I liked the small size to fit on my nightstand and liked the mini remote. However there is not a skip button or other buttons to affect the iPod on the main base or remote. I liked the dimmer button which without I wouldn't have been able to sleep. I also liked the sleep function but it really didn't get quite enough to fall asleep to. I did not like that if you had an iPod docked the alarm automatically defaulted to iPod, you couldn't choose to wake to buzzer. There isn't a radio which it turned out I missed. I returned the product (with ease).

This will allow you to wake up to your Ipod. Here are a couple of issues I found. 1) You can not listen to your Ipod on Shuffle for sleep mode or any mode. So your songs will always play in alphabetical order. 2)Even on the lowest setting the display is too bright. (I have to turn off the lighted display) 3) This may seem stupid, but the buttons when pressed "click". During normal time its not that big a deal, but at 3AM having to hear that click over and over cause I am turning the display on and then lower or hitting snooze is annoying. 4) No Radio But It sounds pretty good and looks really good!. OH 1more thing DOES NOT come with adaptor plate for Ipod Nano generation 4 or below. Only generation 5. Does not tell you that. Had to order adaptor from Ihome for $5.99 for my Ipod generation 4. Honestly, its expensive and for the price either shop around for something cheaper or fess up an extra 20 spot and get a better IHome model. Kinda wish I took mine back when I had the chance. :-(

I bought this for my 14 year old son for Christmas. I looked around at other iHomes but they ran close to $100 for the features I wanted. He seems very pleased with it. It is small enough for him to carry with him, it has all the necessary features: it charges, has an alarm clock, a remote as well as a radio. It's great for a forgetful 14 year old. One disadvantage might be that his cousin's nano would not charge on this particular iHome,

This is a nice player for my mom's ipod. She is 70. It is easy for her to use - takes up a small amount of space in her small apartment - but puts out a nice sound quality. Good price too.

this is a great product to use. it has great sound quality and the size is also good. but sometimes the iPod stops because it has to be properly adjusted in the slot. the remote is a great feature. it works pretty good but sometimes you have to hit the button a couple of times

This ipod alarm clock is great! Not only is the sound crystal clear but I love taking off the ipod and it being fully charged every time! It also lights up at night or has a feature to turn off the background light at night. I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it to others!

I bought one less than a year ago, mine did come with a remote. Was really easy to set up, very compact, alright sound for something that size. But, it just stopped working one morning after I had used it the night before. I would prefer something less quality that lasted longer... this didn't even last a year. Now it's time to upgrade to something better quality, with a radio

    Disappointing

After 18 years with a dual-alarm CD player that finally broke, I bought the iHome to recharge my iPhone, play iTunes track, and wake to my preferred track. I was sorely disappointed and I'm returning it. My issues: 1. when the iPhone is in the cradle, the clock is too dim to view the time. 2. if you set the iHome to sleep, then you are woken up to whichever track is next to play. 3. No volume control for the alarm. 4. No changing the setting for the sleep timer (90 mins) or snooze (I don't know what this one is--after I hit snooze, the alarm never came back. 5. the alarm on/off switch is easy to bump to turn off/on when you don't plan to do so. 6. There is a volume control on the remote only, which means that when you are in the dark (as one might be when using an alarm clock, especially one where one can't read the time because the display dims when one's iPhone is in the cradle) that one has to find the remote and try to find the volume buttons in the dark--or turn the light on. When would I recommend this? When you're looking to play your iTunes and charge your iPhone in the kitchen, when you have friends over, etc. and you don't care about the alarm part. But if so, then just buy a cheaper device that isn't supposed to be an alarm clock.

I got this as a Christmas gift. I wanted something I could use at my desk that didn't take up much space. It's perfect for that. Even has a small remote. Might be nice to have a radio function, but I was more concerned about listening to my ipod. I was impressed with the sound, too.

This is the perfect bedroom iPod player. It has decent sound quality while still being compact enough to go on your nightstand. One feature I really like it the adjustable dimmer settings on the clock, 3 levels of brightness and one with no backlighting which is perfect for different sleepers. The clock is also nice and large where you can actually see it from across the room. At first I wasn't too sure about the style of the device, but it really shows off your iPod and also doesn't take up much space.

shortly after purchase, the clock function ceased to keep correct time and the change clock time function also stopped working altogether. emailed product contact resource for instruction on how to correct these problems they did not provide any assistance instead they said to return it to the seller shortly thereafter the up and down volume functions ceased to operate this thing is a piece of junk not worth your money or your time

    nice little alarm clock

I am not sure what device jww27 was reviewing, but all of his issues except # 2 are not correct. #1 there is a dimmer so if the clock is too dim to read, change the dimmer and it becomes very bright. # 3 there is a volume control for the alarm but you have to read the instructions #4 you can change the sleep settings and the snooze works fine. You can change the volume for sleep and the duration of you sleep either 90, 60, 30, 15 #5 i havent bummed it by accident once #6 there are two volume control buttons on the clock itself, up and down. I really like my iHome, I was able to change the volume for the alarm so that it was really loud as I have issues sleeping through alarms, but i am still able to use the sleep function and listen to my music at a low level while falling asleep. I also like that the alarm comes on lower, then slowly progresses to a loud volume so you are not startled out of sleep. It does have an alarm if you do not have an ipod plugged in, but it is a couple small beeps, will not wake up sound sleepsers.

Nothing special but if you are looking for something to charge your Apple product with good speaker quality, this is a good deal. I use this to listen to Pandora in the morning and the sound quality is pretty good.

This looks like a great product. I bought it for the wakeup/ sleep feature with the automatic sound reduction/ increase feature. However, I have a MS Zune and this feature only works with dockable iPods.

    So-So Alarm Clock

Although affordable, this alarm clock does not deliver. The sound, even with a bass booster is a bit tinny. The sleep function is tricky because if you have the volume low to begin with, the sound shuts down after a minute or two. I have no luck with any models of IHome Alarm clocks--even the expensive models breakdown after a short period of time.

I have had this unit for several months now and it works fine, looks nice and sleek, and has great sound quality for its size and price. The volume level is surprisingly high for such a small unit. On the down side, unlike the picture on the website, there is NOT a remote included with this unit. Also, it has a very annoying bug where inserting your iPod in a powered-off state or a "not playing" state will cause the clock settings to reset to factory defaults (i.e. 12:00 and full brightness of the display). All in all, its a nice looking and compact unit with great sound for its size and price.
