Love it! Fast, reliable and the colors on the screen are incredible!

I purchased this new computer to replace my old one, which was 11 years old. Its very easy to use - and a lot faster.

Great display for viewing photos. Touch ID is very convenient. Disappointed with having to deal with Thunderbolt ports and lack of SD card slot. I will have to figure out how I might connect lightning Ipad or older USB devices. Of course this will probably involve pricey solutions. Overall, in view of these shortcomings, I would rate it 4.5

iMac 24" is great. we had an old 17' mac desk top with outdated iOS so now all mac devices are synced. larger monitor and finger print log in make it so much easier

Great Mac, easy to work with. The sound quality is great. Very quiet and just looks good on the desk. Not cheap, but totally worth the extra cost from base model.

A Crisp screen, great camera, speedy processing, thin size, spatial audio all, good price to performance quotient all contribute to this being the best iMac ever.

Replaced two 2015 iMacs with 2 of the latest iMacs 522GB SSD w/Touch ID. So far we have been very pleased with them. I normally will not purchase electronics on the first iteration of major new features but I made an exception this time. The display is excellent and the processing is fast. I have no problem with the Touch ID, but my wife does with anything that requires a finger touch so 99% of the time she has to manually input her password. Overall, we are both extremely pleased with our upgrades and would recommend the new models to anyone with an older iMac, it is worth it.

I've been using this computer nearly non-stop for about two weeks not. Excellent machine for just about any task a casual user would need to do. Coming from a mid-tier 2013 intel-based iMac 21.5" that would no longer accept updates beyond Catalina, this thing more than outperforms that one. I was holding off for a new M1 Apple silicon version as long as I could. Macs aren't inexpensive - but worth every penny and they outlast those "other" PCs. For my use case: browsing internet, YouTube, email, spreadsheets, light coding work, occasional light photo and video work...it works great. VERY fast for these more basic tasks. Opening apps is almost instantaneous. I have tried to push this machine as far as I could based on how I might use it. Multiple apps (running natively on M1), Safari with multiple tabs where I was running four 4K videos in YouTube - there was high memory pressure but it was handling it. I haven't really used apps requiring Rosetta to this point so I can't speak to that. One reason I wanted this particular version - 8GB RAM with 512GB SSD, is that it has one additional GPU core as well. And, not revealed on Apple's specs - research I was doing seemed to reveal there is also an additional fan. I never hear the fans come on (if they do they are very quiet) and doesn't seem to get very warm. But for the small increase in price for a preconfigured system with a larger SSD, additional GPU and fan (just in case), I thought it to be worth the money. I originally was going to custom order a 16GB RAM version for a more future proof system but it was to the point my old iMac was brutally slow to work with. So with dwindling supply of these in the retail network, I ran down to Best Buy to pick this one up. The 24" Retina display is really nice. It is a perfect screen size for me. I have plenty of screen real estate to see multiple apps at once and the clarity is unbelievable. I don't plug very many things into ports on my computers, but the extra couple of ports over the base model is worth the upgrade and nice to have available anyway. I can keep a couple lightening cables plugged in for charging my iPad and iPhone and still have additional ports available if I need them for adapters, etc. I'm very happy with this purchase. Go get you one! And, Best Buy makes it easy.

Had the previous model(non M1) and even though I’m a die hard Mac fan, it was slow with the slow hard drive. I love the all in one though and after buying a M1 mini I was blown away. So I but the bullet and bought this. Absolute game changer. Stunning quality and speed. Only limitation is the ssd hard drive size if you are coming from a machine with a bigger hd. So plan on buying an ssd external drive for it. You can even just use a thunderbolt external drive as a much bigger boot drive if you choose to go that way with some extra work. Pleased with this machine.
