This was a surprise movie but didn't really care for it.

It is impossible to watch Akin's film without reflecting on the immigration debates currently roiling the political landscape in both Europe and America. But In the Fade isn't a "message" film, despite the director's nod to recent events in the closing frames. Akin makes no secret of his allegiance to the immigrant community, but his choice of a classically blonde, blue-eyed Aryan as the film's protagonist is deliberate and purposeful, emphasizing the universality of family devotion and the equally universal agony when violence rips families apart. The political climate may change in future years, but In the Fade will remain a vital and electrifying account of one woman's harrowing battle with unimaginable loss. Highly recommended.

First, a dubbed version is available on this Blu-ray and it's well done. Bought this because I like Diane Kruger. She's excellent in it and the ending is near perfect.

Blindbought this movie and im glad i did. Im sure not a lot of people heard about this one, id recommend it if you are looking a lil gem

Wasn't overly thrilled with this movie but I am a fan of some of the cast and it wasn't totally boring by any means.

Definitely one of my top ten favorite films of 2017. Oscar nomination well deserved. Should it of won I would say yes mostly because I haven’t seen “A Fantastic Woman” I’m sure it’s good too. Back to this film Diane Kruger was phenomenal and the story was great. It’s definitely a revenge film. Regret not watching this in the cinema when it was out.

I should have noticed this blu ray did not come with a digital copy but I took it for granted as most new releases nowadays do. The film itself was not that good either. If you rent, rent it, but I would not recommend buying this film as it is just not as good as the trailer and online reviews seem to think it is.

Inspired by true story of events that involve terrorism in Germany and the tragic loss is husband and daughter , Kruger investigates and is embedded in her living torture of this senseless killing . Her performance is 100% Oscar level with her brilliant acting and heart wrenching outbursts . Do not miss this performance.

Good acting and plot. Not the usual Kruger movie but she did a great job.

Rather tepid telling of a woman dealt with the death of her child and husband at the hands of terrorists. Her attempt to find justice with the law and peace with herself leads to an un foreseen conclusion. Diane Kruger is a force in this..

The story was good, just the production was subpar. It highlighted the sometimes injustice of the justice system, but the story line of the movie was convoluted, which took away from the overall theme.

I found out quickly after putting movie on that it wasn’t in English. Not a big fan of subtitles so I changed audio to English. I stuck with it but it wasn’t a movie I would watch again.

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

this movie explains why this only made it to dvd. not worth paying big bucks to see on the big screen

interesting story of woman who lost her family.. If you are tired of another Hollywood movie, I recommand this.
