I am informed to call Best Buy and have a replacement delivered to me. I am now strongly thinking of having them just credit my bank card and let them come and pick this piece of junk up and take it back to where they got it from. It astonishes me how a appliance can leave the manufacturing warehouse without being inspected! They must just make it and ship it without any kind of Quality Control.

I was hoping that there would be room in the door, other than that, the freezer is perfect

I got this unit in Nov 2011 and by April 2012 it failed - would not keep items frozen even on the highest setting. It ruined many dollars of food. I called Igaloo for warantee service - thier "solution" - I pay them $7 for "insurance" AND ship the unit to thier repair facility at MY expense!!! What a totally unaceptable postion for a company to take. I see by other posts here that I am far from alone - many units failed in the same manner mine did! No more Igaloo products for me!!! Do NOT by one of these freezers!!!

The dimensions listed area incorrect! You would think with soo many reviews saying that they would make a change. Because I got it home and it didn't fit in the space I returned it and never used it. Best Buy, in the name of customer service needs to take my opened box, measure this item and redo the specs on it. BTW, the manufacturer's specs are incorrect! BB - DO THE RIGHT THING and correct the info on this item!

After just 8 hours from turning it on there was already ice build up at the top.

I needed a small upright frost-free freezer to handle my needs, and for the most part it has. In the pass two months though, small amounts of frost has been present.

We just wanted a small upright freezer. We had a small budget and didn't need anything fancy. This hits are needs well. It fills up fast because it is so small but its a good size.for the price we paid. Only downfall is no interior lights.

We bought this freezer on Nov 1, 2012 and here it is Feb 5, 2013 and it stopped working. My husband called and the guy told him to unplug for 4 hours and plug back up and it should be fine. Tried that and nothing. Then he called again and he got another guy that told him to mail it to him to him. Seriously....it's not a small package. It would cost more to ship it than what we paid for it. So utterly disappointed. Will NOT be purchasing from Igloo again. Please please do not waste your money on this. I promise you will regret this.

I awarded 1 star. I do not recommend purchasing this item. Only purchase this item if you purchase extended warranty from Best Buy. Should you opt not to purchase warranty, do not expect to get it repaired or replaced. Purchased unit year ago and it failed exactly 2 days shy of a year. Geek Squad replaced freeze and it dead out of the box. The upside of purchasing the extended warranty is Geek Squad will reimburse up to $200.00

Bought for my wife's breast milk. Lasted 1 year and as soon as the warranty ended, so did its life. Lost a fair amount of milk. But why cry over spilt milk?

Bought it for the price and size but was disappointed that it dies after only 5 months. I guess having a name brand like Igloo does not always stand for quality or reliability.

Bought this freezer in Jan 2012, in June 2012 stopped working completely. Curtis Int'l wants it MAILED back--at my expense--as other commenters have noted...no other support. Call center is apparently overseas. Based on other reviews below I am doubtful it can be repaired in a cost effective way. A $200 mistake on our part.

Great freezer in my apartment. Only lacks frost free bigger inside than you would think

Bought it on close out and the freezer was ok for 5 months. After that just quit. Food ruined! Curtis Int, (not Igloo) customer service no help at all. "Just Unplug and let be for 12 hours will be ok." in my best India accent. Go elsewhere and get namebrand freezer.
