Posted .We apologize for your misunderstanding. The iPL24 has an 8-pin lightning dock. If you have an older iPod with 30 pins this is not compatible. Apple discontinued manufacturing for 30-pin docking units. The description clearly states: Time Sync feature Syncs the clock to your Lightning device in moments. Posted .We apologize for the experience you encountered. Tap the simmer button on the top of the unit. If that does not work, please follow these steps to reset the unit and iOS device at the same time.
Make sure you are not using a protective case. If you are using a protective case please try docking the device without the case.
1. Remove the batteries from the unit if applicable.
2. Unplug the unit from its power source (AC adapter).
3. Wait 20 minutes.
4. Plug the unit into a power source (without batteries).
5. Hard Reset the (iPad, iPod, iPhone).
Press and hold the Top (or Side) button until the slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Top (or Side) button again until you see the Apple logo.
If normal operation is restored, insert "new" batteries into the unit.

Posted .Please contact us with the iPod Touch model number. This is an 8 pin unit so a lightening adapter is needed for a 30 pin iPod. Keep in mind some USB ports will charge only and not play.

Posted .We are sorry you did not read the features for the iPL24 which has a lightning dock manufactured for 8-pin iOS devices. We would appreciate an updated review as Apple has discontinued all 30-pin iOS docking systems from being manufactured.
Charger not compatible with my iphone cases

I removed my heavy thick case because it definitely would not work and replaced the case with a cheap non-protective case. The charger still will not work with any case I have on my phone. Taking the phone in and out of the case to charge it on this device overnight is a "bust".

The charging device for the Iphone did not work.

Had problems using lightning connector into the phone to charge it. Radio sound not that great. I did like the clock time being up high so I am only using it as a clock. Waste of money.
