I figured I got a lemon, but since the sound is good, especially for the price, I bought a second one. When it too stopped charging within a few months, I decided to buy something else.

Posted .We are sorry to hear about these experiences. There can be many factors to the failed units. If you use a charging cable that was not provided with the unit, over charging the unit (more than 4-6 hours at a time), using an AC wall adapter with more than 5 volts which burns out the battery, leaving the iBT84 on the charger at all time which depletes the battery life. Posted .Interesting point of view. The iBT84 has a 4.3 rating. With 8 watts of audio output power, this is a great speaker.
1. Remember to turn the volume up on the connected device once your audio is playing.
2. Remove the iBT84 from the phone and restart the phone.
3. Re-pair the speaker and use the phone to turn up the volume.
