||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The app for setting what buttons do on it (in particular the shut-eye button) tends to not follow what I'd expect from setting it up using its app, e.g., set it to play ocean/nature sounds, just goes completely quiet. The lights respond as expected however. It's not Alexa to the degree amazon devices are either, you must connect alexa to their own ihome app, so you end up with at least 2 apps to drive one device. It's better as an add-on alexa device therefore and not the first.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a nice looking clock, and has some great features like Alexa, time, date, weather but the features are just very cumbersome and take a lot to get used to. Everything is controlled thru the app, which is VERY buggy. For whatever reason, the app on my phone said I wasn't connected to the internet, which I certainly was. I had to completely uninstall the app (try doing that with ios 13 without crying). Once I figured out that, I was able to reinstall and set it up. The clock should give an option to set the time, alarm, etc on the clock itself, instead of an app. That's just ridiculous. Same goes for the snooze. The smart buttons are a nice touch, but after you turn the smart button on, the only way to silence the smart button is to push the pause/play button. Makes more sense to just push the smart button to turn the smart button on and off. Its pretty obvious they rushed this to market, without a real good test cycle or user testing. I would not recommend this product and likely will not buy another iHome product again.
