Unfortunately everything I could find was well over a $100. While in Best Buy I came across this affordable system and have been pleased with it. I would suggest it for anyone looking for audio entertainment specific to a room. For me, it is my kitchen, while cooking.

The FM receiver only seems to be of fair quality, but it picks up the main local station that I listen to. The display is not so hot as you can barely read it when looking at it straight on. You have to look at it from the side to read it. Seems like a definite design flaw.

Perfect for the kitchen

Our house is a '60's ranch and the rooms are walled off from each other. This took care of the music problem. The reception is surprisingly good for the radio (I haven't tried AM yet, but no problems with FM). She really likes having the CD player. Also, the bluetooth syncing worked with my son's iphone. The installation just has to be taken slowly using the template, and be sure to countersink the holes inside the cabinet so the screw doesn't stick up.

If there are other devices plugged into the same outlet or sitting nearby the system that are on, try turning those off or unplugging them to see if that solves the issue. difficult to mount in a confined space

The template doesn't take into account room for the power cord plug either. Overall sound performance is good. If you really want an under the counter unit it's about all we could find.

Unfortunately, only about 1 station that I listen to would even tune in & it was not clear. Returned the item & will keep looking.
